Disk copies all the way.
I've just watched presentation from the Eurogamer. They showed some gameplay of the Contract mode, neat stuff. Two things caught my attention. One, the fiber wire will kill your target and you are immediately dragging the body. Second, say goodbye to rifle case. Apparently 47 can now store his rifle in his pocket.

It might just be a beta thing they haven't yet put in, who knows. Doing that just seems a bit bizarre.
What are the requirements for Silent Assassin on Blood Money? I did the vineyard mission only killing my targets through poison syringes, no witnesses, no bodies found, took 5 minutes, nothing other than targets harmed in any way

Wait do you have to leave with your suit on? Fuck time to do it again

Got it
I have an alternative approach for the opera mission
Just snipe/silenced pistol the opera guy, its faster than replacing the gun and if you have the low velocity ammo upgrade noone will see you

They said he wont have a briefcase in Absolution because "he is on the run" so that's how its going to be.
Disappointing if you ask me.

I agree, that's probably the first real bad thing. Then again, because of the cases I almost never utilized snipers in BM.
Cases are cool because you can carry it around in public, mount it up on another floor (causing magically nobody to see you), kill your target silently, pack up and leave
The case was MOSTLY visual stuff, the only gameplay effect it had was that you couldn't carry your case and a two-handed gun at the same time.
I wish that you could actually go into missions in BM with a case that fits any two hander

Or when you, you know, wanted to actually snipe your target. A case is a wee bit less suspicious than a sniper rifle.
i think being able to store at least one rifle in your coat is alright honestly.
i mean you can cram an mp5 with a fixed stock into your suit. i'm willing to let them use a little hammerspace cause it would be cool to be able to carry around a shotgun or something.
Carrying a shotgun in your suit is hard. I should know.
Here's a new thing. It's pretty awesome.

Yay enemies that don't kill you on sight!
I like how they made it so they don't shoot you when you are dragging bodies. That is a nice touch.
From the Hitman wiki.
From ages five to seven, 47 was quiet and showed little social behavior, his only display of affection being toward a runaway laboratory rabbit he adopted, much to Ort-Meyer's displeasure. He first took in the rabbit on August 21, 1970 and it died on May 2, 1972. In Ort-Meyer's journal, he observes that 47 is crying, and he's never seen one of his clones do so before.
I really cant see him crying. I thought he was meant to be emotionless.
Well he was a kiddo then.

He's shown emotion before.

[sp]Like when he called diana a bitch[/sp]
I know that kill mode vid will upset like every youtube shitlord there is, but this is honestly what hitman should have been from the beginning. A chillingly efficient and merciless killing machine. I expect him to be able to pull off that stuff because he's superhuman and all.
In fact, it's 10x better than convictions autokill system ever was.
I cant FUCKING WAIT!
He kept a pet bird throughout the series, finally killing it in Blood Money because it was about to give away his position when they raided his hideout.
He even sheds a manly tear.

Actually, the pet canary was introduced in Blood Money, I don't remember 47 owning a pet canary in Codename 47 or Silent Assassin. I don't know about Contracts, as I haven't played that game in the series.
he has it only in order so he knows when people are coming
actually hitman has been known to keep little things on his person at least in two instances.
the rosary from 2 and the canary from 4.
i guess it's a way to show he's sort of settling down but in both instances [sp]shit got real and he had to leave them behind[/sp]
also of course it's hard to hide a shotgun in your coat :downs:, that's why i used the word hammerspace.
[editline]3rd October 2012[/editline]
also considering the fact that a shotgun can be much less bulky than some of the weapons hitman can carry in his coat, i don't find it "unrealistic" given the circumstances at all.
you're talking about realism in a world with clones and where magnum bullets can send people flying like lubed up jointless dummies full of air.
i wonder what surrendering is like, if hitman's counter attack happens automatically or you can wait till the moment where they shoot you in the head.
Maybe you can hide a small shotgun. And I am pretty sure you choose when to counter attack.

I would think so. You can already hide a standard sniper rifle with attached silencer.
I imagine that an Ithaca with only the pistol grip and no scope, and a four to six shot tube would be easily hidden in a suit. If he had like, the pocket for it :v:

Kinda like this, but with a shorter barrel and or tube

A plot point in the first game is that your creator is replacing you with a new series of clones. The 48 series. You're being replaced because you're the perfect clone, but that means you have emotions and Ort-Meyer wants ruthless killers so that's no good at all... So he sends them after you, but your emotions give you an edge and you kill them all.
Yay enemies that don't kill you on sight!
In hitman all of the enemies NEVER killed you on sight, first they shout, run up to you, scratch their heads and then suddenly twitch into shooting at you.

In some areas yeah, in most areas they'd just start shooting on sight.
IIRC BM had mostly guards that wouldn't shoot before asking. Still were some funky situations tho.
Hitman 2 was hilarious. Something akin to security guards not allowed to carry Berettas and such.
