You're right, there are a few reviews giving it mediocre scores but compared to how many are doing the opposite and saying it's great, makes the mediocre scores barely noticeable. Though to be fair, most reviews are pretty lop-sided anyhow.

The problem is the industry's shitty unbalanced rating system means games are either great or they're shit with nothing in between. A game gets a 8 and it's average, a 9 and it's great a 10 and it's CoD. And thing less than 7 is varying degrees of shit. That's a fucking broken system.

Im getting crashes on my 560ti windows 8 64bit. When I'm not getting crashes the screen goes black when I load up the first level and move forward. It is fine when I hit escape and go in the menus. Going to download the beta driver to see if that fixes things.
