October 12th release date and it's gfwl title
it's gfwl title
Why am I not surprised that people still cannot distinguish the difference between Games for Windows and Games for Windows Live?
It's being published by Bethesda, it will probably be bad. Look at Brink, Fallout New Vegas, and Wet.
Fallout New Vegas Was great
That video made me think of Hl2 leak. Hl2: Steampunk!
Hopefully the first person visuals will have nice headbob effects like Mirror's Edge.
Why am I not surprised that people still cannot distinguish the difference between Games for Windows and Games for Windows Live?
It is a one word difference but people should have learned by now honestly
That video made me think of Hl2 leak. Hl2: Steampunk!
Hopefully this thread may be revived with some actual discussion of the game rather than how many games this is a ripoff of. Or the fact that this is being published and not developed by Bethesda.
Why am I not surprised that people still cannot distinguish the difference between Games for Windows and Games for Windows Live?
Please explain, i prefer steam and dont give a f* about microsoft...what is the difference between GFW and GFWL?
Games For Windows
is simply just a certification tag in which publishers can use on their games which meet Microsoft's qualifications. I.e. It can be played on Windows, etc.
Games For Windows Live
is their DRM / Digital Distribution / Social Media Service
Please explain, i prefer steam and dont give a f* about microsoft...what is the difference between GFW and GFWL?
Firstly you're an imbecile, and you can swear here. Fuck fuck fuck fuck. See? Anyway, Games for Windows (GFW) is just the certification that the game is Windows compatible and MS have endorsed it. Games for Windows Live (GFWL) is the XBox Live-esque system integrated into the game to provide scoreboards, achievements and online profiles. [editline]10th May 2012[/editline] You don't have to give a fuck about MS to know this shit.
-late-
Hopefully this thread may be revived with some actual discussion of the game rather than how many games this is a ripoff of. Or the fact that this is being published and not developed by Bethesda.
Well, it's being developed by Arkane Studios, whom i would say have gotten quite a reputation for making games with really awesome concepts and ideas, which then get butchered completely by countless bugs and general clunkyness.
here is some info of the game, sorry if it's late.

Well Q2 is almost over so my prediction that it is not coming out in Q2 seems to be true for the most part. Surprise. [editline]10th May 2012[/editline] Oh they have an official release date now. I didn't know. Q3 it is, I still have a hunch it'll be delayed until 2013 though.

I'm not going to lie, love the feel the trailer gives. The art style is unique, reminds me of Bioshock, TF2, and Fable. Everything has a very solid feeling, especially the hair, which in turn really compliments and contradicts the extremely realistic design and textures given to the architecture.
This game is looking really good, I like the C17-feel it has.
Wow, a young girl singing a normally cheery song in an eerie, melancholy manner. Never heard that one before. Still, this looks absolutely incredible.
Steampunk assassination game is pretty much the ultimate combination of words. The art style looks really similar to Bioshock, not that that's a bad thing in the slightest. Also that combination of people working on it is so epic this pretty much has to be a good game or else something has gone hideously wrong.
I need to know who sings that song, it scares the shit out of me..
I need to know who sings that song, it scares the shit out of me..
Not the same singer, but I don't recognize all the words to the trailer video. I think they changed it to fit more with the game or something. That said, it's fucking haunting and it owns.

YES [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Is it going to be on PC? I've only heard info about xbox afaik.
Yeah, they're releasing for PC, PS3 & Xbox 360.
Day 1 buy.
That gameplay made those Walker things look piss-weak. Why have something so cool be blown up constantly?
That gameplay made those Walker things look piss-weak. Why have something so cool be blown up constantly?
Something tells me they were playing in late stages of the game. I'm sure they will be a force to be reckoned with for a while in the game.
Man I can't wait for this game
Day 1 buy.
more like day-1 pre-order
