nah it's not that, i already have the games, just thought i'd get extra copies
Ah Ok.
I'm sad I read that spoiler - that's fucking awesome.
i'm glad, the thought of hitman nonchalantly [sp]eating an apple as he forces someone to do something terrible[/sp] is pretty awesome. it's also quite refreshing for the character, we haven't seen him do anything like that.
By the way, I got Swedish PCG today, and this reviewer gave it 80/100, saying gameplay was great and story wasnt that great. No mention of respawning guards, rather that if you alert an entire level they will probably call in backup to adjust the difficulty. Reviewer also mentioned that some levels felt exactly like Blood money.
so in expert mode how exactly is instinct recovered? do they limit it? cause i get the impression simply killing someone (who would intend to do you harm) willy nilly refills a bit at least. 24 gigs? jesus fuck. this game must really be as epic as the devs make it out to be. thats including the fact that there's shitloads of VO and other content like that too.
Probably all those levels. I hope they've compressed the shit out of that for the download though.
Try restarting your steam client, everyone who pre ordered Hitman Absolution should have gotten the other games.
You sure about that? I have the preorder in my library that I got elsewhere, but I didn't get any of the bonuses with it (such as the TF2 items nor the other games).
You'd only get that stuff if you preordered on Steam.
Probably all those levels. I hope they've compressed the shit out of that for the download though.
this game will most likely make me cry tears of joy after the first 20 minutes of pursuing through menus and playing a little
Might be late but i just saw a steam announcement for it. Hitman absolution has TF2 item pre-order bonuses now. Six of em The Hitt Mann Badge That '70s Chapeau The Chief Constable The Siberian Sophisticate The Quäckenbirdt The Deadliest Duckling
Holy fuck thank goodness I thought they had changed their minds about it.
I'm going to miss the wonky hilarious first person mode from the previous games.
I'm curious.. What's with the ducks?
Was it just me or in Hitman Blood Money, the first person view sometimes causes a excessive raise of gamma for no apparent reason.
Was it just me or in Hitman Blood Money, the first person view sometimes causes a excessive raise of gamma for no apparent reason.
happened to me, too
1 thing I hope isn't carried over from blood money is when you're tailing anyone, and you get within a a few meters distance without sneaking they'll turn around and stare at you and stop walking to where they're going, even if you just walked past them.

Fuck I want to play this so badly right now. I'm going to preorder it tomorrow, last game on my list of shit to buy since 2011 or so.
Does anyone know how long the Sniper Challenge takes to beat (preferably in hours)? I'm tempted to play it to fill in the space between now and Absolution, but I don't want to not have it finished with Absolution is released.

Yeah, the mission can be fast as hell, I can beat it in like a few minutes, but I can't ever get points, I still haven't managed a Silent Assassin, I think I'm too impatient.
Why do I keep seeing people playing this game? Was there some leak or something?

Most people I know only played it for 1-2 hours. I played it for 8 hours. It's a really fun little game if you're interested in improving your score. i think what they were trying to do with this game in general is capture how much of a big bad motherfucker 47 is. in previous games everything was so clunky hitman might as well have had cerebral palsy. in this game it seems like everything flows almost smoother than assassin's creed. even bloodmoney. i mean how fucking awkward was hand to hand combat? you still couldn't move while slashing with a melee weapon iirc. [editline]17th November 2012[/editline] i think locking in for a QTE or at least some kind of interactive open combat like asscreed is the way to go for games like this. all other methods are clunky and downright ugly in every sense.
Is pre-loading going to be soon?

I just finished playing it and there were times he'd get into really awkward situations. like i kept trying to fiberwire a guy who was walking up stairs and 47 kept flinching about to choke him until finally the guy turned to the side and 47 awkwardly snapped his neck super fast.
plus close quarters combat with guns. they took out pistol whipping so basically it was a guard running around like a frenzied ant and you trying to shoot them as they glitchily looped around you and shit. [editline]17th November 2012[/editline] now if you have a gun and you shoot in close quarters apparently you just execute them. i hope there's some reason for shooting people you've already put down but they're not dead yet. i dunno what it is about a coup de grace shot but it's really awesome. kinda like in how the previous games like every 1 in 100 person you shot would get injured and lie on the ground grunting until they died 30 seconds later. there need to be more instances of when the bullet simply knocks a person out, because that's what normally happens in real life. there's just something about pumping rounds into bodies to make sure they're dead... maybe it's me playing GTA4 to much.
I take it that the buying Absolution on greenmangaming activates on steam and doesn't get any of the extra stuff that you get for pre-ordering on steam, right?

i love how swag 47 looks with his collar popped
