Maybe they mean disappearing after they hide them? If so, that isn't too bad.
I'd be completely okay with that.
As for the guards respawning, do they clarify what they mean? Like guards spawning in the area after being detected or something? Because again, guards just simply respawning completely breaks the game. I find it very hard to believe they'd do this, as it's like, a quarter of the game.
If guards are actually respawning or spawning in some no access room I'm out.
Well, I've got 9 days for more reviews to come out before I decide I need to hit Steam Support up for a cancellation.
Well, I've got 9 days for more reviews to come out before I decide I need to hit Steam Support up for a cancellation.
In the same boat, i got 5 days till i can't cancel the game
I hadn't read the article, but apparently the author who wrote it also gave the PC version of Max Payne 3 55%. So yeah, I'll wait until more reviews are in.
So basically it's completely invalid and wrong, okay, that's good to know.
And they said they had split the levels into sections just for contracts mode but could you take a photo please?
Sorry for the crappy quality.
Sorry for the crappy quality.
It kinda sounds like he's just making shit up, considering that we've seen plenty of footage that shows the complete opposite of what he's saying.
im sure no one wants to believe this but why would he be making it up unless thechuz is trolling.
It kinda sounds like he's just making shit up, considering that we've seen plenty of footage that shows the complete opposite of what he's saying.
Bet he didn't play further than the introductory level too. Rock Paper Shotgun said that there's fairly open levels right after it. edit: Bodies probably didn't vanish either. Remember in Blood Money when a body was found someone would eventually come along and put them in a plastic bag and drag them off somewhere?
Actually it does sound like he's describing that introduction level quite a lot. Getting from A to B? On the run from someone? No one to kill? All things previews have said are unusual and part of the first level. 'Respawning' guards would make sense for that level too, since it's a full-scale police search and they're bringing in units from all around the city to sweep the area for 47, so it was probably reinforcements arriving. I suppose we'll see when more reliable reviews come along.
Anyone who preorders Hitman gets the Hitman Collection for free now
Holy fucking shit, it's on Steam, my browser was just being a bit dodgy. I'm pre ordering right now, as I haven't got any of the older games for PC.
Honestly, the credibility for PC Gamer shot way down when they rated SW:TOR 93%
Uh oh, PC gamer wasn't happy with Absolution. Gave it a 62 because it abandoned what made the past games great apparently. (No save function, Guards that you kill respawn, bodies vanish, and most mission you have have to go through a certain door with a disguise on so there is no other way past it.)
The respawning and the bodies sounds strange, but I like the idea of not allowing saves, that made the first one pretty intense.
Just thought, maybe he's saying stuff disappears and guards respawn upon entering a new section of the level and returning to it? Who knows. Whoever wrote the article is shit either way, because if you're going to rate a game that low for a well known magazine you should at least go a bit more in depth to why it was bad.
Looks like both OPM and OXM gave it a 9/10, saying it is the peak of the series and it has perfected the formula. A German magazine called Play3 also gave it an 88%, saying the missions are well designed and the game mechanics are motivating. I don't know how valid these sources are, but take this as you will.
I'm fine with no saves. I never saved at all in Blood Money. Made it too easy.
I'm fine with no saves. I never saved at all in Blood Money. I love hastily putting together an escape after being discovered dumping a body, makes it so much more intense
Saving in that game makes it way too easy and gets rid of many of the fun parts of it. Scratch what it is I just said, its better to disarm them, drop their gun, pull out your massive ass silenced silverballer and shoot them in the head while they surrender. fuck I need to play BM again.
i love the knock head, two punch KO on people in Blood Money. always gives me a good chuckle :v:
I can't nor do I want to imagine someone who doesn't want it to be like that in Hitman.
And in Absolution, it's so much more intense. Surrounded? Fake a surrender, knock the gun out of a guy's hand then use him as a meat shield as you execute everyone who has discovered you. Hide bodies, move on. I'm calling bullshit on the disappearing bodies and respawning guards. I've heard of devs putting stupid things in games, but these guys know what they're doing.
wow 42 new posts over a negative PCG review. you actually take what that shit publication has to say to heart? THEY RATED HELLGATE LONDON 88 PERCENT AND LOST ME 70 DOLLARS ON THE ULTIMATE COLLECTOR'S EDITION! [editline]10th November 2012[/editline] to everyone who doesn't take the PCG review with a couple grains of salt (as in: treat it as a giant smelly pile of bullshit), you're being led on by a publication that has a history of being terrible at reviewing games for the past half a decade.
PC Zone once sent me a copy of that game as a prize for a mini-review in the letters section. I already owned it. Oh, and it was two years after the servers were shut down. I miss that magazine, it was actually worth buying, unlike PC Gamer, which is getting to be a published equivilent of something like IGN, with reviews like these.
again, hellgate london 88 percent and you people listen to what they have to say...
I really like PC Gamer. Their regular articles and news are really just top notch and they're usually quicker than RPS, but man, are they awful reviewers. Just so bad. Never trust a PC Gamer review.
i love the knock head, two punch KO on people in Blood Money. always gives me a good chuckle :v:
It always confuses me how a big stream of blood comes out the guys head you headbutt. 47 has balds of steel.
Am I the only one who goes on a massive rampage after a few unsuccessful tries to get a silent assassin because of some stupid mistake?
