um ok I wouldn't actively shoot team mates who get into a 10 meter range of me that's kind of stupid and purposely team killing
um ok I wouldn't actively shoot team mates who get into a 10 meter range of me that's kind of stupid and purposely team killing
Atleast it prevents you from getting killed by a teammate and you can possibly go on and win the round for your team. There's so many times I've had perfect control of a fight, pretty much toying with my opponnent, about to deal the final blow, nope, get stabbed in the back by a teammate, get staggered, enemy hits me in the face, instant death, my shitty teammate proceeds to get humiliated then we lose everything.
I thought that was my post for a second because that's the exact description of at least 20% of my battle rounds. If you see somebody encroaching on your fight, either kill them, or back off from the fight and let them get killed because they are almost sure to pigstick you by accident. NW players who know what they are doing will be able to tell you have things under control, and they'll stay back. It's really bad when you're fighting with a sword, because a teammate will come up beside you trying to swipe the kill, and then your sword will either hit him on the follow through, or he'll outright blunt your swing if you try to attack left or right.

It could be 1v3 and I feel like I can take them, and some asshole on my team shows up and I die because I'm checking my swings, so I don't hit him.
Anybody want to join the Napoleonic Wars Regiment that I'm in? Add me up on steam if you're interested.
Good god I hate "find the deserters missions" I swear I just enacted a thirty man genocide against every deserter within the region, and still I haven't found the right one.
It'll be a different color...
It'll be a different color...
Yeah, just found with two days left to go. My 30 guys could easily destroy 15 deserter footmen. Except this time it was 21 Veteran Calvary. Oh my, I need practice.
I heartily recommend everyone to check out this M&B mod: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/board,187.0.html It combines Poe, Greek mythology, necromancy and other pretty twisted things. It's a very polished mod too and a new version was released today as well.
I hate the quests where you have to search and find a bandit lair, they're super hard to find you've gotta be so close to spot them and if you forget around which city to look well fuck you because the quest description isn't going to tell you.
Those ones are never that hard. I target those ones specifically because they give you tonnes of xp and a lot of money. If I stumble upon a bandit lair I always go and find the lord from the nearby town, and he'll give me the quest. Each city has a radius around it and the bandit lair will never be closer to another city so you'll know how big a range you need to look. Once you start seeing lots of bandits in a very small area you'll probably be near it.
Playing Prophecy of Pendor and I'm not encountering it. Not even sure if I'm in the right area cause I didn't properly read.
Doesn't it tell you which lord gave you the quest? you can just find his parent town
Doesn't it tell you which lord gave you the quest? you can just find his parent town
Oh you're right, good idea thanks
Jesus christ, how big is 1257? I'm downloading the SVN version on my laptop and going to transfer it to my desktop when I get home. It's already at a gigabyte, does it go any farther then that? [editline]11th September 2012[/editline] I'm asking that because my flash-drive can only hold 4 GB at a time, and it's going to be a pain in the buttocks to have to switch out, move, delete, rinse and repeat. [editline]11th September 2012[/editline] Nevermind, it'll fit on my flash-drive, it's not that big.
Have you tried the Europe 1200 mod yet? It recently updated so it has new graphics and some more factions. There's still some tolerable glitches (a gaping chasm in a part of the sea and GOD HELP YOU if you exit a Lord's hall by using the doors) It's definitely my favorite mod right now.
are there any good fantasy mods for warband? the best i could find was Prophecy of Pendor but i've already played through it alot and i want some new ones

You can cast magic and shit.
I really want there to be more fantasy mods. I've had enough with "realistic" mods.
I'd love a good mod based on the pen and paper RPG Exalted. That would probably take a a game on its own though :v:
I've been working on an elder scrolls mod for a bit now, making armors and textures and creating the factions and troops. Trying to get my programmer friend on board so I can make some serious progress, but he's being a sloth about it :[ Here's some old-ass images http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1179663&p=37282924&viewfull=1#post37282924
I'd like to see a WWI mod. It'd be like Nappy Wars but with bolt-actions.
ww1 would be awesome. but what about tanks?
ww1 would be awesome. but what about tanks?
planes would be hard to implement too
If you're a proud owner of the Original Mount&Blade

for warband
[editline]16th September 2012[/editline]
ww1 would be awesome. but what about tanks?
Maybe it could be early WWI. I would like to see pickelhaulbes anyways.

I agree with the sentiment that we need fantasy mods. Dwarven armies clashing with giant raiders in the middle of an Elven Glade. Please.
prophecy of pendor kind nailed with the serpent cult armies but it would be cool if you could start your own evil kingdom and sacrifice prisoners, turning them into zombified troops
So when does the mod take place?
The name was going to be "The Imperial Simulacrum" takes place in Third Era - 395 The backdrop was going to be that Uriel Septims's leadership gets widely called into question during the Jagar Tharn affair, and all the provinces break out into war. Takes place during the time of TES I: Arena [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] I guess if anybody here knows their way around the warband module system, I wouldn't mind having a scripter/coder on board if anybody is interested. Would make my job as the only team member a lot easier :v:

Not really sure, haven't got around to them yet so it's hard to say. Currently re-tooling the calradia factions/troops into tamriel factions, then I'll add the new ones. (high rock, summerset isles, black marsh) Apparently the orcs had no independence in 3E 395 so I might just make them part of the high rock faction
