Still curious as to what this is/means.

What does what mean? It means that the guy below the mask has a real face.

It's the mark of the Outsider. Have you played the game?

It's sad how true that is.

Still, it's better than games like Skyrim where you can shoot them while hiding and they'll think it was their imagination.
Seeing as a lot of people got the low chaos ending but wound up not killing the Admiral, know that if you confront him he [sp]pretends to allow you to walk away with Emily, but if you take the key he starts a close quarters fight[/sp] that ends with you [sp]stabbing him in the arm and then shooting him in the face with his own pistol[/sp]
It's pretty fucking cool.
I wish the Outsider had more to say

If I knew that happened, I would have done that, I just blinked behind him and choked him.

Can you be more specific, all i see is Corvo on the menu screen.

It's not sad. In any TPS you can see past corners. Even in Human Revolution you can see because game turns into third person when you're in cover. Besides that's how it works in real life: If you lean even a little bit just so your pupils will be around corner, your whole "fov" will be around corner.

It means that Corvo shaves his beard off at some point.
[editline]17th October 2012[/editline]
Also does anyone know what happens if Corvo [sp]signs the guestbook[/sp] at Boyle's party? I noticed you could do that yesterday but I have no idea if it has any long term effects or not if it's just a big "fuck you" to everyone.

I think he means the trademark symbol

All i noticed was some additional text in a note in the lord regents room.
The Lord Regent shits himself is all.

It stands for Dishonored: Total Massacre.
also another stealth game Mark of ninja has come out from steam...
Anyone know the name of the song used in the launch trailer? (not the drunken whaler one)

That's just Corvo Attano, the game's protagonist, putting on or removing a mask that was given to him by Piero and at the same time he's casting some spell (because the mark only shines when casting). Simply put, it's a wallpaper used as a part of the menu. Mystery solved.

Sad as in you can be looking directly into an enemy's eyes and he can't see you because you're leaning.
Leaning wouldn't be so silly if it was a slight lean to peak around the corner. Why did they think hanging half your body into the open was a good idea?
Just finished the game today, and wow its an amazing game. Ended with High Chaos
Going on second run now attempting low Chaos, so far so good. Just finished second mission. Anyone got tips for low chaos run? I'm not killing anyone and only using sleeping darts and mix of blink as well as time bend.

Make sure you learn the levels quite well.

Don't want to underrestimate you, but you do know there's a choke function, right? Just in case..
So you can reveal your true identity to the Lord Regent, which is pretty neat. Took a video of it, mild spoilers (but you should've seen this coming).

Yeah, I was taken by surprise by that on my most recent high chaos playthrough. I kept loading at that part (playing highest difficulty, so I die sometimes) and finally I was too impatient to wait for the guards to finish their conversation and decided to stab them during it. I decided to show my face for the sake of the "UMG CORVO" reaction he gives. Does anybody know what this changes? Does he bunker in harder or something?

The dialogue changes a bit but he holes up in his rooftop bunker as always.
How do you deal with the part where [sp]Granny Rags wants you to make a stew out of Slackjaw[/sp] without killing anyone or alerting any enemies? [sp]Granny Rags has the key but pick pocketing it alerts her and I've heard that knocking her out doesn't work.[/sp]

Isn't the door already unlocked when you're in low chaos?
This is the only stealth game I've played in which I can pop down, take someone out and disappear only to hear a patrolling guard then say "There should be someone on this post..", it's a really nice touch.
