hmmmmm I just pre downloaded the game, and I do the steam_appid trick. But I cant find the dishonored folder in my steam folder.

Where are the local save files stored? I was playing the game just fine in offline mode, but when I restarted Steam, all my saves were wiped.

When do i get the pistol? Im at misson 2 at the moment and never got a pistol, only got the crossbow and the knife. wtf do i do now?

Also, just kill enemies, they drop their pistols!?

weird, i always loot all the guards but haven't actually picked up a pistol yet. I'll pay attention to it next time, thanks.

i'm sad that there were really only ~2 open areas with several open pathways. everything after those 2 missions were just going from point a to point b but there was also an optional point c pathway. i wish there was a separate mode where it's just like a contract kill in hitman. no intro cutscene, no story, just an open area with lots of possible ways to complete it and a reset in magic and abilities.

Also want to see another game, which greatly expands on the world, particularly on the outsider, science and magic of the world. and far more open world

The characters and the world just felt so shallow before I realised i could get small piecees of background information with the heart. Then it just felt really lazy that they just decided to have a narrator explain and hint everything to you instead of fitting the information in the actual story.

How do I kill the long strider dudes? I can teleport to them and stab them if I am not detected, but if I am I have no idea how to kill them. Can you even do that in direct combat?

If I kill someone, and let the rats eat the bodies, does that still contribute to the Chaos rating thing?

Its really weird, sometimes when rats kill people you get the kill count at the end of the mission. Really bothers me, was doing a no-kill run.

Throughout the whole game I've maintained a low chaos rating even though I let rats devour almost every city watch guard around. Near the end [sp]when you help Sokolov and Pierro fix the arch pylon I set it to sleep mode and when they activated it I gathered all the unconscious bodies into a pile and unleashed the rat swarm until nothing remained.[/sp] Surprised to see the low chaos rating after that bit.

oh my god, i'm so PISSED I beat the whole game without ever getting spotted once or killing anybody, but it's not until after i beat it that i realized choking people doesn't do anything to your score at all ESSENTIALLY I JUST BEAT THE GAME WITHOUT MAKING ANY PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH ANYBODY EVER how come i don't have an achievement for this, oh my fucking god i feel like the world's biggest idiot [editline]11th October 2012[/editline] also, how does one traverse 30m/get five crossbow kills in one second? I'd like to do these tasks but there's seriously got to be some weird hyper-linear way of doing it that I'm not seeing

You may need the crossbow reload upgrade to reload fast enough while time is frozen to get all the shots off before time resumes. Am I the only one that actually saved up runes for awesome time manipulation sk1llz?
