US orders from GMG don't get the Sniper Challenge.
It's ridiculous how easily your disguises are seen through. I've also noticed on some parts that you are forced into firefights to progress. EDIT: I mean disguised as a goon on the orphanage mission is insane, they're everywhere and its just constant yellow arrows.
I haven't been forced into a single firefight yet. [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] Also, I've found that not using a disguise is often easier than using one.

Only mission I haven't had to restart at checkpoint so far
get good bro
Thanks for the helpful advice :L
But I'm constantly running out of instinct to actually do all that.
Hmm, what difficulty? On normal instinct doesn't get drained look through walls just when your disguised to avoid guards
Hmm, what difficulty? On normal instinct doesn't get drained look through walls just when your disguised to avoid guards
I'm playing on hard difficulty.
I'm playing on hard difficulty.
Fair enough, I'll report back when I attempt it on hard
Also there's an invisible guard on this level. He's interrogating a guard and all I see is a floating gun.
GOD! The lack of a save system is really killing the fun for me. I've only been able to make it it to the King Of Chinatown mission (Mission 2) and I can't accomplish anything, my cover just keeps getting blown. I could easily complete the mission, but not without killing a few other people. I can see a method of killing him silently, but I have to start all the way from the start each time I fail to execute it.
That why there are checkpoints.
not sure what the reason if for checkpoints when they could just give you a limited number of saves that you can activate anywhere. It just seems like shoddy design
Oh my god. [sp] KANE AND LYNCH IS IN THE GAME [/sp]
Oh my god. [sp] KANE AND LYNCH IS IN THE GAME [/sp]
Oh wow, Did honestly not see that coming. :v: Gunshop spoiler Same applies here
purist mode is pissing me off it is literally impossible to do anything involving disguises
Well I finally beat King of Chinatown, but only after abadoning all effort to assissinate the target and only the target. No matter how hard I tried to think of a clever way to retrieve an item I needed for my original planned hit, there was just no apparent way to retrieve it without blowing my disguise. I'm sure I could have figured it out eventually, but I was tired after wasting a good hour and a half on one level. And here's the thing, I usually don't mind wasting that much time completing a mission in Blood Money, but that's because in Blood Money, if I pulled off a really sneaky or complex maneuver to get to a strategic point or advatage (A Disguise, Item, Weapon, Etc), I could just save and restart from that point and keep experimenting for the next phase of the hit. In Absolution, no such luck. I realize I could lower the difficulty and get check points, but it's not the same as having a save system at your disposal. That said, my opinion on the overall game so far is good, it just feels like some of the changes they made to both the save system and disguise system hamper the experience. EDIT: Also I'm playing on Expert, so I do have some Instinct to rely on, but barely enough to accomplish anything.
Oh. Now we wait.
Oh god, it's updating.
orphanage level easter egg, saw it earlier [sp]on the desk before you enter the room where you put the fuses there is a black mini ninja doll on the desk[/sp]
Mines still hasn't changed.

So if I'm looking for a Hitman experience, but don't want to deal with the disguise problems listed above, what difficulty should I play it on?
purist mode is pissing me off it is literally impossible to do anything involving disguises
I'm stuck at the fucking cannabis mission. Why? I think it's due to a fucking bug. I went through the entire fucking area full stealth. COULDN'T USE THE ELEVATOR. Went in guns fucking blazing. COULDN'T USE THE ELEVATOR. Then repeat the same as above again where I could use the elevator, and I did the same exact fucking steps, but the times where I could use the elevator I got killed. And when the fuck is the "Evade the cops" objective supposed to come? 99% of the time it came at the fucking elevator, but for the first fucking time on my like 30-40th retry it came at the beginning of the level. I'll keep trying, but not sure if it's a bug or what the heck is going on.
So this game is worth 44 dollars? I mean I'm really tempted just from the ridiculous pre-order bonuses, but man, I want it
So this game is worth 44 dollars? I mean I'm really tempted just from the ridiculous pre-order bonuses, but man, I want it
It's only $29.25 for the Professional Edition on GMG, totally worth it.
