Yeah I know graphics isn't everything but that's precisely why I play M&B, because of the gameplay. The combat system is awesome but I don't feel immersed, at all because the animations are horrible and the feel is bad not to mention the graphics. I would like the competetive feeling of a M&B duel with authentic realistic immersion.

That's how it was in the original M&B. I wish there was an option to switch between the banner and a name.

Battles look amazing without the floating banners, but if you have two mixed race armies then identifying enemies becomes a little iffy.

Also trying the WotR beta. Anybody get bad performance? The minimum specs on the steam page seem a bit ridiculous for what it is.

i get 7 fps. yet i get 60 on M&B

The bleed out system in WotR was an awful idea and they should get rid of it.

In WotR you have 10 seconds to run like fuck and hope either your team covers you or the enemy doesn't follow since the game is predominantly melee.

I bought the Napoleonic war DLC, and my god I haven't laughed that much for ages. Being a musician is so fucking hilarious.

I feel I'd enjoy wotr a lot more if my pc wasn't a piece of shit. I get about 10-20 fps :(

Then again though only like 1% of soldiers on the field should be wearing full plate, shit wasnt common at all. Havent had the opportunity to play wotr yet but it strikes me as one of these games where everybody and their grandmother has a set of full plate and yet it barely protects you at all.

In War of the Roses, I'm pretty fine with there being things like the Germanic plate armor and such, but I'd like if there were some more Halbreds and other weapons from around europe. Since WotR keeps it accurate with the Bill being a majorly used weapon by the British. It comes in three sizes in the game :v:

A group of about 12 hussars wiped out about half of my 30 or so infantry and captured me. We got 'em down to like 6. I escaped, re-engaged, killed 2, and they got me again. Escaped -again-, killed two and almost got the other two but they kept plinking me down. Escaped one last time and dropped the first one with one shot from my pistol, then the second one was just easy. I lost a lot of stuff. Morale was good after that, though. Playing without a horse has really made me better at combat. It's one thing to charge around in a giant circle and skewer people on a lance, but it's another to jump into a group and hack them all down with minimal damage coming back to you.

i think my refusal to ride horses in mount and blade has honed my skills for WotR, i get some brutal killstreaks at times.

Whenever I play Battle with my buddy in NW, we always go Russian line militia with pikes, and spend the round hunting cavalry. Infantry is the shit
