It would be cool to see a cooporative mode involving the Saints.
I've always wanted to have a Hitman co op feature (That is worked out well, not some half-assed thing but i am sure they could do something like this) But then again in the typical Hitman style of Blood money and H: 2, not Splinter Cell..)
that is right you could create your own storylines. then those levels could be put together as one big story. a collection of levels you download. contracts mode would probably have popular ratings. so the best stories could be easily identified. IOI could even go over and recommend stories and even individual levels. i hope contracts mode is cross platform. it would have to be to be decent given hitman's relatively small community. [editline]13th November 2012[/editline] anyone remember timesplitters future perfect? there were some pretty good god damn custom levels to download in that game. this is all kinda reminiscent of that. except you could create entire levels.
I really doubt its cross platform, hardly anything is these days.

Not sure how to put it..
They could re-use the idea of an NPC chasing you down if your notoriety got too high in blood money, One player is 47 and plays the mission like normal and the other guy is an assassin who needs to kill 47.

Co-op could be fun, like a mission where one gets into a good sniper-spot, and another then has to lure the target out of the building or something like that.
Problem with coop in hitman is the game is about achieving success how you want it. Sadly 2 people never really have to same thing in mind.

Or it could be competitive co-op where you have the same target but whoever gets them first/more effectively wins.

Or it could be that one player is the target and the other is 47. That could be fun. right?
Or it could be that one player is the target and the other is 47. That could be fun. right?
Not really since you're relying on dumb bodyguards, and it will just end up in a shootout.
Guys how about this for multiplayer. An asynchronous multiplayer where one player makes "Contracts" creating a challenge for others to try and follow exactly in his footsteps! These maps can be uploaded online and the community can choose a featured Contract to play and try to match the contract set by the creator! Edit Keep in mind guys that Eidos had a long time to work on this game, no doubt that they brainstormed ideas for multiplayer and came up with the Contracts idea as the best one. There is a reason this is the only multiplayer mode to begin with.

I can see where the people who don't think this is proper Hitman are coming from. Then again this game has many of the previous games' elements, like disguises and generally being a suave as fuck assassin. There seems to be killing too though. I think the game has to be "linear" for the plot to work. You cant just put the old school killing arenas here, with every mark saying "your princess is in another castle" until you kill the last guy.
well actually i'm guessing you're just killing every threat to the girl in existence. so you're either working your way up a chain or just killing random people or a little of both.
The contractor from the China Town mission might have to do with some of the hits in the game.
I was playing Hitman: Absolution, it's pretty fun actually. I can livestream if ya'll want?
Also lead character artist for Absolution, Tom Isaksen, blogged about some characters he helped create.
I was playing Hitman: Absolution, it's pretty fun actually. I can livestream if ya'll want?
How is it? Are the worries from PC gamer true? How long is each "area" segment of a level in average, if you're playing stealthily?
How is it? Are the worries from PC gamer true? You can watch me here, http://www.livestream.com/explizid The level segment, do you mean the time between checkpoints? If so, it's sometimes 6 minutes, it just really depends.
I hope you can disable most if not all of the UI -- especially the minimap.

By area I mean each point between a loading screen or cutscene. Apparently there's 50 of them, so a general length would be good to know :)
A good deal of those were proven to be objectively wrong. The others are opinions.
I hope you can disable most if not all of the UI -- especially the minimap.
Purist mode makes it so that the only UI you have is a crosshair.
Purist mode makes it so that the only UI you have is a crosshair.
Great. The whole UI is so unbefitting of a stealth game, it's horrid.
Purist mode makes it so that the only UI you have is a crosshair.
i think even that's a little to much
i think even that's a little to much
Not really. Its the highest difficulty. [editline]13th November 2012[/editline] God forbid they do things that might make the hardest difficulty difficult.
