That sounds bad. I just hope I can stretch the game out as long as possible.
No, like he was already playing it for a while before making the stream public to more people through his post.
This game is #1 on my absolutely need to have list.
Really? Because I think BS2 is awful. BS1 is miles better not to mention there's DX:HR which beats them both in terms of gameplay by miles.
For me DXHR had no replayability while Bioshock I have played at least ten times.
For me DXHR had no replayability while Bioshock I have played at least ten times.
A linear FPS has more replay-ability to you than a semi open-world RPG with multiple paths?
Really? Because I think BS2 is awful. BS1 is miles better not to mention there's DX:HR which beats them both in terms of gameplay by miles.
BS2's weapons and enemies feel way better and diverse for me, not to mention more gameplay mechanics, etc. DX:HR is pretty good but doesn't really feel the same. That plus the weapons aren't nearly as cool IMHO, most are actual weapons after all. I prefer weapons like in SS, UT, BS, etc. Very good feel to them for me. Mostly depends on the gameplay itself though. BS1 is obviously far more original than BS2 but BS2 because of how much more there just is feels better. I also really enjoyed the whole father thing and good ending in BS2.
Do we have any fellow Bethesda Insiders club member on FP? I hope they release keys for the game before it's release so we have preload. Doesn't really matter either way because we get it for free! :D
I'm hoping the same. Though it would work out equally fine if the keys become available at midnight. I'd just set it to download, wake up 7 hours later and start playing.
No, like he was already playing it for a while before making the stream public to more people through his post.
Oh, my bad. I was just focused on the length of the game since the 4 hour run through that was posted.
Well, it's a bit hard to judge what you will determine "difficult" or not. I went through on Normal with the HUD elements enabled, which I almost needed to do given the time sensitive nature of what I needed to get done prior to this review going out. There are two harder difficulties in the game which will increase the senses of the enemies you encounter, and the fact you can remove all HUD elements if you want. I'd say, even on Normal, it's a great balance of difficulty, depending on your play style. I was able to go stealth when I wanted to and I was able to just beat the crap out of people when I wanted to. I did die quite a few times.
Awesome, the one major worry I had about this game was that it was going to be too easy, and the only challenge would come from "player-set" challenges (Not using certain powers and stuff like that). Haven't been this hyped in a long time.
Ok about this whole "dishonored 4 hour speed run wow so short" topic. I talked about this before, if the game is anything like Dark Messiah, it wont be a big deal. Dark Messiah was pretty short, but for some reason the open endedness of the combat made the game fun pretty much every time I played it, and that was a linear game. The open endedness of this game should increase the replayability by a lot. Every playthrough a new hilarious or awesome moment should happen, and each playthrough you discover new ways to fuck around with the guards through skill and experimentation.
Aww, I was getting all excited thinking I'd be playing this tomorrow during my day off, checked the steam page and realized it opens at 11 PM. That's a damn dirty thing to do. They shouldn't say it becomes playable on the 8th.
Well I can't till tomorrow to see facepunch's opinion. I am very hopeful for this game now.
I hope it will be released tomorrow-tomorrow, because it's Canadian thanksgiving and I will have lots of time to play it
The release schedule is perfect for me because it releases the day after I have to turn in a big project. Any sooner, and I would have had to postpone playing until I finished the paper.
I have a seething hatred for TotalBiscuit.
I've never actually seen anyone say why they hate him :v: I'm pretty neutral(Who the fuck gives a shit about random youtube people), but never really seen anything to justify that hate, even back in the SA days.
I think he's overrated.
Doesn't really add up to seething hatred though, I don't really care if something is overrated or not, let people watch what they wanna watch, not like it hurts you to just ignore a post.

That and the ass-backwards fan following he and other popular youtubers have. [editline]8th October 2012[/editline] In all actuality, I really just hate youtube and most on it as a whole. The community is complete shit. Anyways, back to Dishonored.
Video is private.
Weird I just got done watching it, I think he might be reuploading it because the quality was locked to 480p by accident. Anyways he was pretty insightful about it, but he was fucking terrible at the game. Like really terrible. However, he did paint a pretty good picture of what to expect and it doesn't look like it dissapoints.

Fuck me, why did I have to order from the one digital distributor that hasn't received keys yet? I wonder what GMG did to piss off Bethesda

So from the (finally) released reviews, it appears the game is as fantastic as we were all hoping it would be. Can't fuckin' wait.

After watching some gameplay I'm considering cancelling my pre-order, it looks boring to me and the graphics style is weird, I'm not a fan of water colouring, it looks cheap and cartoony. [editline]8th October 2012[/editline] Basically I don't feel like I can take it serious with the art style.
