Is it possible to have a high chaos stealth run? Is chaos just killing overall, or killing "loudly"?
Killing leads to chaos, so yeah you could to that and still remain stealthy.
Yes. It's actually easier to remain stealthy by killing people. You can invest in an upgrade that makes bodies disappear if you kill them, and killing in general is faster than choking. Add the power to stop time and nothing but[sp]other characters that also have the Outsider's power[/sp]can stand up to you.
So I was at my friend's house watching my friend's first experience with Dishonored. Right at the part where The Empress is supposed to die, he said "Fuck it, I'm cutting out the middleman," and shot her in the head before the assassins could kill her.
That's amazing.
You get a unique game-over message for killing the empress.
Finally got the Assassin vs machine achievemnt.
You get a unique game-over message for killing the empress.
Can anyone post a picture?

[editline]13th December 2012[/editline] Maybe I should do an LP of this game.

So much for unique.
So how good is the DLC? Worth the 5€?
So how good is the DLC? Worth the 5€?
In my opinion it is. But then again, I like to suck Dishonored's dick.
So how good is the DLC? Worth the 5€?
It basically expands on the gameplay aspects we didn't get to use as much as we should have (barring stealth). There's an arena, which makes it worth the 5 units of money to me because I love the combat in Dishonored.
man, can anyone help me with getting 3 stairs on bend time massacre? I've got about 25k points but still only 2 stars. tips or anything.
I kind of wish this game went a bit more in-depth about the outsider but also leaving a little ambiguity so as to not totally give it away. Maybe Future DLC?
I fear we with RHCP version might not get any of the DLC at all. Maybe when they'll make GOTY edition or something like that with all of them.

I'm literally 45 minutes into this game and it's by far one of the greatest games I've played in the last five years. the art direction and the world they built is absolutely encapsulating. I haven't been so immersed in another world since walking the halls of rapture for the first time. And that's not even taking gameplay into account. Game excels at everything it does, a shining example of what a video game needs to be.

Why won't the DLC go on sale? Even when Dishonored was a daily deal, the DLC wasn't discounted at all
I just got the game for christmas, got around to playing it earlier. Decided to go a pacifist route. Knock out a guard, and decide to hide his body over a nearby fence. Toss his unconcious self over the fence, but don't hear a thud... peak over the wall. Turns out I was on a bridge over a cobble stone road some 50 feet below. I watch as the dude's head breaks open... Then a swarm of rats ate his corpse... GREAT START.
Be careful, fall can easily kill knocked out people.
Be careful, fall can easily kill knocked out people.
even if it's like 5 feet, it'll kill someone knocked out
And sliding down stairs counts as a lethal fall. Don't put people on stairs.
And sliding down stairs counts as a lethal fall. Don't put people on stairs.
Did this with [sp]Burroughs[/sp], fucking stairs are dangerous
Are there any cheat codes?
I'm currently still going through my first playthrough but when I finish I plan on replaying the missions a number of times but I'm curious how it works.. what equipment/powers will I have if I say load up Mission 5 and then Mission 2 after? How does it work and/or what dictates the items/powers I'll have on any given mission? Bonus question if the progress of my last playthrough dictates my equipment per mission: if I do a playthrough from a new game, having only unlocked Blink 2 and complete the game.. will loading ANY mission after completion start me up with just Blink 2?

Basically the game makes a save at the start of every mission and then it just loads that. It kind of sucks.
And each playthrough/progress overwrites your autosaves. That includes those saves at the start of mission and "checkpoint" autosaves. So be sure to make manual saves or you might easily lose your non-lethal/ghost saves.
