Haha, Baptism by Fire my friend. Personally, after not playing M&B after a year, I bought Warband and nose dived right into Native Expansion. It was good to get hang of the game with that added challenge. Makes every positive gain mean that much more. But that's just my case, others can do it your way as well and that's fine. Mod's great none the less though.
newbie to Mount&Blade? lol Prophesy of Pendor
Anybody as Marshall in Floris Expanded unable to rally the lords? If I call in a campaign, nobody comes. Maybe I'm impatient? It's not that people dislike me and refuse to follow me, I'm very well liked, and I can manually have everyone follow me if I ask them to directly. When I ask "what are you and your men doing" they'll say they're doing "whatever" because the "marshall is currently indisposed."
Gentlemen, the franchise is now on 75% sale on steam so if there is a game you haven't got or perhaps want to turn one of your friends into a fan this is your chance.
Ah, I suspected that would happen. Thanks for posting it. Drop this in your polished landscapes module folder and overwrite the current http://www.gamefront.com/files/20801535/module.ini Or just delete everything in it (it being the module.ini) and paste this text into it in it's current format http://shorttext.com/hqsD7Z [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] should fix the problem, tell me if it doesnt [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] Have a screenshot
Could you re-upload the file? It's broken.
Getting a really frustrating bug in Floris Mod. Trying to create a new character, but the screen goes black and irresponsive after the first character creation screen (so it crashes on the banner selection screen). I made a character tomorrow with no issues, but I've tried messing around with all the graphical/audio settings as well as reinstalling the mod. Any ideas?
what?
I meant yesterday :( [editline]19th April 2012[/editline]
Translation issue?
nah I'm just a retard :( pretty sure I must have gotten distracted half way through writing that.
Is there any way to stop a war besides taking control of every other castle and town, or waiting for the two sides to randomly decide they're done fighting? I'm a Nord vassal, and we've been at war with 4 of the other groups forever even though notheing is happening.

Hahahahahaha, bought the DLC, I just walk up to people dodging bullets while playing drum then when I'm in melee range I kill them all because no one's really good at blocking. [editline]20th April 2012[/editline] Oh my god, I'm just running around on horseback playing my trumpet and bump killing everyone. [editline]20th April 2012[/editline] Now I'm spamming explosives everywhere as I ignite them and do my last stand, this is great.

ok
Ahh shite my crash to black screen is a confirmed product of the update, yesterday. So frustrating; I only need to get past one screen.
Finally got this game, should I play through vanilla first before getting some mods (Friend recommended this mod I forgot its name :v:) Starting as an archer chick, gonna be interesting, my second playthrough is gonna be the INQUISITION
So I've decided I want to get one of these games, should I get Warband first or start with the original?
Get the original only for the old mods. Warband is better than the original. Plus, if you get bored of sp you can get frustrated trying to block people's attacks online.
Get Warband if you wanna get one of the games.
Sieges are so boring when you're defending. It's pretty much half an hour of clicking your mouse at the top of a ladder.
Sieges are so boring when you're defending. It's pretty much half an hour of clicking your mouse at the top of a ladder.
Sieges are just boring in general. That's something that I was hoping they'd try to improve in future releases.
At least the sound of the morningstar crushing through all their blocks is somewhat entertaining.
I just got attacked by 500 enemies (I have about 40, mostly huscarls) and they cant figure out how to get up the ladder. This could take years. Also do you have to pay your garrison, or should I just start storing all my extra soldiers there to save money?

YES! Steam has Mount & Blade Collection on sale! FUCK!
I had an awesome siege round as attacker on the Napoleonic War DLC. I went for artillery officer because the last round our cannons had been at spawn trying to shoot at god knows what. I told the arty guys exacly where to put the cannons, told sappers to build up some light defenses around them, made sure the howitzer wasn't shooting at friendlies and then I spotted for the canons. It was cool because everybody was working together and listening. I love when it goes as easy as that.

I went to the front of the fields and killed Officers, Artillery Crew and organized Regiment Members. I retreated back, reloaded, repeated. Killed like 7 people. On a side note, attacking in Siege really sucks. Its 10 minutes of running to the Fort Walls and getting shot at by 5 different people at once.
Any tips on making money in Warband as a vassal? I've been pretty low for awhile and those weekly wages are starting to catch up on me.
Any tips on making money in Warband as a vassal? I've been pretty low for awhile and those weekly wages are starting to catch up on me.
Cut down the amount of troops you have garrisoned in your fiefs and maybe some in your army, particularly the expensive types like mercenaries. Sell everything you loot. Maybe do some quests if you are really low. Oh, use blunt weapons and get lots of prisoners to sell. Find a tournament, bet the max amount on yourself each round. (and win each round.) [editline]20th April 2012[/editline] With 1000 renown and 52 honor and 54 Right to Rule I'm wondering when I should go off and make my own faction. And the best way to go about it.

Probably from the lords I captured and released right away. The option that like, says they've done good in battle and that you'll let 'em go. On top of that, the villages I've saved, etc. Tournaments. [editline]20th April 2012[/editline] The mod I'm using might boost it too, though.
