I thought it was good, but it brings no new features to the table.
Well some of the things are interesting. For example I liked how there were towers to garrison in various battle maps, the attempt at artillery and such, but it still feels quite a bit like native.
oh my god I might actually buy with fire and sword for the new sieges, warband had one fucking siege map and it was fucking terrible owing to your entire force charging up one ladder, getting slaughtered and pushing you off
:what:
Wasn't fire and sword released in poland like last year?

Also the best mod is the chinese world war 2 mod for the original mount and blade
I think I'll buy With Fire & Sword. It looks fun and it doesn't cost as much as Warband. And it seems to be the first Mount & Blade game with a proper story and alternate endings. The new captain mode in MP sounds pretty cool too.
cRPG is like the worst fuckin thing that has ever happened to mount and blade.
Yeah it is indeed awful.
Still, I have had hours upon hours of fun on the larger 100+ servers.
And playing Invasion with a friend + random people is a lot of fun as well.
WW2 China is also a blast in Coop. Really intense when you try to defend against massive waves.
Fire and Sword is already out in some countries and those people say it's shit.
I like the idea though.
Also i like c-rpg because you don't get killed by 1 hit of anything. You can be, but don't have to be. The leveling is debatable but i like the balance and that you can save up money to go all out with that too powerful shiny gear.

I'd say an emperor is male.
That has to be the old version which doesn't run on the updated Warband engine. Not only that but it was only meant for eastern europe. The one that is on steam is a much more polished version.

Polished? Oh i get it. :v:
The single player version is what I was talking about.
It's great since you have to work to make your men better because you have to level them up realistically.
You have to find guns through either killing enemies, or buying them after bribing a baggage official in a city since they're not immediately available from the city menu until you bribe him like four or five times.
That being said you need ammo and weapons and those are both expensive.
You have to arm your people by putting the weapons and ammo inside of a side inventory accessed by camp and you can make calvary if you have horses.
It also has an officer type system where the more officers you have, the more xp your units get from training.
Really great single player mod for the original mount and blade. I think its just multiplayer for Warbands for now.
Sounds good, but what version are you talking about?
1866.
Best Mount And Blade mod of all time.
Alright, I'll probably get Fire & Sword.
At least this time if some asshole tries to twitch me to death in multiplayer I can just shoot him!
Sounds good, but what version are you talking about?
I was talking about the Chinese WW2 mod for the original mount and blade. Non warbands M&B
Anyone have a link to the siege mod for Warband? I can't find it for the life of me.

Expanded Gameplay 2.
So after I'm finished with my current play through(vassal of sarranids) i want to have a role play character, but I cant decide what role i should play.
I've thought of a few:
knight character, centered in swadia, with a goal of being righteous and chivalrous, and being mainly heavy cavalry.
steppe nomad, not joining a faction as a vassal, but getting large army of horse archers etc, and being a mercenary. intent of taking over khergits and being khan and being a huge horde and invading the other kingdoms.
viking, focus on infantry completely, having armies of huscarls and archers, not sure of what the over arching goal would be. maybe trying to survive as a band of raiders completely independent of factions.
any body got any other ideas?
I would say the best thing to do is have something focus on great calvary with shitty infantry as reinforcements. Make it seem um, conscription wise.
Should I get Warband? I might get fire and sword if I like Warband.
What can I expect from this game? It has gotten some hype and I am not sure if I might like it or not.
Warbands is a better looking mount and blade with engine improvements.
That's about it aside from multiplayer. I would say get it if you want to play mods.
Since half of them are for warbands anyway.
Bought Mount & Blade yesterday, love it.
Also bought Warband today.
I remember buying Mount and Blade and loving it, and then hearing about Warband being made and multiplayer
I thought it was going to be good :saddowns:
Why didn't you like it? It made everything better
shoutouts to maclaren aka fkpuz for buying me warband
Game's on sale right now on Steam, all three games for 15€. Is it worth it?

Oh god yes.
Just came in to say that Fire and Sword will be infested with people who bought it just for the TF2 hats. Kind of like how Robin ruined Killing floor with its TF2 deal.
Wasn't with fire and sword released like two years ago, except no one bothered to translate it from Polish?

Where do you get that from?
