• VAC banned by a Valve employee!
Well.. OP is right, doesn't matter he was cheating or not, the problem is: valve banned someone for exploiting, VAC is supposed to be automatic and human-proof, it's supposed to operate without errors, entirely on it's own, the fact someone banned him for exploiting is a huge abuse. The right thing to do is fix the loophole, not ban the user for exploiting a poorly-writen system. VAC is supposed to ban whoever modifies the engine with cheat injecting DLL's, if we follow the same logic to what happened with the OP, millions should be banned for building multiple sentries "just because they were cheating and should deal with it", and that doesn't make any sense. tl;dr: Valve made a mistake, OP should be unbanned. [editline]02:42AM[/editline] Cheat =/= Exploit
It only counts as an exploit if it's a bug with the vanilla game, in this case he was a SourceMod exploit, so they can consider it a cheat all they want. [editline]09:56AM[/editline]
I covered this argument before. Installing a Server Administration plugin on your CLIENT to access cvars intentionally BLOCKED by Valve for CLIENTS due to the potential for CHEATING DOES NOT EQUAL exploiting a programmer's mistake in handling arguments to one of the internal game's commands, which required no modification to the game in any way to accomplish.
And this is why I've been telling people not to use the viewmodeloverride for L4D2.
I am probably gonna get banned for this but you are the fucking dumbest idiot I have ever seen! Firstly downloading a hack is a third party program that is supposed to give you an advantage! Source mods is a fucking plugin that you download that allows you to install other plugins!! You cannot use the source mod exploit on a server without it because it won't have source mod!!!!! For fuck sakes you are ignorant, It is not VIOLATION OF EULA and he did not deserve this treatment because IT WASN'T A HACK THAT GIVES AN ADVANTAGE. It was an exploit that a coder of a PLUGIN didn't patch so therefore ONLY A SERVER ADMIN SHOULD COMMIT A BAN for BUG ABUSE. Valve cannot patch it because they don't need to or have rights to it and it is not their problem!!!! GET YOUR FUCKING FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU POST The employee or moderator was 1. No questioning or proof that this was a hack 2. Interfering with automated anti cheat system
Sorry sir the only idiot here is you if you think using Sourcemod is not the same as using a speedhack. You can use the Sourcemod thing on any server, it does not use the server side sourcemod at all to speed up your player but is used client side, same as a hack. Ive been using this Sourcemod thing for a while and it loads clientside. Ive used it on tons of servers, even those that dont have Sourcemod installed. Launch game put plugin_load addons/metamod/bin/server.dll in console. That right there is pretty much cheating, once you have this loaded its setup Sourcemod client side letting you use certain cheats like timescale and wireframe.
Well, if VAC is supposed to be automated, shouldn't it include a log of what modified files the OP was using? It should basically list the direct evidence of the modified files. A manual ban by a VAC Employee wouldn't have any evidence listed in it, so it can only be regarded as circumstantial evidence.
You were using the speedhacking exploit

Speedhacking exploit

Speedhacking

exploit
You deserved it.
Shut the fuck up. You're abusing an exploit in a external plugin (SourceMod), which isn't official, but Valve made it so VACBan doesn't ban it's use. That gave you an unfair advantage, as are cheats doing, this exploit isn't hardcoded into hl2.exe or any other Valve Files, it's in an external program. You agreed to the EULA, and accepted not to Cheat or Hack, or anything that would piss of other players by giving you an unfair advantage. Infinite building was hardcoded in TF2, devs knew it, and if for a reason or another you'd have been banned, you would be unbanned, because you were using a bug created by themselves. There is a difference between "Forcing a game to use YOUR server.dll on others servers by doing a pretty obscure manipulation (Yes, I know how it works, but 99.9% of the TF2 players don't.)" and "just typing something in the console that nearly everybody knows because it's been told on a fuckkload of forums and people are spamming how to do it everywhere". You did so, you got caught, you got banned. Don't get caught next time. You see, people like you are fucking exasperating and yet needed, because if people like you wouldn't come and cry to the forums, the others exploiters would continue to do so. You deserved this ban. And don't fucking use the "What if a server owner gave me noclip". What if someone hacked your account and cheated on it ? What if you had a trojan that attacked Valve's master server, and you'd have been detected ? What if an atomic bomb exploded 200m from me, would I still be playing ? Don't fucking base on hypothesis, base yourself on facts. The fact is that you got banned, you deserved it, Valve had the right to do it, because VAC doesn't detects this kind of things. SM allows great mods such as RMF, PropHunt or others. But of course, there's always idiots like you to use it to fuck up other players shit. Now shut the hell up and go cry in the corner of a dark room. And don't rebuy tf2 please. (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - Jimbomcb))
I'm still terrified on how a valve employee can VAC ban you without any evidence and say he is right because he's a developer and tell you to stfu.

itt butthurts try to falsely justify some guys banning just because "he cheated" [editline]02:22PM[/editline] but with the recent EULA shit and whatnot being posted, it seems that accounts can be terminated at any time if a Valve employee wishes to terminate it. [editline]02:22PM[/editline] but still, his ban shouldn't be justified by you guys just because "HURRDERF UNGGH he wuz CHEATING fuckin cheeter no lifin scum cant even play the gAME!!!"
You violated the Steam user agreement, and this is Valve's way of dealing with it. Be glad your account wasn't shut down (I don't care that its more or less useless now).
Even if my server wasn't VAC secure, the employee in question did a manual VAC ban, thus making the point moot.
Your logic has failed. The server he was playing on is VAC-secured, and in all situations, it's extremely safe to assume that employees will never VAC ban people for actions in a none-VAC server. If you put VAC on your server, Valve is well within it's rights to control who bypasses VAC and other VAC-related issues.
OP is fail
Well well well, nine pages of VAC discussion.
:cawg:
You broke the SSA, which basically makes you fair game for getting VAC banned or anything in the like.
Whole thread is retarded. OP is retarded as fuck. You cheated, as in the terms, it was unfair. Stop fucking bickering and get a new steam account, or get off steam. Makes the world better.
I don't know why people are so fucking TERRIFIED on how Valve employees can manually VAC Ban you... You all do realise that if none of you cheat, you have absolutely nothing to worry about right? Unless... :v:
This.
I'm still terrified on how a valve employee can VAC ban you without any evidence and say he is right because he's a developer and tell you to stfu.
The Valve employee caught him red handed in the act. You don't get much more solid evidence than that. Its like a cop watching a guy pick somebody's pocket, and arresting him on the spot for it.
I just realized something. I don't remember if it was Jag or his defenders that keep arguing it but... They keep saying that the Valve employee VAC banning Jag went against the admin's rights but Jag himself states that the admin asked the Valve employee to ban him after people had complained about it.
If it's VAC secure server they still have the right
Tip: Don't cheat.
If it's VAC secure server they still have the right
Actually, if you think about it, valve employees aren't allowed to add bans to the ban list. aka admin abuse
Actually, if you think about it, valve employees aren't allowed to add bans to the ban list. aka admin abuse
Are we really calling "admeen aboose" now? Steam isn't some Garrysmod DarkRP server. It's serious business that people pay for and try to enjoy. Not to mention, it's impossible to be classified as abuse because otherwise, Valve wouldn't have given the power to employees. Of course it was meant to be used on bypassers such as the OP.
I should point this out: I've been playing VAC protected games and following it since the original VAC, and I can tell you without a doubt, this being confirmed countless times by volunteer moderators and Valve employees, that Valve employees can not instigate bans, nor can they flag accounts. This has been confirmed in the past by Robin Walker and various other Valve employees via the Steam forums, that there is literally no way for a Valve Employee to flag a player or ban them. They've said that VAC does not feature any sort of mechanic that would even allow an employee to manually add someone into the database. From my understanding this is partially so there can be no conspiracies of corrupt employees, but Robin has said there is no reason an employee should be able to automatically add someone when the automated system is much more precise.

The only thing valve can do to your account is disabling it. OP = person who used speedhacks and won't admit to it!
as I said earlier, Someone cheats/exploits/hacks, someone gets caught, someone wants others to pay for his new games, and now someone complains because not everyone believes him
OP, can you get any of this through that thick skull of yours? You used a speedhack exploit merely for the purpose of making other people rage. You even admitted to this. Multiple times! If I remember correctly, there is a paragraph in the EULA that says anything that ruins other people's fun is against the legal document that you had to accept in order to have steam. So, it doesn't matter if you were hacking, exploiting, or whatever. You were ruining other users' fun, so you broke the rules. Ban was justified. Quit trying to justify your opinion that your ban was wrong, quit butthurting, and grow the hell up.
