Everytime I try and keep it quiet I either run out of sleep darts or somebody notices me and I have to slaughter the whole map to survive.
I don't know about you but i think its easy to sneak around everyone, i do occasionally use a sleep dart or two but the maps are greatly designed to maneuver around.
I also like how your character crouches so low to hide under a desk.
Does killing river crusts count as kills if I am playing non-lethally?

No.

Funny, I hardly ever use sleep darts. I just use blink to get behind them and choke them out after studying their patrol patterns for a moment and choosing the perfect time to go in and get 'em.
I use sleep darts when I fuck up and they see me. The combat sleep dart upgrade was the best one I ever took.

I've already finished a quick 9 hour non-lethal playthrough, I might go lethal now. Except I would feel bad because people wouldn't like me.
Kaldwin's Bridge is such a bitch, holy fuck. Maybe I'm just terrible at this game, but still.
Jesus after replaying the first assassination mission after beating the game and going just straight for Campbell it took less then 10 minutes I'm pretty sure. No wonder about that 4 hour stuff from before, it's probably even shorter if you know how to do it perfectly.
There is so much shit in between though. I spent like an hour or so on that one mission just looking around for shit.
I spent 7 hours in the game and I am only on the second mission
The people who said it took them 5 hours to complete this game are either exaggerating or playing it wrong. Took me 12 hours.

I can honestly see a 4 hour run if you know the area and if you play lethally.
A stealth playthrough will take you easily over 10 hours.
HOLY SHIT THIS GAME
I just killed the [sp]lord regent guy[/sp] and I was like, fuck, this is the [sp]end of the game[/sp] then.
And then (Don't click this one) [sp]I saw that orange shit in my cup, and the loyalists poisoned me, jesus christ[/sp]
It's revitalizing. I was like, 'Is that it? Fuck', and then that happens.

Took me 10 with a lethal but not trying to kill everyone style playthrough. I'm on a stealth run now going much more non lethal and exploratory and it's probably going to take about the same length give or take a few hours.

Nope you can do it stealthy, when I did the Campbell mission (after I beta the game) I was detected only once and it was by accident but completely possible, plus I knocked out guards (2 I think) in my way and only killed Campbell. But obviously just rushing it isn't as fun but possible.
I might do a fully lethal run. Seek out all the guards, and procedurally kill them all whilst avoiding detection.
Just to double check. If I choke someone and they are unconcious and they get eaten by rats, do I get chaos for it? or lose ghost status. I choked people in the pantry area, and opened up the pantry :v: and got scared.

It counts as a kill but I don't think it raises chaos. And yeah, you lose the whole "didn't kill anyone" award

It counts as a kill and any kills counted against you increase your chaos, though you need to kill quite a few kills to get to high chaos.
I'm doing an all kill run, that includes pretty much everyone I'm allowed to kill.
Its ridiculously easy, at this point I don't even care when I get spotted, because I can just above people and do drop assassinations to avoid melee combat.
So I've actually heard pretty mixed views on this game so far.
Is it worth it at full price?
depends.
if you really love this type of game then it's worth it. it's up to you to decide if it's worth full price, but personally i don't think it's worth full price. it's just not that huge or expansive of an experience and there's very little reason to play through it again.

If you like Bioshock, Deus Ex, or Dark Messiah you'll probably like this. If you prefer more linear games that present themselves to you then you'll find it to be a bit short, maybe too easy on easy/normal difficulties.
It's the kind of game where tyhe more you put into it the more it gives back.
I'm getting really annoyed at Choke
It seems like half the time I try to use it it just doesn't work and they notice and then I have to reload a save because I'm doing peaceful ghost run

is there much to do besides the main assassinations? From what I understand it isn't open world, which Im okay with, but are there plenty of side objectives and such?
So I just finished the game, a lot of the missions I really tried to stay quiet and hide bodies if I had to but I also wanted to get all of the collectibles and it would take forever to get the collectibles without killing anyone so I think it's impossible or really hard to get all collectibles and not get a chaos ending.
Like someone said before me, I would try to be stealthy but then a ton of people would see me and I'd end up killing everyone. And I only killed 3 of the main people (Pendleton bros and the High Overseer) and did the non-lethal options for everyone else and I still got the bad ending. I don't think it should count against me if I kill weepers or assassins because weepers are hardly human and assassins are hard as fuck to sneak by or make unconscious.
Kind of disappointed at the ending, but the gameplay was very fun.

It would probably be a good idea to wait for it to go on sale. It's plenty fun but I think it's too short to justify a $60 price.
11 hours to completion doing whatever I wanted. Ended pretty abruptly though, quite lame.
I'm sure there will be DLC.
The blink ability is the centerpiece of this game imho.
