It'll definitely go on sale at Christmas and since it's got some creepy elements they might mark it down at Halloween but that isn't certain.
Creepy elements? I doubt it.
Christmas sale is a definite maybe.
I'm really hoping for more DLCs, I think the universe could be expanded more. I want to know more about the other Islands. Oh wait, maybe DLCs on those Islands!
Question time.
Does [sp]killing Weepers[/sp] add to Chaos?

Killing anything human does, I think.

I remember hearing something about DLC on one of the other islands, I forget which one though.
I really want to buy this but I'm a fucking tightwad and don't have much extra cash, when do you all think a sale might happen?
black friday is always just around the corner when people ask this question.
but if you want an opinion i don't think this game is worth buying simply because there isn't a new game+ option. but if you get it for PC and there's cheats by all means get the game.
it's not long enough or does it has as much depth as say assassin's creed 3 or hitman absolution, which are both turning out to be revamp style sequels with a bunch of fucking awesome new things (have you see the new hand to hand combat in ass 3?)
really in my mind this game is just to tide me over till those two come out.
[sp]The whole betrayal aspect was pretty obvious to me. after a lifetime of games and films along these lines i have made it a rule that i never drink something i have not seen being poured.
The second Corvo drank that i thought to myself, "I bet its poisoned".[/sp]
It was meant to be obvious. I mean come on, I wanted to punch [sp]Havelock because he was so obviously full of shit. "Oh Corvo you did a really good job! Better than 100 soilders would do! I'm so proud of you!" every fucking time I did something. Just like my ex who kept buying me expensive shit so I wouldn't dump her before she wanted.[/sp]
I just spent about 30 minutes double-jumping onto an overseer's head. Many "deeeeuuuuaaaauuuaahhh"s were had.
I went around and killed a bunch of people on my first play-through, and I still got the ending for low chaos. Any idea why?

There's a threshold per level of dudes you need to kill and decisions you need to fuck up to get a high chaos rating. If you're below it, you can still kill people, and you won't get high chaos.

R.I.P Lord Shaw.
I find it funny how Overseers are completely immune to crossbow headshots. I just made one keep screaming until I ran out of bolts. Unfortunately the mask has trouble with bullets.
[sp]People aren't with the Outsider. He just gives powers to people to see what'll happen.[/sp]
I suppose that if you're in his position, everything seems like a big sandbox game that he can indirectly take part in.
The heart makes it pretty obvious that Havelock [sp]was going to betray you. It says his ambition is too great, that he already tried to seize control of the military after the empresses death, and a whole list of other things.[/sp]
To be honest I kinda wished that the twist had something to do with [sp]the outsider; like you find out he used you for something and so you have to fight him but meh...[/sp]

No thanks, we already have too many games/movies/books/other media where the main protagonist fights against some random super being of near infinite power that he logically should have no chance against and yet wins because of retarded bullshit.
It's getting a little old by now.
I actually liked that the Outsider was a completely neutral force, it would have been better though to have more involvement from him though, I reckon. He could have been the impartial voice elaborating on some of the goings on in Dunwall.
Maybe even a Bastion-style voiceover deal could have been cool.
The Outsider is like Shakespeare, and we are just one of many actors in his story.
It would be fun if in one of the DLCs we get to play as Daud.
I tried to sneak instead of kill but for mission 1 it said I had 3 kills even though I killed no one

It's always the bomb. In one way or another.
So I finished it again, this time on Very Hard and went for the high chaos ending. Surprisingly found the game to be far easier than when I played it on Normal simply because I allowed myself to kill people this run. I imagine doing a non-lethal Very Hard playthrough would be a chore and will not be attempting it.
Also noticed that if you [sp]kill Samuel in the last mission with a high chaos rating it changes the ending cutscene. Normally it shows Samuel about to (presumably) get sunk by a big wave during the storm and (presumably) die, however if you kill him before he manages to leave the ending scene will instead show Corvo standing beside Samuels grave giving him a kind of salute.[/sp]
Also [sp]the high chaos version of the last mission is far and away superior to the low chaos one. Across the board I found it more satisfying to play and made much better use of the characters.[/sp]

I'm just doing that and it is amazing. Being told that you're a ghost and been totally non-lethal through the whole mission, knowing that it's the hardest way to play the game is incredibly satisfying.
The only proper way to do the Boyles' Party is to kill everyone and then sign the guestbook on your way out.

Or perhaps one of his assassins.
I just thought, due to teleporting means you pretty much explode on effect. Does it mean that at the start of the game you didn't actually kill any assassins?
Starting my non-lethal playthrough

Did Bethesda say anything about modding for this game or what? Is there any potential?

I don't really think there's a lot of modding potential here, sorry.
