how do i get me a god damn castle the ruler of my faction hates me (-8 or -9), so getting it as a gift wont be easy
Besides taking over one yourself it won't be easy. Just try to get your relationship up with the King. You can befriend a married Lady of the court and then send the King gifts to improve your relation with him.

Suck up to lords, win some battles to get your renown up, and besiege a castle on your own. If the faction leader likes you enough after you take it, he'll give it to you.
I now have a town in each kingdom with 75+ relation, so I can rebuild my army out of whatever units i want in a really short time.
Are there any mods out there that extend the original world?
Are there any mods out there that extend the original world?
Nothing I can think of off the top of my head, but Europe 1200 is pretty fucking huge.
Can't find a single broker in any tavern, I have 15 Prisoners and I want money for them dammit.
Can't find a single broker in any tavern, I have 15 Prisoners and I want money for them dammit.
Head to Tihr while stopping at any city you find along the way. One of those cities will have to have a Ransom Broker and if not, you can sell the prisoners to Ramun in Tihr, although you'll get less money. Sometimes theirs a Ransom Broker AND Ramun in Tihr so you might get lucky. Don't forget to check the upstairs of taverns. Sometimes NPC's spawn there if the tavern gets full.
Found one of the last holdouts from Swadia. Even though he had no army, and agreed with me in everything in the dialogue, he refused to change sides.
A guy on my friends list told me to get this cRPG mod, but it has so much stuff to do before you can get to play... its taking ages to download. I tried betraying my faction with the claimant, got a fortress but they had SO MUCH PEOPLE striking me over and over, it was impossible. Also the few lords I had a decent relation with (read: +4, +6) didn't want to join me. Glad I backed my save up :v:
Just a tip, cRPG is not noob friendly at all, it's your average MP mod where the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. I've played cRPG for over 2 years now and that's been holding true for the entire 2 years.

All the players are on the same team against swarms of Nordic invaders.

Stand in one spot, spam M1, auto block, but in the end you die because there's no enemy friendly fire, and enemies go through eachother repeat a few thousand times
oh my god I only just found out that holding ctrl and space speeds up world map movement. eeee
oh my god I only just found out that holding ctrl and space speeds up world map movement. eeee
Also right clicking on a war party lets you accompany them.
Yeah, it's looking this way for me I started and I get 1-hit by fists, and I can't deal ANY damage to anyone. It sucks.
Pretty much, if you're on NA too, the Trend seems to be strenght builds, so anything that's 30/9 or 27/12, at this point, even 24/15 builds are considered balanced builds which is really retarded. From what I heard, EU is more about balanced and agility builds, so 15/24 or 18/18 18/21 21/18 and the likes. I'm a HUGE fan of agility builds, I play a 12/27 with 9 athletics, it's great because you can dance around 5 guys at once and win if you know what you're doing since the strenght stackers won't ever catch up to you unless it's raining (Shitty athletic debuff when it rains because it's percentage, so the faster you are, the slower you are to the point where slower builds catch up to you npnp). Only problem with a 12/27 build is my hits are pretty weak and I have to rely on Speed bonus alot and a single mistake will cost me my life because I'm squishy. So, you hit this strenght guy in heavy armor 8 times, then he just gets a lucky hit on you or you make a mistake or he starts spinning like a retard because you win MP by spinning and spamming feints then he one hit kills you on the backhit of his overhead that he accidently did on you.

As a longtime player you can't even wear the best equipment all the time because it drains your funds.

Upkeep is useless to long time players, they have several millions in their moneypool just waiting to get used up so they couldn't give less of a shit with upkeep. Not to mention the fact that they can just retire, sell a heirloom point for 600,000 gold and be able to play a full generation in the most expensive gear. I once played an entire generation with 100,000 gold worth of gear and in the long run I actually made money, not much at all, but I still made money, started the generation with 20,000 gold and finished with 40,000 gold.

Anyway, makes me wonder why people hardly every show up in full plate then.
HOLY SHIT. >100 hours on M&B and I did not know this. I love you.
Bet most of that was travel time. :v:
What the fuck how does that even work? Anyway, makes me wonder why people hardly every show up in full plate then.
What do you mean how does that even work? And it's because Plate is not aesthetically good looking and has a mobility and proficiency penalty to it and most players care about that, so they just get the med-heavy armor they think look the best and heirloom it to lordly along with gloves, effectively giving them more protection than unheirloomed plate for much less weight, thus making you keep your mobility and you also lose less proficiency from the weight.
Got my first headshot in NW today. Aw yeah.
These things, man...
Also, I just learned that having horses increases movement speed for the party because they are "holding" your items. Why is it that none of this stuff is told in game?
Also, I just learned that having horses increases movement speed for the party because they are "holding" your items. Why is it that none of this stuff is told in game?
I'm not sure that's how it works. Horses just apply a speed bonus to any troops. So if you had a 100% cavalry army, you'd move lightning quick. This is the reason khergit armies move freakishly fast.
Also right clicking on a war party lets you accompany them.
I love you.

Giving horses to all your companions. For every "mounted" troop in your party you recieve a tiny percentile speed bonus. If a companion has a horse, they count as mounted.
Having horses in your inventory also gives you a speed boost
I give everyone I find a horse because I run a calvary army.
