Also are you implying that facepunch is going to buy premium, grind skills like fs to 70 and then go raid people? Please dont make me laugh. On epic you need premium to sail over to the enemy and 90% of FP does not buy premium. Last time we made somalia we raided a guy's fort. It was about 10-15 people(not everyone was from FP infact only about 8-9 was) vs 4 defenders. We raided for about 2-3 hours when we finally made it to the top most of us died a horrible death and that marked the end of the FP raiding force(which was non existant before anyway). After that raid those guys came and destroyed somalia. Honestly if you want to do pvp dont do it with facepunch.

Almost every on PVP servers? we've had like 2 on PVP servers and if I remember right, 6 on freedom. Listing the one's I remember: Minges Tirith in Golden Valley Mingapore in the south of Freedom The second Minges Tirith in Freedom, the one led by I think Wingboy Minglamabad in... whatever location it was. (the invasion I missed) New Mingapore, the one of that really tall hill island, I think we managed to talk some of the cartographers and map makers into naming it OIFY Island as well. and the one whose name I forgot on one of Rolf's perfect circle islands before we all moved to wild. on the PVP servers there was: one on Wild long in the past that I never knew much about, I don't remember that one's name Somalia, the most recent one

I say just make a thread in general discussion announcing winter invasion when the new server is out. Then we continue the normal invasion cycle. I feel this one might be bigger though due the fact the game is actually being updated.

So we wont organise anything here. But feel free to do it because reddit might not be interested

We could get people on FP but the last time I asked to make a thread on GD I was told to make it here instead

I'm all for going with reddit but i still think we should organize something here. I can see a lot of new players joining considering that its a new server and the Christmas break is coming up soon. Whether or not they stay is a different story. I'll make the thread in GD when the new server comes out unless anyone else wants to do it.

I'm ok with being with people of reddit, just as long as we can gather a huge amount of people that are willing to cooperate together to execute a good strategy.

Literally over a dozen foundations accured from Pirates Outpost (Versions one through god knows over 20-30). Milp took in FP'ers and CAPS also took in FP'ers and technically CAPS was a group of FP'ers to begin with. FP'ers were hated throughout wurm and still technically are for causing trouble all the time diplomatically. FP is meant to be apart of the PVP servers, to not be apart of it is not being a FP town. Yeah you gotta grind fighting, But fighting for your homeland is what wurm is what makes wurm fun.

Pirates Outpost was mostly succesful due to Wild, the PVP server at the time, going free to play. Pirates Outpost was basically the Minges Tirith of the PVP server. The same name being used for tons of different invasions/towns. When is this reddit invasion taking place? We could have a Facepunch street in the village somewhere.

However it's really amazing to see the nature landscape slowly being molded into a town with its own industry, with people being busy and doing all kinds of shit. We even did a small invasion with milp back in february and it wasnt a success either... I mean i know people who were around since like the old days like comcastic pvt ryan and others who never bought premium. Sure they dont play anymore but still they played for a long time and never bought premium

I almost wish that the golden valley was still available, free users only, everyone with the same skills, maxed at the 20 cap. one of the things that always puts me off wurm is when there's an imbalance in skills and/or playtime, the people who've played longer make you look bad because they've got ungodly high skills and the people who've only recently started are forced to keep asking everyone for help since they've got very low skills. it doesn't help when you ask a question, nearly everyone will automatically tell you "wiki" even when you already fucking know the answer's not there.

You got invited to the town, killed yourself and respawned in the town. It worked pretty well, except people at the spawn area complained about the huge pile of corpses.

God damn, just making a 1x1 shed is taking ages. Not to mention I got lucky finding iron in the first place.
