On the opera mission on blood money, workers carry nailguns Except that if you dress up as one and pick a nailgun up every single mother fucker opens fire on you
He's shown emotion before. [editline]3rd October 2012[/editline] [sp]Like when he called diana a bitch[/sp]
Doesn't he also grumble something after climbing a ladder at some point in C47/SA?
If the blood trail detection makes a return, a whole new level realism right here.
It would be cool if it was an actual blood trail, and not just a splotch that occurs every few feet like in BM.
here's the best way to protect a hideout from hitman : make all the guards and people who are allowed to get in black
here's the best way to protect a hideout from hitman : make all the guards and people who are allowed to get in black
Some shoe polish and red lipstic is all he needs.
here's the best way to protect a hideout from hitman : make all the guards and people who are allowed to get in black
Won't work. In BM in the first Las Vegas contract the doctor has bodyguards who I think are all Arabs. They aren't surprised at all when one of their buddies is a white bald man.
not all arabs look like sterotypical rug pilots buddy i totally understand what you're saying though
also remember hitman's DNA is made up of sequences from people all over the globe.
also remember hitman's DNA is made up of sequences from people all over the globe.
all arabs have DNA scanners in their eyes
dude it simply means that his face itself is designed to be... not necessarily unremarkable, because hitman does have a mug that can really stand out.. but more like he has a mix of all these traits so it could be that he's an arab just they assume he had a white mom or dad or some shit
dude it simply means that his face itself is designed to be... not necessarily unremarkable, because hitman does have a mug that can really stand out.. but more like he has a mix of all these traits so it could be that he's an arab just they assume he had a white mom or dad or some shit
Do you really believe that?
Some of the Arabs in that level were white anyway.
yeah but unless he pulls off a seriously good black face or even chinese face (i guess that's easier because all you need is tape for your eyes??) he can't get in, anyway why not just have retinal scanning for the guards
Do you really believe that?
I think it's a pretty cool way to explain the whole "noone noticing this tall, bald, white killer-guy" thing. And it was awesome travelling around the world in Codename: 47, [sp] killing all sorts of different ethnic races, and finally realizing that these were the guys you were made from. The oh-so-white Fuchs, Triad-leader Lee Hong, that russian motherfucker with his boat, his nuke and his insane hencmen, the drug lord in the jungle,[/sp] all those guys. It fitted so well with the story, and it's a hilarious way to explain it all. I really like it.
47 being a massive obvious white bald man in a suit is intended as dramatic irony, it's glaringly obvious to us that he's completely out of place in a lot of places, but the characters don't know that.
You'd think that personal bodyguards to the Sheikh would know exactly who was a legit member of their party, but nope, this white bald guy that just appeared out of nowhere, even though we don't know him, can't possibly be not legit, right?
I just reinstalled Hitman: Contracts, was reminded of how much I hate the first mission but then worked out a plan to get Silent Assassin, which I did :V I thought that the Meat King was supposed to die if you stick a knife or whatever into the chicken? I did but, no reaction.
Do you really believe that?
not really but it's basically what people who wonder about this shit think. it's really the only explanation that could even begin to make sense even though it really doesn't. hitman has an incredibly bold face with striking features and he's pretty easily identifiable, but what the fuck else are people going to think?
I thought that the Meat King was supposed to die if you stick a knife or whatever into the chicken? I did but, no reaction.
no you stick the knife in the chicken so you can pass the guards with it and stab him
It's just like Sam Fisher's glowing green goggles, or Altair's striking white cloak; it's so that the player knows where their avatar is at all times, which is especially important when the character is in the middle of a crowd or hidden in shadows.
not really considering you can disguise and lots of disguises obscure the face and again lots get rid of the whole bald problem. in fact hitman's actual face has changed greatly over the series. at first he was very thuggish looking and now it's progressing more into this sort of really dangerous grizzled look (especially with the eyebrows in bloodmoney and extraspecially in absolution, those eyebrows could cut Gibraltar in half) [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] also considering those game's camera angles are insanely far out. in splinter cell you can actually see sam's whole body and a great deal around him, plus in splinter cell the unrealistically glowy goggles was more for darkness than being able to pick him out of a crowd... in ass's creed it's perfectly understandable because the camera was insanely zoomed out. no offense but with the camera in hitman you'd have to be retarded not to know who you're controlling.
So, Facepunch, what Hitman game would you recommend for a newcomer to the series? I've only played like half an hour of one of the Hitman, and I enjoyed what I played. Should I start at the beginning? Any titles that would be worth skipping? Anything I should know before I begin playing?

If you're on PC you can get the Hitman collectio with Hitman: Codename 47 (the first), Silent Assassin (the second), and Blood Money (the fourth). If you're on the console you can get Silent Assassin, Contracts (the third, a partial remake of the first) and Blood Money. I highly recommend playing them in order.
Don't play Blood Money first because it will spoil you. [editline]5th October 2012[/editline] Contracts is on PC too, just not on Steam.

The first one I played was Blood Money. I was really amazed at how good the game was but I tried the previous games and ehhhh. Didn't like em so much.

You remember the video of the Library playthrough right? 47 actually covers and pretends to scratch at his face as he walks by people disguised, and a meter shows up telling you how suspicious people are getting of you when you pass them. I like that they made it this way. Since 47 is on the run, it makes more sense for people to start taking a second look at him, disguised or not. Hell, they even played around with it with one of the police officers, because one of them thought 47 looked like a fellow officer who quit the force years ago. I love what they're doing with this game. I'm sold.
Play them in order, skip Codename 47.
skip codename 47 and you don't experience what started it. also experiencing the plot firsthand is better than flashbacks and wiki entries. it's probably best to play codename 47 when you have some time to kill, but you definately should play it if you consider yourself a hitman fan. i started with SA way back like a year after it came out then did contracts when it came out, both on ps2. then i got a computer and played the first a bit in anticipation for bloodmoney. personally i think it's the best order to play them in, 2, contracts, 47 then bloodmoney. and 47 is the only game with bullet casings for every gun, not just bolt actions, revolvers and shotguns it's probably not a good idea to play it without first playing either 2 or contracts first. the controls suck.
I don't know what you guys are talking about I couldn't get into his little private area, no matter what I wore
You tried dressing up as Henrik Schmutz?
