Yay I see Dogmeat in one of those screenshots. I'm disappointed that it looks exactly the same though, I was at least hoping for some improvements to the NPC facial features and stuff, but hey, it's still pretty early in development, so there's still time for improvement.
Fallout 3 was lots of fun and I have probably spent around 60, maybe 70 hours into it, despite it many flaws. Uninteresting dialogue, somewhat clunky aiming (aiming freely felt so different from every other FPS), as well as the environment became rather green and repetitive after a while. Hopefully New Vegas will fix a lot of the problems, while improving/keeping the things that made Fallout 3 so fun. It's good to see that Las Vegas isn't a shit hole, so we get some vegetation and sunny skies. Really looking forward to it, although the large amount of recycled models and textures I am seeing in these scans is rather frightening. I don't really want to see another leather armour identical to the one in FO3, or the exact same dog.
:bandwagon:
NO. STOP IT. IT WAS EASIER TO DEAL WITH STALKER THAN THAT SHIT. /caps
I thought there would be multiple character choices.. Dang it.
:bandwagon:
Yes because if we have an opinion that many people happen to share it's a bandwagon. [editline]04:23PM[/editline]
I thought there would be multiple character choices.. Dang it.
There are that's just one of them.
Looks like it's the same engine as Fallout 3. I really hope they make it so the third person animations aren't so goddamn horrible and also optimize it better.
:barf: This game just got horrible. [editline]05:27PM[/editline] Seriously. The Gamebyro engine is horrible.
Has the Gamebryo engine even been updated between Oblivion and Fallout 3?
You are not from a vault, but someone from a vault gives you a pip-boy.
Pipboys didn't come from the vaults.
Has the Gamebryo engine even been updated between Oblivion and Fallout 3?
HDR used to be impossible with AA enabled, that got fix'd...
That's Project V13, the MMO thing which I can't see doing too well myself. Presuming that it's not cancelled.
Interplay said if they are not allowed to use the Fallout name and other trademarks they will just change the name of the MMO and get rid of the Fallout stuff.
Well HOT DAMN. At least I know I can run it. Kinda. :ahaw:
This game looks pretty cool, I didn't like Fallout 3 too much but this looks somewhat better, I'm sure they're more experied after Fallout 3.
I hope they don't fuck it up like Fallout 3.
I hope they don't fuck it up like Fallout 3.
What? Fallout 3 was perfect in almost everything.
I hope they don't fuck it up like Fallout 3.
How was Fallout 3 fucked up?
What? Fallout 3 was perfect in almost everything.
If by perfect you mean average, then yeah. I'm not saying it wasn't fun though.
It was decent, but it wasn't really a fallout game.
Fallout: New Vegas will use Games for Windows Live for its Windows PC release. FUCCCCCCCCCCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUU
GFWL is awesome, what are you on about? You can use the same account you use for Xbox live and everything.
GFWL is awesome, what are you on about? Not to mention some people have random game crashes/problems with GFWL when they didn't even want to use it in the first place. It should be optional... When I install a game I want to play it, not piss about with accounts and stupid shit I don't care about like "achievements" and "my profile!" especially when i'm playing single player, what a fucking joke.
And the fact that it makes a button unrebindable, althoug probably not one too many people use (but I do)

Stop complaining and deal with it.
I don't get why all the Fallout 3 haters are worthshipping New Vegas, it has been my impression from day one that it is comparable to a standalone expansion of FO3. Sure it's made by some of the original creators and with new/tweaked gameplay mechanics, but it's still the gamebryo engine which you all hate and will probably play much like FO3. [editline]07:09PM[/editline] In FO3 you weren't required to log into GFWL to play so hopefully New Vegas is the same.
Stop complaining and deal with it.
It is more of a hassle than it is, there's no need for it at all, so no, i won't deal with that pile of shit - if I have to I'll create a fake xlive.dll just to stop it from loading in my games which I have done before. You've probably noticed if you've seen my latest posts, but I really hate being walked on by corporations and games for windows live is another pile of shit that they are forcing down people's fucking throats just so they can get a few extra pennies in their wallets. It isn't hard for them to make it optional, the people who get to the top of the chain and enforce stuff like GFWL are always selfish dickbags that need a good punch in the fucking face to see some common sense for once. If I ever got rich one day I'd use a vast sum of my money to do what I could to stop companies like EA and Microsoft fucking people over constantly just for a bit of extra money, greedy bastards.

Also you are acting like they don't deserve the money they earn. See that last word there? "Earn" Yeah. They earned their money, they worked their way to where they are. If they didn't get any money then you wouldn't be getting any more games, the "extra money" isn't going to waste. (Wherever this "extra" is coming from, I don't fucking know, a game costs a certain amount, a person pays that amount, and that is it, I don't see what you are talking about "extra" for.) You act as if the companies who make games, or pay for games to be made are evil for getting money. That is absolutely ridiculous for you to think that they don't need money. If they didn't have money, YOU wouldn't have any games. I say grow the hell up and stop complaining about this trivial shit. Sit back and look at what you are complaining about, how immature you are acting over an inconvenience that will last you mere minutes. (Your little fake xlive.dll shit would probably take longer to deal with than typing in a username and password and clicking the checkbox labeled "Automatically log in" the first time you launch the game. You saying that you won't deal with it, and then proceeding to say that you WILL deal with it is rather funny though.) All it is is another step in the installation process of the game. You do it once and it is done. [editline]12:10PM[/editline] I did look through your post history because you mentioned it in your post, and it seems like all you are capable of doing is bitching and moaning about every single thing in existence. Lighten the fuck up dude, enjoy life.
What? Fallout 3 was perfect in almost everything.
your kidding right?
GFWL is awesome, what are you on about? You can use the same account you use for Xbox live and everything.
That feature is a double edged sword. Oh hey it tracks achievements on my Live account neat! Oh hey my dickweed friends think it's funny to spam invites to a Live party chat that I can't join. Anyway I have more problems with it than benefits but there's really no way to kind of just get around it so whatever, I can suck it up and use it, but I figured that developers realized at this point that most people don't want this shit. [editline]08:09PM[/editline]
your kidding right?
Fallout 3 was sooo good, easily the best Fallout in the entire series. In fact it's probably the best RPG this gen. No, better yet, it's the best RPG ever. Everything about it is flawless.
What? Fallout 3 was perfect in almost everything.
I didn't like how you could like VATS all the time... and the game failed at the whole FPS part.
