Oh my god. I just got a nonlethal kill.
Spoilers for the Dunwall Tower mission below:
[sp]I got the confessions tape from Lord Regent's safe, played it, and eliminated him nonlethally. As I was trying to leave the tower, I saw Lord Regent yelling at two guards. The guards saw me because I was in the open, and the Lord started running. I sprinted past the two guards and chased after Regent (but I guess he can sprint faster than me?). Suddenly everything goes into slow motion and Regent is SHOT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD BY SOMEONE ELSE. I look behind me and THE GUARDS SHOT HIM. At first I was really confused, and then I remembered[/sp]
[sp]I had the Bone Charm on that makes people sometimes miss with guns.[/sp]
And that's how you nonlethally kill people.
Non-scripted deaths still count.
Stuff like the overseers attacking the woman for being a witch in the first real mission don't count.
I still got someone else to do the dirty work for me :v:
I'm below the minimum specs and I can max this game, my fps stays in the 50s.
yeah most of the components in my pc are between 2 and 4 years old and I get ~120fps most of the time, great optimization considering it looks fantastic
Wait, how many different endings are there? I got the high chaos ending but I didn't know there was one in which [sp]Emily dies[/sp]. How does that happen? Does it just depends on how you handle the very end of the game?
I want a sequel like right now.
Or at least some other game that takes place in the Isles. The setting for this game is really good.
Made it through in stealth mode, half of the missions I got through without killing anyone.
Started a new game playing agressively, oh my this is awesome.
During my first playthrough I tried recording a bit of gameplay and this happened moments after I started

There is one low chaos ending and two variations of the high chaos ending, [sp] Emily can either live or die, depending on whether you save her at the very end or not[/sp]

His foot wasn't ready to die.
I don't like that when you kill a weeper it counts as a death.` They're terminally ill zombies. It doesn't count when you kill rats
At the end [sp]I didn't even know Emily could fall as I backstabbed the guy before he even saw me[/sp]
I noticed that some of the scenes change too when you have a high chaos.
Like after one of the missions when [sp]you can overhear a discussion between 3 guards and one of them is sick. If you have high chaos, he will deny his sickness and the other guards brutally murder him, but if you have a low chaos, he accepts his sickness and let's them end his life more peacefully.[/sp]
I saved that guard (not really i threw him into the sea teol)
Just [sp]beat the game on low Chaos, ushered in a golden age. What are the high chaos endings like?[/sp]
Almost done with a run without other powers than blink, without killing and without being seen.

[sp]Emily dies or Emily becomes an evil oppressive empress I believe. I haven't seen them myself but that's what has been said previously in this thread.[/sp]
On hardest difficulty...
It was surprisingly, even disappointingly, easy.
Automerge :(
Just beat low chaos mode too.
Gonna do a speed run on high chaos killing EVERYBODY.

Did that too. Where I took my sweet time on non-lethal (2-3 hours per mission) I just blasted through on lethal. I only stopped running when there was stuff to pick up.
it'd be nice if you do a high chaos run if the game sent in reinforcements in waves to deal with you because it gets kind of lonely after you annihilate everybody on the map

They actually do send reinforcements I believe, unless I forgot about a few guards. Whenever I slaughter a large amount of them and return later there is a patrol of guards investigating the bodies and searching the area.

Well if you skipped anybody at all, and you do raise an alarm, enemies WILL follow you through loading zones if they find you. I've had that happen to me several times.
The game might spawn more guys though, I didn't really notice on my mostly non-lethal playthrough.
Wow, I wish there was a SDK for this game.
But then I'd remember designing missions or new stuff for this game would take a long, long time.
I like how I got the low chaos ending, even though I did have my berzerking moments.
Next time I will play high chaos. Mainly because I want to see how much the streets will swarm with weepers.
I am loving this game. But I find that the double jump and level 2 teleporting abilities make combat too easy. Even on Very Hard, if they pull out a gun, I just space myself and insta-kill after a double jump.

You are alot better than I am.
So I just completed the game without alerting or killing anyone, on highest difficulty without any power other than blink.
Yet somehow it says I've killed someone, even though I'm 100% sure after every mission I got the "Didn't kill anyone" checked. Wtf.

Just checked the missions stats. In every one of them it's checked.

Yeah you definitely aren't forced to not kill anybody at all. I had several moments where I'd get caught but I didn't feel like loading an earlier save, so I just murdered my way through the first couple of guards and then teleported to an unseen above location and just kept stealthing my way through the level, while all the surrounding enemies moved to the new area of interest. I like that you can get caught, but if you're moderately crafty you can work your way out of it and go back to being careful.
i've noticed that the AI don't really have super scripted pathways and sometimes they deviate from their normal walking routes which in turn causes them to find unconscious bodies and shit
it gets so irritating for me because i have to dump bodies MILES away it feels like because if i leave it within like 60 feet of somebody they're going to find it sooner or later. it's like guards go out of their way to check the roof tops for their missing buddies without even consciously knowing that they're missing, so i end up having a pile of unconscious bodies because they will walk half a mile to the other side of the map and never even hold their post.
am i the only one that notices this? it's really strange

Looks like I should've gotten the achievement.

they found bodies so it doesn't count
[editline]13th October 2012[/editline]
just kidding, but it irritates me too since i never got an achievement for it either

Well the thing is they never trigger any alarms because they don't survive long enough. Before they even attempt raising the alarm they try to be heroes and take me on, and then they get eaten by a swarm of rats and heads start rolling :V
