hey dudes stop building towns on the coast, sack up and go blaze a trail into the depths of the dark wilderness. If you want to be alone and stay alone, stay away from the coasts and easy-to-reach places. Building on the coast effectively cuts your available lumber resources in half. Build near a lake/pond in the middle of the island.
