I think they think you're the killer. However, based on what we've seen of them so far, I really don't think they care one way or another. They've just been told who to shoot at and they're (probably) loving it.
That's like saying bank guards or police would like getting into gunfights. Course there's the odd adrenaline junkie, but most people generally don't like the prospect of getting killed.

Ooh nice, you can pre-order the game for 30€ on vpd.fi tomorrow if you order it between 1800 and 2100 (GMT+2).

I doubt they enjoy the idea that they might die, but then again, given the videos we've seen I'm not sure that prospect even enters their minds. They don't seem to take Corvo seriously as a threat. That and it looks like they are well aware of their positions of power and do abuse them to all hell.

Also the fact that until now no one has exerted their powers so publicly like Corvo.
Yeah but getting lost is different than having a relatively difficult time finding something. Not to mention it's frustrating to the player. Guess I read your post wrong or it was worded weird. :v:
The amount of times I'd been given a quest in WoW and it simply said 'lol go over there and something will happen' only to have to mill around for 20-30 minutes before finding a mob or tagging a marker was frustrating as all hell.

Yeah no.
Julien: People would just walk around. They didn’t know what to do. They didn’t even go upstairs because a guard told them they couldn’t. They’d say “Okay, I can’t go upstairs.” They wouldn’t do anything. Probably just idiot testers.
My response to that would've been to shoot the guard in the face. No mother fucker tells me what stairs I can't use.
Just as an alert, Dishonored is now available for pre-loading. I didn't see a Steam pop-up about it, I just noticed that "Dishonored Pre-Purchase" became "Dishonored" with a pre-load button. So, there you go.
i work retail and the dishonored trailer has been added to our TV trailers/previews dude, that game has the WORST commercial I've ever seen. the screeching oh god the screeching
I've always loved New IPs because of how different the lore usually is from most games. dishonored seems to pull this off really well. and finally, a game that is actually dark.

Probably because I'm in Europe.

Guys are lucky being able to pre-load. I have to wait until GMG gives me my key and that won't be for another 4-5 days.
I pre-ordered a physical copy, and I won't be able to pick it up on the 9th.
I hadn't checked this thread in a long time. DAMN is this coming together, I'm suddenly really excited for it. [editline]ajtyoy[/editline] oh right..
They advertised this game very well.

[sp] I blinked up to the window then waited for the guard to pass, then stealthed all the way to archives and then went full berserk killing everyone with a wind blast and finishing my target with a rat swarm[/sp] [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] [sp] I love how waiting doesn't seem to do anything until you do it twice[/sp]
Yeah, Europeans get it on 12th. It doesn't make much difference for me because I get home exactly on that day, I'll just avoid spoilers. Still, I hope we can preload soon.

I liked the most Blink, then Climb, wait, sneak, go to meeting room and incapacitate.[/sp]

[editline]5th October 2012[/editline] Another game to VPN, heh. [editline]5th October 2012[/editline]
Yeah, Europeans get it on 12th. Preloaded. Oh god all my anticipation. I was at Quakecon where they had a live demo of it, and I don't know HOW many times I came back to that booth. It controls incredibly.
Can any other Australians pre load it? Still got 5 days left until ours releases.
Just wanted to confirm. I also can preload. But I'm surprised the file is only about 5GB.
Saw the distract option, and I'm a little disappointed to be honest. It's like the stupid way bandits in skyrim would be like 'WOW THAT ARROW ALMOST HIT ME IN THE HEAD BETTER GO INVESTIGATE FOR LIKE 2 MINUTES AND THEN SIT DOWN LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED' I just wish that if they investigated and discovered that the thing that made the noise was a weapon (a bolt in this case) that they would do a much more through search and go into an alerted state rather than just an idle patrol route. I mean if an assassin tried that, the gaurds would do a full sweep of the block; not just say 'oh it was just the wind' especially right outside of an important guy's house.
I told myself I'd never buy another game for $60 because I always end up disappointed (except for DX:HR and Starcraft 2) but damnit, I need to play the successor to dark messiah
