The Boyle mission is fun because you can walk around openly and nobody suspects a thing. Also, you can stab your target in the open and bring a little chaos to the perfect lives the nobles think they have.
It would be fun if there were interesting things going on. Right now, there are about 5 characters that have anything important to say and 3 of them are targets. Oblivion's mansion quest was better than this.
i feel like there was a really steep decline in quality over the course of the game. it starts off beautiful and interesting, seems like it's going somewhere, goes nowhere, and turns into an awful mess. they should have focused more on the story because i've never cared so little about the characters in a game.
I'm only on the Golden Cat level and I never cared about the characters. I find the characters I don't interact with to be more interesting and fleshed out via context and journals and stuff. That kind of thing is what keeps me going.

try and line the three boyles up at the wall of light
PUSH THEM ALL IN!!!
scream out "I AM THE MASTER COMMANDER!"
Haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but [sp]the weeper that guards your gear after the assassins capture you in the end is none other then the branded high overseer.[/sp]

Most of what goes on emphasizes the difference between the lives of the lower and upper classes. They party and worry about trivial stuff while in the earlier missions you deal with street gangs and plague-infested backstreets.
for anyone stuck on art dealer's safe:

The ambient weeper noises are really fucking creepy
I was planning on doing everything with minimum chaos, but I also want all runes. Is there no way of getting [sp]Granny Rag's second rune without spreading the plague? :([/sp]
Finished the game with the low chaos ending.
Still dissapointed that the game is really short. (not worth the 50$ if you ask me)
[sp]When you are getting your equipment back is there a difference between picking up the overseer's blade and the assassins blade?[/sp]
I have this game on the XBox, and two achievements are bugged for me. I completed both "Clean Hands: Complete the Game without Killing Anyone" and "Ghost: Complete all missions after the prologue, alerting or killing no one but the key targets", and have the stats to back it up. I went back and checked every single mission, including the prologue, and both "Ghost" and "Didn't Kill Anyone" are checked for every mission. But alas, I completed the game and was awarded neither of the achievements. I didn't kill any of the key targets, and the game knows it, as I have the "Poetic Justice: You neutralized all key targets using indirect means" achievement. So what the fuck is going on? I worked my ass off, redid the prologue twice and the entire goddamn flooded district once just to make sure I got those achievements. I went through the whole game in one go, never pressed anything but "Continue" on the main menu after starting the game initially. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion? Even if it's not likely please share it because this is pissing me off a lot.

[sp]No, but the overseer's blade is way cooler.[/sp]

No idea, but I'm going to save before it and try and see if it makes a difference or do you know for sure it causes chaos?

Nah, it doesn't cause Chaos I think, or then it does and I didn't notice it or something like that
Blink and stab, blink and stab all game

I love the credits music, too bad its exclusive to the game and the OST isn't released yet.

blink and choke*
Not gonna lie, I'm not feeling it. I'm only on the second mission but so far the gameplay's nothing new, powers are unexciting, and the story's doing nothing for me. Believe me I wanted to like it, I mean for fucks sake, City 17's main graphic designer (Which would be obvious if I didn't already know that), inspiration from Bioshock, Deus Ex, Thief, Assassins Creed, and Steampunk (Thought it's really more Dieselpunk if anything), and a fucking sweet clockwork mask. If I didn't want to like it, I wouldn't have BOUGHT a single-player game, I haven't done that in years. But I find myself "putting up with it to get my money's worth" rather than wanting to play it.
Above all though, I think the biggest disappointment is the utter pointlessness in the mask. It looks awesome and was a huge point in their ad campaign, but there's no reason or use for it other than the zoom. Not even the HUD or any powers are incorporated with it. It could've been MUCH more immersive if the HUD was designed to look like it was integrated into the masks' lenses (For example, if health and ammo were to look like ray traces on the lens and rotated away with the lens when you zoom), other than the random scraggly bars and brackets it is now.
it's actually whale punk
[sp]No, but the overseer's blade is way cooler.[/sp]
[sp]Corvo's updated blade is obvious manlier you GIRLYMAN[/sp]
blink and choke*
Yeah, at some point in the first level I decided that I'm just going to kill people and not give a fuck about completion. Most other stealth games I'm completely the opposite (Splinter Cell, Deus Ex). I think lethality in a lot of circumstances feels more in-character, and for some reason I appreciate that

blink, despite its simplicity, is probably one of the best executed powers ever.
I'm still not bored of blinking in front of guards and stabbing them in the face
also this game is fuck awesome. i'm able to do things in this game i would have never, ever been able to do before in any game. not even fuckin close
blink, despite its simplicity, is probably one of the best executed powers ever. there's nothing more fucking awesome than plowing through half the guards, then when it gets to hot blink away. i also think that this is some of the best AI i've ever seen.
and that's hardly even the tip of the iceberg with it. really i have no words to describe how awesome and fun this game is. YOU CAN LITERALLY FEED PEOPLE TO THE FISHES.
i'm continuing my rambo playthrough rambo. killing everything i see quietly. i think this is the first game that truly makes my actions feel badass and visceral. splinter cell, hitman bloodmoney, they all come close but they don't capture it just right. maybe it's the chaos system. maybe it's because the guards don't have eagle vision and behave more realistically than i've ever seen in a game...

stop time
blink
SUPER SPEED
on my third (cheat) run and using cheat engine to basically stop time and clear the room.
Finished it too. It was fun but indeed short. I have no desire to replay it either. I wish you could kick, there were so many times I could've kicked someone off a platform.
Is there a way to adjust Blink's reach? I want to be able to boost very far for fun.
use windblast, it's better than kick.
also if you press crouch while sprinting you do this slide kick thing that basically functions as a kick.

i'm going to buy this game just because you can stir up a giant pile of shit then teleport back up to a rooftop and top off your pile of chaos with a few rat swarms...
and because it's really awesome how easily you can escape combat while there still being something of a knack to it so it's not over powered to just run or blink away. you need to do it right.
playin' through all stealthy like. only killing when i am spotted/need to. pretty fun
Jeeze. [sp] Havelock pretty effectively robbed me of my chance for revenge. Yeah, lemme just go ahead and poison these dudes. I had to settle for throwing their corpses into the lobby for everyone to see [/sp]

physics pls
i almost had a heart attack when the guard began to slip off the other bodies, as im going for a kill-less run
Just got in, played through the first level.
Were this game a fine wine I would be getting a good nose of Brink (character style, movement system) and Assassin's Creed (killmoves, drop assassinations) with a dash of Bioshock (overarching style, alternate history innovations), all wrapped up with a dollop of Zork (dystopia, authority themes, underground resistance, etc). Which is not to say the game lacks its own flavour, I am enjoying it very much, but that it takes the best of other things and wraps them all up into one package.
Like snakebite black.
[sp]I think I got the bad ending ("I would have killed them anyway"), but the outsider's words after didn't reflect on emeily's apparent killing intent, just that she did as best as she could in terrible times, COMEON, at least let her be known as a horrible ruler that killed civilians and so.[/sp]
[sp]Also the part after getting poisoned, I talked to emily where she said she needs to make people be afraid of her and a creepy painting and so, the poison "waves" started and it freaked me out a ton.[/sp]
I saw whale oil flask in a toilet room. Just wondering but does the lore tell us if the oil can be used for "other" things? Toilet is a suspicious place to put oil.
