Raw mouse input means that no mouse smoothing and acceleration, or OS mouse settings, will interfere with your mouse movements.
Basically, fast and fluid mouse movements.
There is no mouse smoothing or acceleration it seems, at least it doesn't feel like it.
Alright, thanks guys.

Agreed, it doesn't have a ridiculous high minimum mouse sense either. Very few games get mouse controls right these days. Source engine games and this one are the only ones I can think of right now. Why do the other developers add accel or much up other nonsense :(
hey
trying to self investigate into someone having pirated a game is not what we do here
if they don't state they pirate the game, leave well enough alone
So far, I'm very pleased with the game. Other than the disguise system, I'd say it's the best one yet.

First level in Hope is one of my favorites, the bar fight is the best thing ever :v:
I'm going to tell you right now that I've only seen playthroughs of some of the levels. I have not pirated the game.
Most of what I've learned about this game has been through the PC Gamer UK and GameSpot reviews.
I'm open to anything you might wish to clear up about the game, specifically about the points raised in PC Gamer's review.
Ahahaha
PC Gamers review had like 1 valid point which was enemies respawning after activating a checkpoint.
The rest was complete and utter bullshit.

And I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to happen. They'll fix it soon, sure of it
Wasn't even much of a problem for me most of the time anyway, saying I'd already did most if not everything I wanted to do in the area the enemies respawned in.
I find it amazing how after playing the game, i cant relate to the pc gamer review at all, except for the checkpoints bit. Some parts were even straight up lies, where he said all of the assasinations were in cutscenes, and you failed each one to force you into a gunfight.
Alright, here we go.
Face it but this game has 5x more story then Blood Money or any other Hitman game.
You say that like it's a positive attribute. The other games in the series were brilliant despite the simplicity of the storylines. A personal favourite is the storyline of Hitman II, where the entire game is about tracking down a friend who was kidnapped and the repercussions of this act. Trying to rebrand 47 as an anti-hero fighting for justice was the worst possible decision.
Unreal Tournament 3 had five times more story than any of the previous games, but the story sucked so everybody ignored it. But it's a lot more difficult to ignore a whiny teenage girl.
Not to mention, [sp]47 is immediately portrayed as a stone cold killer who assassinates Diana, despite her being your guide for the past four games and who saved your life, for betraying the Agency. And then he turns around and does the same immediately, without hesitation, and becomes completely focused on her original, traitorous objective.[/sp]
AI is decent, nothing wrong with them since they don't really need to be smarter then what they are now
You must be joking. Enemies see in a narrow cone in front of them, lacking any sort of peripheral vision. You can stay undetected as they walk past and visibly look at you if you move behind them before the yellow bar fills. Hiding places lead to completely ridiculous scenarios like NPCs entering a room to find a fresh corpse and a suspicious-looking policeman rocking out on a synth keyboard and find this completely acceptable (true story, video to come if YouTube stops playing up). Several gunshots later they reenter the room to find, what's this, TWO MORE CORPSES BLOOD EVERYWHERE OH GOD but it's cool, because he's got mad synth skills yo.
Hitman has never been famed for it's AI, but the old system worked. All they've done in Absolution is made things easier, and broken it.
if they were the game would be even harder as it already is.
The game is far, far too easy. Even in Purist, 47 takes 9-10 bullets to kill and there are health cabinets literally everywhere. And that's if you're detected, which is unlikely because enemies are predictable and you can see their patrol routes in Instinct vision (for some fucking reason).
Disguise system has been talked over a million times, its a good system but needs a little tweaking
It's not a good system. It's a different system. Granted, the old system made little sense either (NPCs ignoring you as long as you acted the same despite having never seen you before). However, the new system is equally illogical. NPCs ignore you regardless of how you act, as long as your clothes don't match (and if they do you can eat lead you motherfucker).
instinct is replacing the map.
Just no. Lack of Agency resources means no more satellite mapping, that makes sense. I like that bit. Superpower to replace it? No.
I don't know man but i got a feeling you were just looking for bad things to mention about this game.
I've played and enjoyed every Hitman game so far (Silent Assassin rank in every mission in Hitman II and IV), and eagerly pre-ordered this. The first level was a rude awakening and it got worse from there.
I mean what do you want, smash Left mouse button and 47 does some awkward fighting animation or a quicktime event that looks pretty cool and decides how fast the kill is
I do not find either of your suggestions acceptable. Why would a genetically engineered assassin with countless years of experience need to engage policemen in a match of drunken boxing?
As I said above, this is just my take on things, but I consider this a dark descent from the series former grandeur.
Holy fuck every third post is somebody writing a 55 page misinformed minireview about the game
nobody cares, stop, regardless if it's positive or negative, it's fucking annoying and only like 5 people are going to read it, the rest will just scroll past it

Come 'ere, give 47 a kiss.

It was not misinformed. If you had bothered to read it you would have seen this. Also, this thread is for discussion of the game in question, and yes, that includes negative feedback, so I strongly advise you to get the fuck out with your shitty judgements on others opinions.
Prick.

Half of your complaints are dumb because they apply to all Hitman games. The other half are retarded because you ignore how the game actually functions. "The game is too easy even on Purist because you can just abuse instinct", despite instinct being extremely limited on all difficulties and entirely removed on Purist. All you get is a couple of seconds of blending or point shooting.
Ok, you don't like the game, we get it, why are you still here?

And the AI did the exact same stuff in all other Hitman games, Absolution pretty much does not change it at all. Not to mention that if the AI was smarter the game would be impossible
The game is far, far too easy. Even in Purist, 47 takes 9-10 bullets to kill and there are health cabinets literally everywhere. Did you even play the previous games? I'm playing on hard and I could survive being shot for waaaaay longer in Blood Money. And there's only like 1-2 medical cabinets on each level. And I played Blood Money recently, Absolution is actually quite a bit harder in some cases than Blood Money was, the previous games weren't really that difficult, the only difficult parts were figuring things out and even then, you could just quicksave every 5 seconds.
It's not a good system. It's a different system. No they don't ignore you, if you do anything other than just move around, they'll be on your ass either way. And if you're dressed as a guard, of course other guards will recognize you, usually when you work somewhere, you know what your co-workers look like.
Just no. Lack of Agency resources means no more satellite mapping, that makes sense. I like that bit. Superpower to replace it? No.
Except instinct vision is completely optional so that's just a completely invalid complaint.

So the levels opening up and being more sandbox-y is "getting worse"? So you don't want Absolution to be sandbox-y like the previous games then?
I do not find either of your suggestions acceptable. Why would a genetically engineered assassin with countless years of experience need to engage policemen in a match of drunken boxing?
You don't find the awkward "press left mouse button, do awkward animation to knockout enemy" acceptable? So that was also bad in all other Hitman games then? And what the fuck does the second part of that even mean? Yeah, he doesn't need to engage him in boxing, then fucking don't? What the hell are you even trying to say?
Finished the game 19 hours in today
Very fun, the mammoth sized campaign comes with a warm welcome, much better than paying full price for a game and getting a poultry sized campaign only a few hours long
Dishonored was fantastic but FAR too short
I was going to try some contracts but they have a loading screen the length of the entire campaign so I gave up with that
Only real annoyance was when somebody walked right next to my cover and I went to attack but couldn't because I was stuck to the wall still, despite press space
The amount of times I have managed to get stuck, god damnit

Dishonored's campaign length is piss small compared to Absolution.
Though i enjoyed Dishonored a lot and i really hope they will release a second game
fucking loved the [sp]Blood money reference of tosca in the suit store, not to mention the chicken suit[/sp]
There's alot of things that i really miss in this hitman, i liked the idea of simply pulling out a sedative or a poison needle (not saying there isn't a lot of great options) but the whole silence pistol, fiber wire and needles seemed kind of... '47' to me, i also miss the map system, but i understand how instinct would work, fucking fantastic job, definitely re playable
Contracts is pretty good for just jumping into any level with a stupid disguise and just shooting shit up. I just killed all the cops in chinatown with the saint leader's revolver while wearing a bird suit.
Did anyone else get the impression Charlie Chipmunk was from a cut level? Considering there's a Hot Sauce Chef disguise in the tailor's basement and the Ice Cream Truck disguise seems like something they removed from the very first level. Sewer worker one could have been from anywhere though, and the less sewer levels the better, really.
Does Contracts let you change the model itself, or just the disguise you start with? It's just that it'd be easier to make comprehensive plots with it if you weren't always 47, you know what I mean?
Just the disguise, unfortunately.
I think it would have been nice to have been able to change the types of guards or something, too. And there's certain levels which would be nice if it weren't for some stupid thing going on and totally ruining it. Like the entire Operation Sledgehammer chapter. They'd be nice levels if it weren't for the whole... Thing.
I think some degree of modding would be really good for Contracts. Nothing extensive, just allow for importing custom models and maybe some weapon scripts. Then you'd really be able to have some fun with it, even more than you can already.
Did everyone really struggle with the orphanage that much? I thought it was pretty easy.
I have to say, disguises in Absolution are pretty high up on my list of most useless gameplay mechanics of games I've played.

8 hours late but the graphics card isn't good at all, I doubt you'd be able to play it on high, medium maybe but not high or ultra.
