I found that room by accident when I was trying to get into the office.
I didn't want to do the [sp]shooting range contest[/sp] so I tried to find another way to do it. Lo and behold, two nice guns to be found.
Am I the only one who went through the hotel in the third game guns blazing?
The last mission in Contracts? I actually snuck out of the hotel in that one. It took a few tries but it's perfectly possible.
The only times I've had to resort to gunplay upto now was in the hotel (faked arrest, shot an awkward guard then killed the one I was holding) and in the strip club because the [sp]disco ball didn't kill him for some reason[/sp], so I just walked into the crowd, shot him while he was behind the bar and left.
So yeah got up to the level after the Hotel so far. I like the game but have the same complaints as everybody else. Disguises and trespassing are main issues. The second you walk into a trespassing area, the meter shoots up almost instantly and you don't have time to get out, you should get a bit longer or be asked to leave before your score is deducted. And as for disguises, like somebody else said, if the character is only looking at the back of your head it shouldn't increase the meter. I think other people recognizing you is good and makes sense but the visibility issues need to be fixed.
That is some funny reaction, everybody. I think, probably, they will end up banning me from the leaderboards. Which I don't mind, and I wouldn't care if they banned everyone from the leaderboards who uses it. That being said, I only did it to unlock everything and I couldn't care less about my position on the leaderboards. EDIT: Also, try to consider that any trainer would impact your leaderboard score. Even god mode, infinite ammo, anything that'd give you an advantage... nobody is going to stop making trainers.
'To unlock everything' is a shit excuse, the game hasn't even been out for two or three days. And adding a option to cheat the leaderboards is a dick thing to do, part of the fun was to figure out how you could get the highest score. And that is now falling apart thanks to you, dickface.
The last mission in Contracts? I actually snuck out of the hotel in that one. It took a few tries but it's perfectly possible.
No I mean Traditions of the Trade.
I watched a full walkthrough, skipping most of the gameplay only to see the cutscenes and watch the story. Now I only played Blood Money and as you all now story in that one comes into play in the last two missions. My problem with this new story is it feels like it takes itself too seriously. It uses characters with the over the top style of BM, so I can only laugh at some of their lines and actions. Plus they somehow manage to stay alive for most of the game. What I'm trying to say is that the antagonists in this game are laughable. Which is a shame because this feels like the first Hitman game where the antagonists play bigger role.
I love the freedom in this game. Being allowed to kill whoever, whenever, as creatively as you can, makes for a fun time. I remember on the gun shop level, I got bored of playing like I should. So I went and grabbed a metal pipe, smacked someone across the face with it, and ran off into the vent. I just repeated that until everyone was dead. I'm a sadistic bastard.
What in God's name was so special about Blood Money? Up to this point I still don't get it.
*Snip * Nevermind
What in God's name was so special about Blood Money? Up to this point I still don't get it.
More free roam, a lot of fun ways to kill your target, disguises worked, and all the missions had contracts. I like absolution, but I would have enjoyed more levels like Chinatown where not everyone is constantly looking for you and you can roam freely looking for fun ways to take out the target. To me, this game has way too many "get from point A to point B undetected" missions rather than actual hitman missions.
So I finished it... There's some nice levels, at least, but they all feel like areas of a bigger, better Blood Money map and they're pretty much ruined by having to go through several shitty corridor levels to reach them. (The old mill/cliff/caves leading up to the Dexter Industries lobby area comes to mind... Which, funnily enough, is one of the few places where a disguise works like they did in the old games.) Oh and every level with the fucking Agency just sucked. Holy shit. When they [sp]blow shit up while you're in jail[/sp] I just gave up and gunned my way through every level afterwards with the exception of Blackwater Tower, which was fairly decent. Blackwater Tower, Shaving Lenny and Death Factory were probably the only truly decent levels, I think.
So anyone who can give me a clue on how to get through at a certain point? [sp]Just got passed the first part of the mission where you have to kill the first three members of Lenny's gang. Suit only. Got to the second part now, and I can't do shit without getting spotted. Do I have to return to last part and get a disguise?[/sp]
I found it so fun to just pull out duel silverballers and walk into the middle of them all and point shoot everyone.
is there any point to running around on top of the gun range besides masochism/suicide
is this game worth the 50?

[sp] go forward and sneak up to the gas pump, wreck it and wait for the guy to light his cigarette go "up" or left, find the second guy and trigger his telephone conversation, go to the other side of the map and find the stairs leading down to a ventilation (bring a throwable object before this, i don't know if there's any inside), climb inside and wait for the guy who was speaking over the phone. wait for them to look at the guns and then grab the note on the table, watch him get killed go back through the ventilation and wait for the third guy, throw the object at the bottom of the stair and hide in the dumpster, wait for him to come down and then kill him. Hm, I actually got an idea now. I can try throwing the bottle behind the cops instead of in front of them, that could perhaps make them move. If not, then I'm out of ideas.
is this game worth the 50?
the open world missions + contracts are def. worth the price the more story-based ones are fun in a different way
oh [sp]isn't the guy who kidnapped birdie lenny?[/sp] i'm awful at names
oh [sp]isn't the guy who kidnapped birdie lenny?[/sp] i'm awful at names
that would be [sp]wade[/sp]
oh [sp]isn't the guy who kidnapped birdie lenny?[/sp] i'm awful at names
[sp]Lenny =Wimpy guy who gets called "limp dick"[/sp] [sp]Wade = Crazy redneck who calls lenny "limp dick" and attacked the orphanage[/sp]
I feel terrible for doing this, but I'm just going to go guns blazing on this orphanage level. Its too much.
I feel terrible for doing this, but I'm just going to go guns blazing on this [sp]orphanage[/sp] level. Its too much.
I actually snuck through that level and i'm godawful at stealth games. The [sp]Gunshop[/sp] and [sp]Dexters lab (hehhehheh)[/sp] were a completely different story.
I feel terrible for doing this, but I'm just going to go guns blazing on this orphanage level. Its too much.
At 1 point I triggered an alarm and I didn't feel like redoing the level again, so I just ended up killing 20 or so guys. Felt good.
Well, I just installed it. Let's see.
what game is the guy who starts the barfight from with the nose bandage
what game is the guy who starts the barfight from with the nose bandage
kane and lynch
I feel terrible for doing this, but I'm just going to go guns blazing on this [sp]orphanage[/sp] level. Its too much.
Yeah I had a hard time going through that with stealth. Not because I couldn't, but because they shot up so many innocent people. Conflict of interest and what not. In the end the only people I ended up killing were [sp]Wade and the men he was with[/sp].
The Silverballer is very un-assassin like in Blood Money. It's cool, but the SLP 40.S is way more "practical".
