I think you guys are worrying too much, My only fear is that it won't run well on my computer.
Absolution has become a stealth game rather than a Hitman game.
Here lies Hitman, R.I.P ~ May 26, 2006 the RPS review pretty sums up this shambles of a Hitman Game.
So seeing as how I am a impulsive buyer and I just bought Hitman from steam while still having a yet to come key from GMG come in and a refund that will most likely take 2-4 days which won't be accepted due to the key being in my visual possession. Is there anybody in this thread who would want a key from GMG (Professional Edition) for only $30 paid through Paypal as a gift. Send me a PM if you are interested. Btw, I'm creaming my pants over the thought of playing Hitman Absolution right now. That is all.
Here lies Hitman, R.I.P ~ May 26, 2006 the RPS review pretty sums up this shambles of a Hitman Game.
what the fuck are you people smoking hitman is a stealth game
Not really, it's a do-as-you-wish game.
jesus christ the fuck is up with all the 0/100 reviews saying shit that doesn't actually happen in the game and was proven that the info is wrong and people who go OH WELL I WANT ANOTHER BLOOD MONEY I EXPECTED BLOOD MONEY JUDGING BY HOW ABSOLUTION ISN'T ABOUT CONTRACTS ANYMORE
Tampered with some electronics then hid inside a trash can for 20 minutes, waiting for my target to kill himself with it. Such is the life of a Hitman.
Sounds like something 47 would post if he had a Facebook page.
Not really, it's a do-as-you-wish game.
it's sandbox but most people like to, I dunno, being stealthy and kill some dude, take his clothes and infiltrate the area they need to get into in order to assassinate someone
Here lies Hitman, R.I.P ~ May 26, 2006 the RPS review pretty sums up this shambles of a Hitman Game.
I don't understand why you are in this thread to begin with. All you do is read opinionated reviews from people, regurgitate the negative and then say its over for Hitman for everyone else. No, its not over for us, its over for you. Go play a different game and leave this thread if you know whats done is done already :)
jesus christ the fuck is up with all the 0/100 reviews saying shit that doesn't actually happen in the game and was proven that the info is wrong and people who go OH WELL I WANT ANOTHER BLOOD MONEY I EXPECTED BLOOD MONEY JUDGING BY HOW ABSOLUTION ISN'T ABOUT CONTRACTS ANYMORE
yes because the only good hitman games are ones which are like blood money
Sounds like something 47 would post if he had a Facebook page.
someone should make a 47 twitter account @agentfourseven "hung out in a trash can for 20 minutes to pop out and shoot a guy in the head #myjobsucks"
Not really, it's a do-as-you-wish game.
Except you get punished for not being stealthy and rewarded for using stealth.
Am I the only one who hopes that Absolution be more like Silent Assassin rather than Blood Money?
Am I the only one who hopes that Absolution be more like Silent Assassin rather than Blood Money?
I'm just hoping it isn't like blood money, I played the game recently and i think it could have been improved in a lot of aspects.
Am I the only one who hopes that Absolution be more like Silent Assassin rather than Blood Money?
I'd rather it be a Hitman game in its own right, instead of having to be exactly like one of the previous games.
Here lies Hitman, R.I.P ~ May 26, 2006 the RPS review pretty sums up this shambles of a Hitman Game.
Oh, this guy. I remember him making a hilarious video about Hitman: Absolution a year ago or so. Look at this pinnacle of comedy, he could win the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The use of "derp" really puts the humor over the top, while also acting as a commentary on the question of justifiable homicide and the use of extreme violence.
TB was complaining about when tossing a bottle the guard went to see WHERE THE BOTTLE FLEW FROM then says how its unrealistic. He also says how the targets are just objectives and lack any character and how the first guy in Blood Money had a background story. Even though everyone else in the game you kill are pretty much " yeah this guy's a scumbag and wont be missed".
Actually that guard followed the path he would take even if there was no bottle, it seems like a valid bug.
^He just threw the bottle too far, so the guard didn't hear it and followed the path he was going to take anyway.
Yay my ban is lifted, already had the new Power Unlimited for a day already and the review is awesome It has a Gold Award and a score of 96! Gameplay hours are at 80+ because of all the content The review really convinced me into getting the game!
Spent the last hour making contracts. One involves dressing as a chipmunk as you hunt down a Chef with a bong, another involves dressing as a Priest and killing hookers.

"why are people whining that it isn't blood money" I'll tell you why, because the series worked up to blood money and by then (part from a few clunky mechanics, melee etc) they had it nailed absolutely perfect. The sandbox, the freedom, the ability to choose your weapons and MANUALLY save. They had the formula polished to a bald head like shine, then they release this derpy, consolised, restrictive, linear nonsense. almost half the missions are A to B missions with no target? lemme check the box cause I'm sure it's called Hitman not Escortman or ConvictionMan, maybe it should be mainstreamed-man tho. I have it preordered, but at this point its out of sheer morbid curiosity and contracts mode that I haven't cancelled it already...and yes Ive played this on 360 already. oh well gotta go back to point shooting sam fisher style, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Stuff
Obviously you want blood money so go play blood money.
You're all so critical over something you haven't played yet. There's been so much conflicting information that it doesn't even matter what anyone says at this point cause who knows what to believe! I'm getting it regardless and I'll find out myself if it's good or not. But from what I can tell it just seems like massive amounts of nitpicking of why this game "sucks".
The only people saying it "sucks" is people who wanted another Blood Money. Even if it won't be a perfect Hitman game, it'll be an amazing stealth-action game.
That's how I think too. Even if it isn't as good as Blood Money, there still really isn't any other series quite like Hitman (maybe dishonored but I didn't play it).
Some highlights from the review • You could see each mission in 4 Phases, First one is Scouting, second one is Experimenting, third one is planning and the fourth is to execute it. Like the previous Hitman games it involves a trial-and-error type of playing so its handy to save a lot in these checkpoints • The humor is dark and gritty, for example in one of the levels there is a mug with a hobo in front of it who is reading a magazine, 47 then throws some money in the mug and the hobo screams "There's coffee in there you fucker!!" • They compared it with other stealth games like Dishonored and Deus Ex in terms of a true stealth game, all points were going to Hitman Absolution • They are convinced that this game is better then Hitman Blood Money as it kinda improves on most aspects of BM • You can attempt to complete levels in MANY ways, for example: Silent Assassin or Non-Lethal Dark Vision vs Instinct Mode Most unseen kills vs most public kills (while remaining in the dark) • The soundtrack had to be unbelievably awesome • There are some crazy ass characters you gotta kill, you got a hillibillie-assassin whos last words are "Why do i have wood?" when he bleeds to death on the ground Another crazy character is a SM-nun who is the boss of a death-gang which all exists out of SM-nuns • There is still a lot of freedom to the games, people were expecting it would be more laid down for you but fear not, enough freedom!

Maybe even better. The Disguises not working on people who have the same outfit as you makes sense, and stops you from just running straight to your target and killing him.

Dressing up in a disguise and awkwardly following your target around till it was alone was sort of dumb and threw away any immersion.
Blood Money is one of the best and most replayable games of all time, that's why people want this game to be more like Blood Money. The bottom line is that it will be a very fun game but nowhere near as replayable as Blood Money. A year from now people will have forgotten about it, and by time the next Hitman game is announced people will be saying "please don't make it like Absolution"
