If you sneak to the checkpoint at the donut place in Streets of Hope or whatever, and then die, the fucking game restarts you with the guard you had to take out to get there at the door, there's no way to get past him. Way to go, people who implemented the absolutely shit checkpoint system.

Its infuriating to redo the same part of the level 20 times because a guy instantly recognized you from across the map. Or a guard gets stuck and never budges no matter how much junk you toss past his head. The checkpoint thing is like ps1 era stuff.
Checkpoints suck, but doing a level in one run makes you feel like a badass.
I don't know how I feel about this game. As a whole, it was good. I just..I don't feel comfortable with the story line. I don't like how it was written. It's fucking confusing. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] Disguises piss me the fuck off, though. The reality of a whole police force really knowing if you were actually part of their team out of hundreds is so little, yet you can instantly get caught. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] The story was definitely a lot more abundant compared to Blood Money, which I do enjoy. Absolution also proves a shit ton harder with that disguise bug, so that could be an up.

It is well written, but it just seems out of place and all over the place at times. Disguises are not bugged. They, unfortunately, are working as intended, since the game does inform you that disguises are ineffective against people who you are disguised as. OT: I am restarting the game on purist tomorrow. Might as well taste defeat so many times that I weep with joy when I finally get silent assassin ratings on the missions.
beat it that was a really cool and interesting game. i liked it a lot. i think i'll try blood money I guess but as far as stealth games go i still think mgs is a lot cooler. obviously it's very different, but i think you could squeeze them into the same genre. tactical stealth and shit.

I'm sure there's a bottle or something in the room he's guarding that you can toss out to get him to face away from the door for a bit.
[QUOTE=DaDillsta;38569988]They've said it won't, but I wouldn't hold my breath that it stays exclusive forever.[/QUOTE] I got a sniper challenge disk for xbox when I pre ordered Max Payne 3 I still haven't got round to playing it :\ It was just a sniper target range with no actual hitman stealthing and moving about so I never really bothered But after sniping people in this game and seeing how fucking satisfying it is I'm gonna play it
Are the sniper challenge weapon upgrades suppose to carry over? I got level one on most of them and the only thing that carried over was the slow motion steady aim upgrade.
Hey guys, i just made a contract. 3-0810-825302-SNXX Anyone wanna try it out? I feel kinda proud, its my first, the base score is 270,000 points, and i myself got 390,000 something. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] Compared to other contract scores, how good is that?
I'm having fun so far but some of this shit is infuriating as fuck, I'm playing on Hard. Kill guy inside small room with garrote wire, people in the next room all get alerted and start screaming 5 seconds later. Get spotted constantly all of the sudden, with my back turned.

Garotte is entirely silent and I've done it 3 feet behind another guard and not been noticed, so you should be fine.

If you got caught killing with the garrote wire someone seen you, saying there's virtually 0 noise made from it.

[QUOTE=Mr. Crabsworth;38572755]Got 420,000, damn I hate that guard in front of the house.[/QUOTE] How'd you get 420,000?
If you stand in front of the guard at the house and throw a pipe in the window smashing it (Who for some reason doesn't give a shit, nice guard.) Lynch will walk into the house. Then I went into the vents and killed lynch, seconds later the old dude came in and died, hide them both and made a run for it

I had to use a pipe and a silenced gunshot to get lynch to walk over.
Friend just spoilt the ending for me because he claims [sp]"it was obvious anyway"[/sp]; I was waiting for my new PC to arrive so I could enjoy this game. [sp]He said that Diana faked her own death, dunno if It's true or not, but if it is, what a cunt[/sp]
holy fuck this game is hard. i'm even exploiting the AI like running in a certain spot to lure them there then killing them. i think i've spent a day just trying to get past the first part of the library... god this game would be so much easier if i could play on PC. and if i wasn't as wasted as i am during the holidays... :downs: the only problem i have is that you can't pick your fucking weapon. but then again maybe this game is so hard because i don't have a silenced pistol all the time.
you get them back and keep them later
I eventually said, 'Fuck the Orphange' and shot up the entire place and got the fuses. Fuck it's difficult. Anyone else see it this way? I'm not even joking, my side weapon was the syringe because I'm assuming those gangsters are needle phobic.
Also, whats that song that keeps playing? Its goes like.."something something on your mind, it pays you back i kind," and i think "rathum danum" [sp]you know, the credits song[/sp] [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] The contract mode would benefit infinitely from some sort of map creator.

I was carefully studying guard behaviour and found a gap to go through but everytime I tried I got caught. Then I realized that a scripted event was getting me caught each time, there are quite a few in that level actually...

Then I realized that a scripted event was getting me caught each time, there are quite a few in that level actually...[/QUOTE] There were few indeed. I've spent good 2+ hours on it (Expert, 47 suit only, Can't be spotted, No killing beside subduing when really need to). After a while, I've managed to get flawless route to the last doors without much of a hassle on the way that lasts maybe 2-3 minutes, but ... that guard in the "last" doorway... FUCK ME and MY LIFE! How unmatched his sight and animations were! You literally saw him looking the other way, but nooo.... he spotted you with his arsehole ! God, WHY! Anyway, satan had good mood back then and he let me pass.... how joyful I was. Until I ran into train station level... Whoever thought it out... I would punch him reaaaaally hard. It should be renamed to "Keep turning 360 degrees 24/7".
Trainstation level was annoying as shit. Especially getting down the steps onto platform B.
I found it pretty easy, the hardest part was literally platform B because I didn't know at first that the train was gonna stop early, and then lost my crowd and almost my disguise, but managed to catch the next train

And the only reason I had to kill him is because he saw a pool of blood, not like the place is literally covered in blood or anything.
One of the reasons I miss Blood Money. [img]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/99594/hitmanlapdance.gif[/img] 47 is definitely the stealth master.
Oh my god the fuse in the pharmaceutical room WHY
