In that case, then yes the general consensus is that Warband is superior to With Fire & Sword. Although I tend to find that WFAS has much better coop multiplayer.
WF&S is a cool idea and its a good game in theory, but there's no way to get around it, the game sucks. Might be a good purchase for MP though, as the MP is fun if you can find a populated server. As for singleplayer they ruined all the strong and sensible roleplaying elements of M&B/WB, the singleplayer is crazy unbalanced and tonnes of stuff (namely weapon/armor pricing) makes absolutely no sense. You start out as a bland generic character from no set ethnic/lineage background, just hire tonnes of mercenaries who work for what must be slave wages and then endlessly raid villages, that's all there is to do. I pray M&B:2 is nothing like it. Would like to see the thirty years war get revisited though, lots of good potential there for an M&B game.

Also, I want a shitton of new features.
Is nord invasion good? If so, is this or WF&S coop better? And i mean playing with 1-3 people
They are both different Araknid. Nord Invasion period is based around Warband while WF&S is with muskets. Also not to mention Nord Invasion has a leveling mechanic for it and many other fun things to do. WF&S is fun for the fact that you can command some troops.
Currently playing The Deluge online. Has some neat features and the period is interesting. Factions are a bit boring though.
I'm beta-testing a mod with the regiment I'm in and others. All I can say is that those who play/played Mount and Musket will love it. It's much better. A trailer is in the making.
What would you guys say are the best single player mods for M&B/Warband?
What would you guys say are the best single player mods for M&B/Warband?
For Warband I'm really enjoying sword of damocles.
For Warband I'm really enjoying sword of damocles.
Native Expansion, Diplomacy, Freelancer.
AD 1257 is quite a fun mod for warband, still in beta tho.
wow nord invasion is amazing. And its not dead in Australia, thats the best part.
What would you guys say are the best single player mods for M&B/Warband?
Floris Expanded, Sword of Damocles. But Floris has better balance imo
Floris is my favorite Warband mod.
I downloaded Brytenwalda yesterday and have been playing it a lot. It's great fun. Also What the fuck
Those fat suits are probably the silliest thing in the mod. I'm fairly certain it wasnt possible to become anything more than slightly pudgy up until modern times unless you were a noble who actively made it your mission to become extremely fat.

Holy shit Forest Bandits in Floris can completely destroy you if you're unprepared. I tried fighting a band of about thirty of them and it essentially turned into the end of 300.
So I'm playing Floris expanded and got into a few tournaments and there are these 'guardsmen' and 'captains' that are horrendously OP and whack me with what must be -80% speed shots and do 140+ damage to myself or my horse instantly killing either or both. Is this supposed to happen? Can I turn it off?
Hmm, sounds like they made some character with like 1000 strength so it wouldn't die and it's being entered into the tournament for some reason.

To do that, go camp, and you'll see "Mod options" there.
Well Floris is pretty fun withstanding small problems like that. However I just found a gaggle of forest bandits (literally all their armies) following an 80-sized one with a named 'Lord' in charge named Tranter. The hell? I can't find any information on this feature on google or the forums.

Is it just me or are there like no crossbows in Brytenwalda. I went like everywhere and I can't find a single one.
Is it just me or are there like no crossbows in Brytenwalda. I went like everywhere and I can't find a single one.
Crossbows were a medieval invention. Brytenwalda is just a few decades after the roman empire collapsed.

War of the Roses is already very promising, I just hope it brings that same theme as MnB does when you are online playing a siege battle - fighting for every corner. I hope they also release mod tools and has a somewhat decent campaign (anything better than MnB's). [editline]28th March 2012[/editline]
Paradox are hoping to entice players with a hefty game that includes dozens of weapons and 60 perks that unlock abilities and let you customise your play style. But they’re also planning a deluge of paid-for post-release content. Think new crests. Think hat attachments, such as fancy plumes or absurd ornaments.
eh.
