It's not very good in it's current state, but it sure as heck plays nothing like BC2 or MW2. It's much faster pace than BC2, but you can't run and gun like you can in MW2.

I prefer Medal Of Honor becuase those games usually have good single player.
Because boycotting a game is absolutely pointless unless a very large amount of people do.
The OP jumped the gun by making this thread. Lets not be too hard on him. Battlefield and Medal of Honor are nothing alike. Medal of Honor is meant to be much more like Call of Duty. Battlefield is meant to have a much larger scale feel to it while Modern Warfare and Medal of Honor are meant to be much more Spec-Ops/Awesome badass feel. Also it's not a "Boycott" if you think a game is rushed out. It's just called "not buying a game because you think it's going to suck". This "boycott" trend is stupid.
Those little exp things that pop up in MoH annoy me. They look similar to the xp notifiers you see in those shitty free to play korean rip off FPSs.
I really really enjoy the MP in MoH. It was a bit boring but then it really picked up, I love the teamwork and it's just a lot of fun. I can't stand MW2 though. and Bad Company is alright.
I don't think I can handle any more Modern Warfare. I'm probably going to try to find a good WW2 game next.
That's another thing I wanted to bring up. With all these modern war games, who cares if they're realistic or not. It's a game. Game's are fun, not realistic. If you want the real thing, it's simple you don't need good hardware or anything. Just join the military.
Hurr durr just join the military! There is always some moron that posts this when someone tries to discuss tactical shooters. It's people like this that killed off the age of thinking man's shooters. The old Rainbow Six games. The first Ghost Recon. The SWAT series. Now we're stuck with a bunch of watered down action oriented bullshit because of people like this.

My friend didn't like Just Cause 2 because it was to unrealistic for him. "Go get a fucking life buddy." Is what I wanted to say to him. Just Cause 2 is the greatest game of its genre in a while. Games aren't for realism as some other guy said, and if they were, they would be no fun. [editline]12:42AM[/editline] BTW is a new SWAT game coming out? SWAT 4 was excellent.
The multiplayer looks so similar though..
Because the multiplayer is being produced by DICE and the DICE engine while the singleplayer is a completely different engine.
"Go get a fucking life buddy." Is what I wanted to say to him. You should go away and think about what you just said until you become less of a one-dimensional sheep and more of a human. Until then, buddy, I don't want your face around here."
and you wonder why you have no friends
Because the multiplayer is being produced by DICE and the FROSTBITE engine while the singleplayer is Unreal Engine 3.
Fixed. :eng101:
Hey, how do you bold?
Hey, how do you bold?
Text goes here
Ninja'd means someone gets to the point before you right? Oh, and how do you do the black out letters thing.
[sp]That's pretty cool. Should I make a thread about JoshU2Uber?[/sp] Also, another point, if they wanted to release a better single player why didn't they just make an update for Bc2? I mean.. it was only released a few months ago. Or just moar money.
I see the new MOH as BC2 combined with MW2 only it just got the good aspects of MW2 and filtered out the shit.
Wait, so Medal of Honor multiplayer is Frostbite and singleplayer is Unreal Engine 3? Seems like they just strapped multiplayer on and called it a full priced game now that I think about it. There is a reason why the singleplayer is supervised by the Army.
I see the new MOH as BC2 combined with MW2 only it just got the good aspects of MW2 and filtered out the shit.
That's what I'm saying. It's Bc2 with a Mw2 scope, that's the only difference I've seen in gameplay. Just for money, I'm guessing. So anyone who's played beta tell me what's different.

Cover is very important, perhaps too much so, since it makes camping a little too effective.
Those little exp things that pop up in MoH annoy me. I'm fucking sick off Modern Warfare, and I'm even sicker of RPG elements (XP, levels) in games where they make no sense.

Hell, even Modnation Racers has XP and Levels and its a racing game.
Just got done playing the beta, There are too many glitches and bugs for example I managed to get 37-0 because I glitched to a spot behind the attackers.
I agree, the XP and levels are getting way out of hand. Hell, even Modnation Racers has XP and Levels and its a racing game.
XP and levels are nice since they're something to target for though
Just got done playing the beta, There are too many glitches and bugs for example I managed to get 37-0 because I glitched to a spot behind the attackers.
Ok, that does sound fun.
I've seen gameplay from Medal of Honor and the weapons and the HUD don't show anything special or different from Bad Company 2. What's so special about Medal of Honor? DICE is making a new game so early, yeah it's a different series, but why aren't people boycotting this game, like the Left 4 Dead 2 boycott? Maybe it's because valve is closer to their players?
DICE is only making the multiplayer. Which saddens me because I disliked their lack of creativity when designing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 maps. They weren't bad. But they felt like they were made with the Farcry 2 map maker. The maps didn't have any cool things like canals, tunnels, rooftop jumping ghettos like you had in the campaign. They just placed pre built structures on the terrain in the multiplayer maps. They didn't create totally unique maps like nearly every Halo map is.
