You literally have not googled anything.
Can somebody link to some warband custom battle mods then? I'd like to have one of the quickest and funnest thrills of wb modded to amazingness.
This is REALLY getting annoying. I'm playing warband under the swords of damocles mod, and we've been constantly at war for a long long time. Every lord in my nation adores me and none of them follow our war marshal. Is there anyway I can force marshalship away from him? If not legitimately in game, is there a file I can change a value to? Oh, and without marshalship I've managed to conquer all of the Nord's land(but they managed to squirm way with a town far away). I'd keep doing that but it's annoying single handedly recruiting all the other lords.

[editline]20th March 2012[/editline]
B&S makes it so you can become extremely OP before you even hit level 5. I hired 2 companions and raided a village to buy us all muskets(B&S fucks with prices of items so 1 raid can net you 20-40k easy)
Blood and Sword in a nutshell: ROCKITLAWNCHAIR GRENADES BEECANNONS MUSKETS FUCKSWORDS BLOOD EVERYWHERE [editline]20th March 2012[/editline] Also I got 1 gigs of RAM. I can't run Brytenwalda now can I?
Well the download for Blood&Steel is fucked. Native it is then.
Get it off the nexus. I recently reinstalled and used that version of B&S and it's a stable build
Any files I can modify to change the capture rate for lords? It's far too high.
>Play Brytenwalda >Finish intro >Cheat mahself some gold to check out the game (NOTICE "CHECK OUT") >Get some hella awesome gear >Enter meat hall >Out of video memory crash. What the fuck.
There needs to be some m&b related affair to make this thread more active. Just like with stalker :v:
There needs to be some m&b related affair to make this thread more active. Just like with stalker :v:
FP online Clan. M&M regiment.
Let's have a clan go onto the battle server, and then the admin will cry that the regiment isn't using double lines or is skirmishing when it should be standing in ranks waiting their turn to shoot.
That's only events. The only silly rule in normal M&M is "No double gunning". Oh yeah and the US server has a few shitty admins who will ban people for doing all sorts of trivial shit, like climbing a ladder on the map to the roof of a shed. And "Waiting their turn" tells me you haven't played in a line battle with anybody competent.
One of my friends wanted to get warband, So he bought it. After he bought it he realised it was the normal MnB. Excellent work genius
One of my friends wanted to get warband, So he bought it. After he bought it he realised it was the normal MnB. Excellent work genius
Warband the normal MnB? Well yeah, but better.
I think he means his friend bought the original M&B thinking it was Warband.
Oh yeah, that makes sense. Annoying misstake to make :v:
That's only events. The only silly rule in normal M&M is "No double gunning".
Thats probably a good one to have. I've abused it in smaller games and you can use it to devastating effect. Carry four loaded rifles, fire one, switch to the next one and fire that one, rinse repeat. [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] Its sort of a hypocritical to have that rule though because they dont seem to give a shit about people using speed bonus exploits to deliver 100+ damage in those retarded bayonet fights
Huh? how does that work?
spin
Huh? how does that work?
Artificial speed vial speeding/turning quickly.
Oh so that's why people do that. I thought it just to look cool and have stuff to make 360 no-look bayonet stabs montages.
Oh so that's why people do that. I thought it just to look cool and have stuff to make 360 no-look bayonet stabs montages.
yeah this too but the best way to show them that they suck - just parry low and then bam all their skill is gone [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] also play some native (not crpg not crpg not crpg) multiplayer w/ a 2h sword it'll really help you a lot in swordfighting, I fucking own in duels and sometimes in 1vs2+ [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] also the best way to completely make the enemy pro bayo skilled gangsta 420 worthless - hug him sometimes polearms (bayo muskets, sponton spear) deal low / no damage in very close range [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] also learn how to chamberblock, I've never seen a single person in mount and musket try this thing, but it native it's just amazing
Oh, I thought double gunning was when you had another player behind you and when you shot and reloaded he traded spots with you while you reloaded. Normal armies used that tactic to devastating effect in real life, but the people in front would crouch and reload, not trade spots. They should add crouching. Also, tried Blood&Steel. It was pretty good, but I still have gripes: 1. That female army is fucking retarded and looks liken shit. It shouldn't even be in the game. 2. The mod feels more like a bunch of item mods slapped together by someone with little coding experience. Still, they are good items mods (acccept the female armor)
That's rank fire. Double gunning is grabbing another gun off the ground. Crouch is Q. V is shout something silly (Or maybe C) P is play instrument.
yeah this too but the best way to show them that they suck - just parry low and then bam all their skill is gone
My favorite thing in M&M is playing russian militia and fighting amatuer lancers who cant figure out the concept of couching. You just do that, parry low and all their half-assed attempts become negated. It seems a lot of people can't figure that out though, its just facepalm-depressing when I see somebody get killed by a lancer who isn't couching.

Went on the official server last saturday and found some great guys to play cavalry with, everyone lined up, moved together and killed shit. Though I gotta say that spinning stuff when fighting guys in bayonet fighting is really annoying, because I keep thinking that I should be able to stab them before they stab me or because I think they are out of range.
also play some native (not crpg not crpg not crpg)
Why not crpg?
Why not crpg?
Native can be fun sometimes.

Still, they are good items mods (acccept the female armor)
The only reason I play it is because it doesn't have the tiresome snails pace of M&B that gets boring by the time you've done 20+ characters divided between each game. The very best part of M&B next to the first time learning to play the game, is the late game with empires and wars. B&S lets you get to that stage in less than an hour on normal difficulty if you pick the Condetteri or Merchant characters (super softcore mode, unless you go pure Kherigts) B&S also makes combat more entertaining because there are so many weapons to use, after a bunch of raids every now and then I go and buy a new sword or try a new weapon to mix things up. Also very fun is the freelancer mod, which lets you join armies as a foot soldier. The Native version is by far the most fun one I have played, because the AI spends the least amount of time in peace, sitting in a castle doing nothing.
Why not crpg?
CRPG? Skill? ahahha it's all about playing for hours in order to get enough of money to buy a set that doesn't suck. and then you realize that you put one of your skill points into a wrong attribute and congratulations you have to start again or other players will annihilate you It's pure grinding, that's why people love it - grinding is annoying, dumb and worthless but people still love it (for example world at tanks). Just play Native in order to play Warband. Then be good at warband, and start owning in mount and musket.
Would be lovely if mount and musket had more shooting and less bayoneting. There were plenty of bayonet *charges* in napolenic wars but not a whole lot of actual bayoneting actually went on. Most people dont stick around to get in bayonet fencing matchs. So its a pretty gamey and retarded feature in a mod that is by and large supposed to be realistic, instead you have about 50% of the team going off the have bayonet fights instead of actually using the gun part of their gun. [editline]23rd March 2012[/editline] For that matter how is it that a 160 pound infantryman can step in front of a 1000 pound horse moving at 50 kmph, bayonet said horse and not recieve any spine-shattering injuries as the horse topples over him?
Bayonet charges happen in the game because otherwise it's groups of people hiding behind some rocks/trees/walls taking potshots with guns which sometimes hit if you have them pressed against somebody's face. In reality/line battles the targets are entire groups of people moving slowly/standing still so firing at them is more likely to land a hit. Once the enemy are thinned to the point where they're hardly a threat then a charge may happen, especially since in M&B nobody can just shit themselves and run for their lives. And making killing cavalry completely deadly is a pretty silly idea. While you're at it why not make it so that spears have to be braced against the ground. And running into an obstacle on a horse kills everybody involved.
