Bought Absolution on GMG - what a steal!
Shame you don't get the Sniper Challenge, though.
so in the preorder are those DLC just skins or actual guns?
a hitman game without a spas 12? it's dlc instead? what the fuck?

If you're talking about the agency gun pack, those are just skins, you can get the same weapons in the game without the agency skin (as far as I know the agency guns do a bit more damage)
There are very few cases where 47 shows emotions. The only ones I can think of are the ones where he cries about the death of his rabbit, anger when he gets bullied during his childhood, and I think I recall a time where he was grumbling under his breath about something in annoyance.
Hell, looking at the wiki there's shit I never even knew about him. Stuff like how he used to shoot smiley faces into his targets when he was bored at the training facility, or how he made slingshots so he could fling things at the facility's staff.
It caught me off guard, in the good way. I hope in Absolution, we see just a tad bit more of 47's held back emotions.
He also recoils in disgust when a hooker kisses him in the first game, though in Contracts his memories are revised so that he looks more confused and surprised than grossed out.
he's probably been trained to totally put off women... he is kind of a looker despite being bald.
contracts takes place mostly inside of his head. so that disgust he showed on the outside was a gut reaction, but on the inside he really didn't know how to deal with it.

thank god. the notion that all guns aren't available from the start is a stupid one. hopefully they'll release DLC that isn't just adding more guns. they can add more guns, just give us more levels and other goodies too.
again, does anyone have any info on buying guns and accessories and if we'll be able to put silencers and shit on "non hitman" guns?
Words, words, words, question about weapons and silencers
As I know you can put silencers off and on mid game on any weapon if it's something like this:
-You get the Hard Ballers with the silencers with you for the mission
-You take off the silencer
-Change guns and put on the silencer on the other gun
As far as it goes for buying of weapons, i saw a bit of the costumising but I didn't see the purchase screen. In the costumising you can have max 3 attachments on your weapons.
and on any weapon?
eh it's like 20 days away anyways.

Can't really know because the expressions in codename 47 are so limited.
looked moer confused than disgusted to me
I might also play the old games again before I buy Absolution. I never really played Hitman 2, so I should probably try that out. Contracts was an amazing game, Blood Money as well, so I shold probably revisit those if I get the time.

US doesn't get it. I think it's only for EU.
I love how the Hitman Wiki reads like it was written by a 10 year old with a thesaurous.

"Agent 47 liquidated both of his contracted targets and successfully emigrated the Chilean vineyard without notice. "
emigrated?
[editline]5th November 2012[/editline]
yeah seriously they misuse words completely.

That gave me a good laugh.

- The game does not force you into any kind of gun battle outside of the tutorial. There are places where brute force is encourages, but can be avoided.
- There are Signature Kills that show more unique deaths and doing so will unlock extra abilities; like speedier movement and more accurate shooting abilities.
- The manual checkpointing system is broken; they neither save the NPC incapacity status, nor NPC positions. Everybody except killed targets are reset after checkpoint reload.
- There are no giant-sized levels like in the scale of a Beldingford Manor from the older games. Levels have been broken down into smaller, distinct chunks.
- Reviewer advises to bump up the difficulty to dial down instinct’s benefits a tad if you want to play like a true Hitman.
- The game’s scoring system was broken in one instance: they played a two part mission where they killed ten people in the first part, then entered the second part and noticed that nobody was suspicious of the earlier events. The then played the second part of -the mission silently and earned a Silent Assassin rating.
- Other missions handle the scoring system much better, noted that there are so many built-in score-boosting challenges it will take hours to finish them.
- The campaign is huge with each containing hours of alternative kills, pick-ups and Easter eggs. On its own the campaign is a winner.
- The mode Contracts is a great inclusion to the series.

This is incredible. In a terrible, terrible way.
Game wikis in general are pretty professional looking at least... This honestly seems like... What.
The 'Description' section is on every fucking mission and it's just some kid who's played the game and turned their runs into a retarded little story and stuck it on the wiki for no reason.
I used to maintain a game wiki and this genuinely bothers the hell out of me. I'm fixing it. :colbert:
The name of the mission is a reference to the vows taken before indulging in marriage.
Wow.
Hm, I'm a bit worried about the rewards for special actions. Hopefully those actions are something like the best solution to eliminate the target. (Not best, more like the most creative)

I'm guessing it'll be like in Sniper Challenge, so some will be for creative kills, and others will just be for shits and giggles (like the "Shoot a guy down an elevator shaft" and the "Shoot stripper stuff to get a naked lady lololol")
Only thing really bothering me from those reviews was the mentioning of level sizes. Then again there could be more levels, as long as the game keeps me occupied some ten hours with the main story I'm fine with it. All other cons looked like things overlooked in QA which most certainly will be patched.
they said the campaign is well done.
that probably means lots of missions, if they're small.
Yeah, as I said, size doesn't matter if it keeps me occupied
[editline]5th November 2012[/editline]
Then again "well done" could just mean creative missions and a good story
yeah considering how empty other missions in other games were, in this game i'm betting you can go inside most interiors and shit.
if the level size is decreased they most likely increased the detail
The jacket looks pretty cool but the large red stripes on the inside and the small '47' insignia kinda ruins it, though the red stripes are covered when you wear it.
The "Merces Letifer" and the insignia logo longsleeves look real nice though
stripes? i'm pretty sure that's a barcode in red
[editline]5th November 2012[/editline]
they're all subtle enough for most people not to know what the fuck the shirt is about. i might actually get one.

Barcodes, stripes, same thing :v:
But like the Deus Ex trench coat i am kinda disappointing that they didn't really went for the in-game outfit since that one looks really awesome
