seems a bit odd for a third person game to have no crosshair, unless this has fps mode (which i haven't seen yet)
No, everything is removed except the crosshair.
I murdered an entire train station, and all I got was -114,000 points.

Half of the people at train station despawned though, guess when they ran, they ran into the sky or soimething (?). :tinfoil:
What... how did you get to play it early?
What... how did you get to play it early?
Either he's in Australia or it was probably released early by a local retail game store.

Worldwide release, we don't get it that early, just a few hours.

Xbox 360 leak, or he got it early on one of the consoles.

Good thing there will be a crosshair then, eh?
wait is first person mode present in this game?
also with sniper rifles did it go back to that lame shit where pressing fire zooms the scope or you press a second button to zoom and you can use a sniper rifle like a battle rifle?
I really doubt its cross platform, hardly anything is these days.
Its easy, the database with the very few flags can jist be shared.

It's the same way it is in the sniper challenge.
shame i never played it....
do snipers need to be zoomed to fire?

I don't really noscope in Sniper Challenge so I never actually tried that
you can't noscope in sniper challenge but there's pretty much no reason for you to at all
You would have rather shitty accuracy if you could no scope in the sniper challenge.
47 always works alone so co-op would have to be two random ICA agents, or the Saints or something like that.
Speaking of which, the first thing I thought of when I imagined a Hitman multiplayer mode was something where 2 hitmen have to assassinate the same target. The catch is that every round, the 2 players spawn as a random model that civilians use, so you would never know if a player was real or not. (Unless he made it obvious.) Killing the other assassin would disconnect the player, leaving the rest of the mission to you. You would only get XP/Points/whatever if you successfully assassinated your target.
But y'know, contracts is cool otherwise.
As we all should, that's the way to be.
Saw this on another forum:
I have reviewed this game, although I would like to remain anonymous. I can honestly say that the comments Mr Francis has made about the game are entirely false. Assassinations are NOT cutscenes any more than they are in Blood Money (IE an animation once the 'accident' is set up or whatever is the way it's always been – it's not a cutscene because you're either choosing to stick around and watch – in full control – or you're already making your escape or whatever, NEVER is control taken away from you).
As for checkpoints THEY ONLY EVEN EXIST ON LOW DIFFICULTY. Meaning this reviewer played it through on easy or medium and since he claims to be an experienced Hitman player, he should know that these difficulty levels were not made for him. He has essentially failed to do the job he has been paid to do.
The 'pointless' objectives (open a door) refers to exiting the level once the hit has been complete. YOU HAVE ALWAYS HAD TO EXIT THE LEVEL ONCE THE HIT WAS COMPLETE.
Some of the levels are small, sure, but THERE ARE FIFTY OF THEM.
The AI is fantastic as always. 47 is the catalyst. Mix him with the AI in any way and entertaining (and often unexpected) things happen. Just as they always have, but way, way better than ever before. The story is, admittedly, quite poor, but it's also irrelevant. It ties one playground to the next by a thin thread and that's all that matters.
Do not listen to Tom Francis. He has failed to do his job and speaking as a fellow reviewer, in my opinion deserves to be severely scolded for it, both by the general gaming public, who he has failed, by the developer and publisher of the game, who he has failed, and by the company he works for, who he has failed. Once you lot get to play the game, you will immediately see how FACTUALLY incorrect this review is. It's chock-full of out and out lies.

Preordering now!

I am now leaving this thread to avoid spoilers. See you on the other side, bye!
i am running out of things to do for these 6 days help
i am running out of things to do for these 6 days help
Contracts/Blood Money/Sleeping Dogs/Borderlands 2 idk. I've been playing 3 of those, probably getting Sleeping Dogs to waste some time over the weekend though.
Or Kane & Lynch, fuck now I kind of want to replay it again.

Broadcast yourself playing Cabelas Dangerous Hunts 2013. Good luck...
I have a lot of TV shows and animu to watch actually. Might as well now that I got the time.
Consider yourself lucky to only have to wait 6 days. This game comes out for me on the 20th as well, but I refuse to play it on the computer I have now. I can run the game well enough, but that laggy twitching is there and I'd rather enjoy the game without it.

This is still great so I'll post it again.
i'm replaying kane and lynch and when i'm done with that i'm replaying silent assassin but i'm gonna stealth as much as possible but if i need to shoot it out i'm going to matrix style carry an arsenal of weapons on me.
Does anybody have odd glitches with Hitman 2 on the PC? It seems like it doesn't handle new hardware very well. Physics are in fast motion and sometimes don't work properly; if anybody drops any items they will often fly around the room and then stop somewhere in midair where you can't reach them. I couldn't finish the first mission this way because the key to the basement was stuck in the ceiling. Cloth physics are in super fast motion. Animations also seem to have varying speeds, usually very slow. I tried the level on my PS2 copy and everything was fine, but I'm wondering if there's a fix for this on the PC version.

probably setting the CPU Affinity for the process to only one core in Task Manager, that tends to work for games that run "too fast" on modern hardware.
I tryied Hitman 2: Silent Assassin today... It went pretty badly... This game is good, but I made a big error. I got a disguise and dropped my silenced pistols to pask a frisk, but I forgot to drop my baller...
And then this happened:

Oh man I remember how in Blood Money in the christmas level the hame would crash when you dropped items. This made things so much more advanced.
So i've pre-ordered from Green Man Gaming, anyone else pre-ordered from them? I have a key for Absolution, but it doesn't activate on steam.
There are no keys yet, unless it's the Sniper Challenge one. In which case, I think you enter it here:

Never really got into playing the previous games because how fucking tense it would get. Given I first played them when I was like 10, they pretty much scared me shitless because of how the game put you in an actual sense of constant tension and paranoia, and every time I try playing one again it feels like the game is torturing me.
Hopefully I'll get into the new one rather easily :v:
Huh? That's weird, I already have sniper challenge, why do I have a spare code?
Anyone want a Sniper Challenge code?
I do, I don't have it.
If you want to of course, I preordered from GMG but we don't get Sniper Challenge with our preorder here, it's stupid.
