I just quit my file with 340 days of journey in it(not actual play time).
Retired an old file with 267.
Started a new file and on 96 days.
Want to start a new file. Should I go Native or Europe 1200 for this one?

I'd say Europe 1200. You can always go back to Native if you feel like it.
Anyone else hate brytenwalda tournaments? Worst thing is when its a 1v1 with spear and shield.

Oh yeah. It's no secret that they're rigged. You can get 1-shotted by a javelin while they barely flinch when you lodge all 4 into their chest.
Winning is not decided by skill, only by luck. If you're really pissed then no one will blame you for trying to cheat your way through.
Is With Fire and Sword good? I was thinking of buying that.

way ahead of you

I liked the time I spent on it, the setting is pretty cool and muskets are pretty fun.

Absolutely horrible, if you got Warband you should download Deluge mod, 100 times better.

First check to see if there's anything else you want. Fire & Sword is really hit or miss for most people. I love it, especially when I play with Sweden, but it seems the majority dislikes it.
If you do get it, Old Pike = Rape
I like With Fire and Sword. The price is a bit high for my tastes, but it's still fun to play 100 v 100 Bot games.
WFAS is often on sale on Steam. Just keep a look out!
I would LOVE WFAS if they just changed some small things with trade, like being able to send out multiple types of items on one caravan, and leaving in purchasable industry.
Is there a key that I accidently hit to make me walk instead of run? Because while on horseback I feel like I'm going slower and I can't coach my lance no matter what. I've been jamming on the weapon toggle button but nothing happens.

I got this, but it requires Script Enhancer. How do I go about getting that to work on the Steam version of the game?
Oh man, It's multiplayer only. Nevermind :v:
Oh cool, I never noticed that there was a thread for this game. I've been playing Warband quite a bit recently. I think I might end up making a new character though, I joined the Khergits and they keep getting in wars with multiple other factions simultaneously, and it seems like I just have to dedicate more and more time and resources to protect my fiefs. They have been doing pretty well though, they almost wiped out Swadia completely and took about half of the Vaegirs territory before I even figured out how to become a vassal. Actually, that's probably the biggest reason why defending my land is so hard, it's pretty much spread all across Calradia. I own both Gism and Dashbigha. :v:
I was playing Floris and rolling with the Swadians when I realized that our beautiful Calradia was never going to unite under King Feastsalot, so I felt that action needed to be taken. I threw off the chains of vassalage, and established the beautiful kingdom of Torpovia. Used my city (Jelkala) and two castles to take Veluca from Swadia and secure a sizable chunk of land for my burgeoning nation. Some petty lord in Vaegirtown defected to Torpovia, and BAM, war is on:

I found the Vaegir leader and forked over the castle for peace, then realized how to prevent wars from annoying the shit out of me: once war is declared, take over a castle from the faction and find their leader. He'll want it back, peace is declared, no more of my towns are burned to the ground.
Also, I am going to fail horribly, but being at peace sure beats constant war and having all of the Swadian lords defect a half dozen times. All of their current ones hate me because they are from factions whose teeth we kicked in.
Torpovia in all her glory:

Your horse has probably been lamed.
Why are Iron Staffs so rare?
I've seen one twice on a character I have around 1200 in-game days on.

Same way as the normal version of the game, I think it even installs WSE with it.
But yeah, it's MP only. :v:

As of the recent patch they've broken something.
Seems you only deliver base damage or something in tournaments, no speed bonus and no power strike difference.. The tournaments were far more functional in previous versions of brytenwalda now there's just no point in doing them.
The javelins in brytenwalda as assbackwards as fuck, though. I don't know where this dumb "javelins pierce hardwood shields and make them useless" myth originated from, but your shield gets hit by 1-2 javelins in brytenwalda and it gets fucking vaporized because they all have a "bonus damage to shields" effect. Realism.
Also for some godforsaken reason all the axes in the game deliver piercing damage. So any troop type that carries a hatchet is instantly ubermencsh.
Absolutely horrible, if you got Warband you should download Deluge mod, 100 times better.
The Deluge isn't even the same type of mod. The Deluge is a multiplayer mod and plays very different.
Wf&s and The Deluge are both worth playing, but wf&s will actually provide you with a single player story driven campaign while The Deluge does not. Most of the time you will play "Invasion" when you're playing The Deluge. Invasion is pretty boring. Most people play Invasion, but sometimes people also play battle, but even then it's not always fun because of the horribly unbalanced factions.

Well, the latest version of WSE I could find works only on 1.143, but Warband on Steam is 1.151.

Finally found a bride, Lady Sur.

I actually lol at the fact you mentioned "it is not the same mod" - paying for a mod WFaS or Napoleon indeed.
Anyway, Deluge is pretty much a better version of WFaS for multiplayer it uses the same factions and stuff and looks way better.
When I played everyone played battle on that.

Yeah I don't think the versions matter because in other mods it worked perfectly fine aswell, but I may be wrong.
How do I control which soldiers get sent into battle. I always fiddle with the move up and down option but it still feels like I get a mix of all of my soldiers.

1-2-3-4-5 buttons depending on their groups etc (Like 1 is Infantry) or you make special groups in your party menu for every unit type.

No i disagree. I've played both of them online quite a lot and i find they very different. They would be completely different if they had a different setting. wf&s has slow melee combat and faster gun reloading while The Deluge has fast melee combat and slow gun reloading.
The Deluge has really impressive features, but that doesn't make it better. The factions are really unbalanced which is much less of a problem in wf&s. On top of that wf&s actually has an enjoyable singleplayer while The Deluge is just (unabalanced) multiplayer or coop against bots in invasion mode.
Both mods lack good maps, but i prefer wf&s maps.
I think too many people hate wf&s but they probably never took the time to compare it with other mods. The Napoleonic wars mod for example is far too expensive if you compare it with wf&s.

Hmm I agree the gun reloading was slow, but I suppose I like that a lot better since I'm good with manual blocking and I suck with shooting guns (unless I take engineer shotgun and use it to kill 3 people with one shot from spawn).
I can't hit shit with that shotgun. Some people are really good with it and kill like 7 guys in 1 shot.
stolen from taleworlds, brytenwalda has some fucking hilarious syntax issues
