Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I guess it was just the devs testing out stuff.
Does it matter if you upload screenshots to the cloud?
One more day for Hitman and Thanksgiving break hcgkkkkkkkkkk
I can't get over how good this game looks, I just wish my computer was up to the task of maxing it with ~60 FPS, I have a GTX480 but the things getting old now and it sucks. Does this game benefit from CPU power too? I might overclock again eventually if so, I can get my i5-760 up to around 3.6-3.8GHz safely.
I just got past the bit with Wade. [sp]Now I'm in South Dakota. Did Kane just start a bar fight when I turned off the jukebox? Brilliant.[/sp]
Fuck. This. Shit.
Purist really really doesn't joke around.
Terminus Hotel is impossible on it, don't even try.
I get to floor 8 just fine (read: after 20 tries) but that's when the problems start coming.
Guards every 2 feet is not fun.
I'll have to turn down the difficulty. 2hard4me.
That level almost made me close out of the game, and I'm only playing on Hard. I don't really like this whole new disguise system much, it feels like you're dodging yellow arrows all the time.
Anyway, the game got a quite a bit more fun after the strip club level in my opinion, and even more fun when I learned that you can fiber wire enemies silently and hide their body for a non-target kill with no penalty.
Also, the gun play in this is fun as fuck, all the weapons feel like they have real power behind them.
Is there any noticeable difference with the overclock on your cpu? I got mine to 4.4ghz, but then I updated the bios and lost the settings.
No Idea tbh, I've had my processor at this speed since I got it. This game seems to utilize CPU or GPU depending on level, just done a china town level and it was literally flooded with civilians [http://i.cubeupload.com/Id3CQm.jpg] and it was only using 55% of my GPU according to MSI, so it might help.
The sound design in this game is amazing, also that strip club level took me ages to figure out how to kill that guy, is there actually any way to kill him without being detected?
also loving the tessalation in the game, the amount of detail in 47's face is immense, probably better then MP3
It was always silly to me how in BM you could hold a disguise forever and get anywhere with it and do anything and nobody would even bat an eye at you. I.E. it's a little rediculous to be a janitor running around everywhere and being on rafters and other such things for a long period of time, which you did in BM often once you got a disguise. And once you got the "ultimate" disguise (aka the one disguise that would get you anywhere) it was peace of cake.
So its nice to see them trying to improve that aspect but it seems like they dropped the ball. Being instantly recognized by people who also dress like you do is silly. Instead they should have just made it so you only have a limited amount of time around other people dressed like you before your disguise is up, and made it so if you do ANY suspicous activity in a disguise (aka, running around in one, being places that the disguise is not commonly seen in, etc), then the "bar" at which you get detected goes much further down and you are more quickly seen as an imposter by people who wear your disguise.
I noticed in the strip club level being dressed as a police officer, the guards inside the club didnt suspect me at all, as soon as I changed into one of their outfits I had yellow arrows popping up all over the place

Which makes sense, because you obviously weren't recognized.

I was replaying Blood Money yesterday and the disguise system isn't that ridiculous in it. I disguised myself as an orderly in the rehab clinic level, and the guards were looking at me funny but didn't do anything until one of them saw me jump off a balcony, then he alerted the place, which made sense.
The disguise system is obviously wonky in any of the games but I think until they have the technology to make an absolutely flawless disguise system, they need to go back to Blood Money's, because without it there's very little opportunity to do anything but pure stealth.
If you think about it though it would have made for a much more fun and interesting mechanic if you just had to play the game differently and be really cautious in a "familiar" disguise (like being a guard near guards), instead of you just insta-losing. I.E. walking slowly, performing patrols, being apart of crowds (oh god I loved doing that in the wine mission in BM, being apart of tour groups to get in backdoor areas), doing your "job" at the right time, etc.
It feels like they recognized that the "you lose your disguise when around other people with the same look" mechanic simply didn't work by itself, by them shoehorning in the "instinct" mechanic to basically magically making a disguise work, is silly. They should have instead made stuff you actually DO in the game to make the disguise work around people who would be suspcious of it normally.
Why am I preloading a GB of stuff when I done so yesterday? Odd.
Which makes sense, because you obviously weren't recognized.
Yea, but I dunno if its good though, because if your not in the same costume as the guards you don't get recognized, its a bit odd having a police officer in a strip club, no?
Thanks for the VPN, working great but I have to download some stuff with it, it's gonna take forever.
edit: Actually, do I have to update the game with it? Or can I switch back now?

Yea, and I think they need to set missions in bigger areas with tons of types of characters to make the disguise system work better. For example the rehab clinic I was talking about has patients, orderlies, nurses, security guards, and private security guards protecting the VIP patients. In a level like that the Absolution disguise system would work better cause if you're disguised as an orderly you can pretty easily avoid the other orderlies and just walk past the security guards who don't know the orderlies that well. In a level with only security guards however, the disguise system becomes moot
Really? I had no issues with that one. Clean Silent Assassin.
You just gotta be patient.
Well, yeah. After I found an easy way I completed it in like what, 1-1:30 minutes with silent assassin.
I just tried other ways and such at first.
I forgot how hard Hitman games were when you hadn't completed them several times.
Also yeah dodging yellow arrows all over the place isn't that fun
How do I activate Sniper Challenge? I put my code in Steam and the Square Enix website and both say it's invalid.
starting to see some startling crap with this game
for instance, in KOCT, the king wont move untill you do something (ie: adopt a disguise etc etc) this is such bullshit

47's eyes like to bug out sometimes.

You have to go here: http://hitmansniper.com/
Why is it that every time I try to install this game, (aka start it up for the first time through the VPN) it stays at 0%, then gives me this:

Steam can not connect to the internet. Please see the Troubleshooting Network Connectivity article.

I fucking love the fire axe.

Well, my fears of the game have been laid to rest. I am having a blast with this game and it has a very distinct feel to blood money. I have not touched the contracts yet and i am saving that for after i am done with the main campaign.
Don't listen to the reviews.
That PC Gamer review was so full of shit.
Can I get the Sniper Challenge with the code sent from Green Man today (US here).
