[QUOTE=gamerman345;29525252]Thanks for the shit stir, we can consider ourselves "enlightened" :downs:[/QUOTE] Well its the truth. I highly doubt it'd jump to the 2nd most bought game on steam without the help of hats, regardless of how fun the game is. For some its the extra incentive, for others, its just a free game for two hats.

[QUOTE=Generic.Monk;29526870]what the fuck is the appeal of hats anyway[/QUOTE] Showing off in front of other players.
So far, the only mod I've seen with a SP that actually has life, like a whole lot of lords running around is PoP(Prophesy of Pendor). I also don't like mods which darken the mood of the game, makes M&B kind of boring. Anyone knows of a mod that gives you clearer skies, and even brightens the metagame map thing in some way? All skyboxes, to be exact.
One of my main gripes with the series has to be how little progress the factions make in war. Ive never seen the AI take a town, even after playing for 285 ingame days. (in the original). The only mod that ive seen change it is Blood&Steel, which is what makes it so addicting.

What's so special about diplomacy?
[QUOTE=sami-elite;29528195]What's so special about diplomacy?[/QUOTE] Well, its basically vanilla with some little changes. But I see the factions fucking each other up badly, so I guess it overhauls the AI a bit. [editline]30th April 2011[/editline] Here you got the features: [url]http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1887[/url]
i've got floris mod pack with diplomacy and it may be the other mods but the AIs are really fucking each other up with 1000 man armies taking down towns

It sounds like they used this in blood and steel. I used to like blood and steel for it's extra options.
Anybody got a list of good singleplayer mods for warband? There's alot on the repository and I don't want to search through them all. [editline]30th April 2011[/editline] Or are all of the good mods for the original mount and blade?
Is anyone else somewhat annoyed with M&B THEN M&B:Warband AND THEN M&B: Fire and Steel? Not only does it make it hell for modders (at least, I think?) it also ends up costing around $65.
Yeah there are not many good singleplayer mods for warband. You can find all good mods on their forum. They got their own sub forums and form a list under released mods. [s] making single player mods. Also, i watched a review of with fire and blade and thankfully you can recruit people into your army by going to mercenary camps. That's a big plus. I don't get his game, Are you always fighting or is it an Free roam with a huge map and lots of quests and things?
Is there a singleplayer mod for M&B Warband that does nothing but add new items? All the mods seem to be obsessed with adding a bunch of dumb tweaks.
[QUOTE=cr2142;29529628]I don't get his game, Are you always fighting or is it an Free roam with a huge map and lots of quests and things?[/QUOTE] the latter, actually just watch a gameplay video?
Have some pics from an event made by the community of Mount and Musket (mod for Mount and Blade:Warband), map was made for the event. First here's the setting of the event. [img_thumb]http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/9716/edition32.jpg[/img_thumb] There were about 45 brits against 110 french. Our anuses weren't prepared for the raping we were about to get. French infantry charging the fort [img_thumb]http://oi51.tinypic.com/4fwbdd.jpg[/img_thumb] We start shooting at em' [img_thumb]http://oi54.tinypic.com/10z5t2h.jpg[/img_thumb] The general gave order to retreat to our last line of defense [img_thumb]http://oi54.tinypic.com/o55pcl.jpg[/img_thumb] Getting ready (you can't see many from my picture but there were many survivors taking cover in houses, the artillery crew even manned two cannons on my left) [img_thumb]http://oi56.tinypic.com/2i9m2wz.jpg[/img_thumb] French start coming [img_thumb]http://oi53.tinypic.com/33f6t05.jpg[/img_thumb] When all of them gather near the fort they charge us [img_thumb]http://oi51.tinypic.com/hv9eh0.jpg[/img_thumb] It ended with 5-0 for the French. No surprise there.
I have the original and don't play many mods, is it worth it to get Warband? Also I bought it forever ago and never really got into it, but these past couple of days I've been having lots of fun with it. How do I become a vassal/king?
[QUOTE=ionuttzu;29530277]Have some pics from an event made by the community of Mount and Musket (mod for Mount and Blade:Warband), map was made for the event. [/QUOTE] I still think it looks like shit when everyone is wearing black uniforms.
Uh british wear red, French wear blue. Those pics are horrible.
Gave in and bought Mount and blade, And Warband...
Just bought the original Mount and Blade just for 1866. It better be good.
I just bought the complete pack because the game reminds me of a mod I used to play on steam. Installing Mount and Blade and Wardband at the moment, be ready in 30 minutes. Was wondering were I should start? I see people talking a lot about mods for the game but how easy is it to get them running and start playing them?
[QUOTE=Pandemix;29528601]Anybody got a list of good singleplayer mods for warband? There's alot on the repository and I don't want to search through them all. [editline]30th April 2011[/editline] Or are all of the good mods for the original mount and blade?[/QUOTE] Blood&Steel (fun, hundreds (literally) of new items, balance revamped, and a load of great tweaks) 1755 (No new features, but it has Muskets and a map of America) Europe 1200 (I hate 1257 AD, crashes every 30 minutes- this is more fun and bug free) Prophesy of Pendor (if you are hardcore and are willing to put in 300 hours on a single campaign) Sword of Damocles (Keeps native factions, and adds a whole new island with 5 new factions with new items) Bytenwalda (a less hardcore mod, but much more satisfying in the early game) Age of change (did a search, and i shat myself when I saw the quality of the 110 new items - also, troops are tweaked so the Rhodoks and such don't get fucked over anymore) Hundred years war (what it says on the tin- really fun.)
Prophesy of Pendor (if you are hardcore and are willing to put in 300 hours on a single campaign) I'm quite interested.
Well I was wrong, it took 5 minutes to install the games. I'll just play normal until I understand things about the mods and such.
[QUOTE=bionic0n3;29532378]Well I was wrong, it took 5 minutes to install the games. Unless you want to go and try some of the older mods that have yet to be ported over. (or will not be ported)
[QUOTE=Uberman77883;29531861]Uh british wear red, French wear blue. Those pics are horrible.[/QUOTE] It's not the images. It's that HDR setting or something. And i have the feeling it also has to do with the mod's tweaks.
Not at all. In mine it is perfectly clear to distinguish between uniforms.
Never liked mount and musket for some reason.
