YES PLEASE.
grrr, i hate teasers oh well, atleast its confirmed that its out
YES PLEASE.
Neato! Wonder what the time period will be.
No gameplay at all? Damn. Oh well, it's nice to hear the announcement, if it's still sandbox, it's an instant buy no matter what (given extreme conditions, maybe not, but if it's sandbox, it's got to be fun in some way)
If I could only add one new feature, it would be the ability to play campaign in Co-op. Having a friend as one of your companions would be amazing.
YES PLEASE.
Ow. Right in the wallet. Hope it doesn't bump up the minimum system requirements too much. With Fire & Sword already has some pretty long load times for me. Not, like, 'go take a shit and make a sandwich' load times. But for the amount of loading the game does, it's a pretty long time.
If I could only add one new feature, it would be the ability to play campaign in Co-op. what are the best combat improving mods for warband?
dude. fucking. im imagining a battle where your friend and you are back to back taking on a whole fucking horde of warriors. this needs to be a feature. now.
Would be even better if you could allow your friend to command a portion of the troops. Imagine the possibilities, you could get him to sneak out a back door during a siege and surround the enemy while they are still scaling the walls, or give him a detachment of archers during a field battle to provide ranged support from high ground.
Oh my fucking god. I want it now.
I wonder if they'll use the War of the Roses engine. Cause that would be fucking sweet.
I hope it just stays in Calradia. I found War of the Roses' engine to be clunky and slow, and it didn't feel as fluid when it came to blocking and attacking.
I just hope they improve hit detection, bring in more weapon stances and combat styles with weapons, fix 360 swings and improve speed on hitting.

Obviously, the combat would most likely be different, since War of the Roses has a DMish touch, but otherwise it's great. Then again, bitsquid is quite a simple engine. Something more complex would be better if the game will have a lot of new features. It does it's job exactly in WotR, but might have annoying limitations in M&B. After rethinking it, a more complex engine would probably be the better way to go. But please for the love of god, don't just keep the current engine. A New lands wouldn't be hurt either, honestly. There isn't really a reason why it should stay in Calradia specifically, it's basically just a name. As long as it follows a similar pattern, it'll be fine. A bit more lore and stuff like that would be awesome. Nothing exaggerated though.

And I hope they've realised they need a new engine by now :v:
I just hope they improve hit detection, bring in more weapon stances and combat styles with weapons, fix 360 swings and improve speed on hitting.
Hit detection and weapon speed were already pretty good, swinging a two handed sword while jogging around isn't exactly a quick motion. They definitely need to add some sort of inertia factor though so you can't do 360 attacks, that shit is really annoying and would account for almost all bullshit kills. Major +1 on the weapon styles though. I really loved how dane axes could be used two handed or as a polearm, more weapons need to have options like that.

In Mount & Blade 1 you conquered Calradia, now you can conquer the whole known world. Edit: Also I hope full blade becomes as OP as it should be but not invincible to blunt, some greatswords should also get a secondary attack mode where you hold the sword upside down by the blade and use the hilt as a club like in some medieval combat manuscripts.

Sarranid Sultanate has control of Tihr, and there's 180 nord huscarls in the garrison :suicide:
i hope MB2 takes a lot of inspiration from crusader kings 2
I've heard people talk about how using lighter/no armour should have more of an incentive than just a slightly faster run speed. Do you guys think rolling could work for players who have less then a certain weight equipped? Does it have a place in Mount and Blade?
Maybe we could be able to travel around, from Calradia to all the other landmasses.

We could have ships, other continents and there by a more complex EU/CK system. Though I hope for little to no sea-combat cause I find that boring.
Does it have a place in Mount and Blade?
Hell fucking no.
Maybe we could be able to travel around, from Calradia to all the other landmasses.
What would be cool, is that since you would travel between them, you could build forts in various spots as a nation. You could wake up one day, and go over and see that another nation is right on your door-step and in the mood for some extra land.

What I wouldn't mind seeing a sidestep dodging mechanic though, as long as there's a significant cooldown or something. On the other hand though, armor in M&B vanilla is nowhere near as good as it should be, from a realism standpoint. People didn't fork out the equivalent of $250,000 for a full suit of riveted mail just so they could receive half the damage from melee blows.
