Thank you for the advices! Is it a bug in Floris too that you seem to be able to leave every battle as soon you got knocked out as if you where helping another army when your party is actually the one that got attacked?
how do you plan on getting that many peasant women
>try to loot village >equip hammer >bludgeon every woman so they become unconscious >on captured prisoners screen take them into custody >use camp to ask prisoners if they want to fight for you >level them to Sword Sisters >feed them honey Congratulations you now have an army of kidnapped women in plate armour who love you.
You can rescue a crew of manhunters so they can help you out in the process. I think thats the only way to acquire the manhunter unit, by saving them from bandits.
Speaking of Manhunters, those guys are huge arrow magnets. I swear they don't wear any armor, regardless of their upgrade level.
I've been having some issues with the Rhodoks lately, so I'm going to train up some Swadian knights. Sword Sisters will have to wait unfortunately.
It's been so long since i have played old Vanilla. I heard the sarranids are the push overs who have no good troops and cant win any battles? I might try and win as them! Nope. I just looked and apparently they still have the best archers in the game.
Did anyone ever too think that Hired Blades are OP as fuck? I remember my first day in the Original M&B, i went to a tavern and hired like 8 of them. Then I proceeded to raid villages and fuck up every singe motherfucker standing up to me thanks to the Hired Blades.
They have a very high wage so it's pretty balanced. They cost more than huscarls iirc because they are mercenaries. [editline]6th October 2012[/editline] Their stats are about the same as the rhodok sergeant, but their armor is slightly worse.
And then Black Knights come and fuck you up, and thus, the force was once again balanced.
What black knights?
I think they're from a mod.
What black knights?
In the Original Mount & Blade there were bands of Black Knights, in special black armour, and they could pretty much own you severely. Though Native Expansion does have a Dark Knight Invasion, which i think is similar except in the original M&B they were just roaming bands.
In the native expansion they become an unstoppable tide, and they will eventually take over the map, there's like 6 or 7 bands of over 300 or 400 men all armoured and armed with the best weapons and equipment.

I played the western mod for the original mainly.
Woah, I didn't even know that. I played the western mod for the original mainly.
black knights and black khergits are removed from the game since 0.808 or something.
black knights and black khergits are removed from the game since 0.808 or something.
Well, I don't remember since when I've played M&B. I remember i saw some video of it on youtube and thought it was awesome. IIRC i found it on some site linking to Multiplayer games. So yeah.
I've been playing it ever since the first thread on fp.

We'll definitely expand the mod to include more features in the future. -New Factions; French Third Republic, German Empire -New Classes -New Weapons -New sounds for firing, shooting, and background music -Grenades with timer -Working whistles and binoculars -Attachable and detachable bayonets -Mortars, infantry support guns, and other short range artillery -Poison gas shells and gasmasks the mod is going to be running off Napoleonic DLC.
Good job with the helmet, it fit's right into M&B graphics. The sword seems a bit out of place graphic wise though. It's all bright and stuff.
Mod page is here; http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,244964.0.html I'm just trying to give the mod some spotlight, its a MP focused mod.
I honestly want an Ottoman ww1 game. I don't even think one exists.
I sure hope they use another crosshair than the standard one in M&B that seemed really annoying in the video.
Not sure if it's entirely related, but War of the Roses is fucking fun. I wish it had a singleplayer campaign; I Love the combat system.
Not sure if it's entirely related, but War of the Roses is fucking fun. I wish it had a singleplayer campaign; I Love the combat system.
It is really awesome, the only thing that bothers me is the way the directional combat is different to M&B. It is much less viable and convenient for one simple game mechanic change: In M&B, when you click attack or block it does so in the direction you last moved your mouse. In WoTR, when you click attack or block you have to move your mouse just after and it will recognize. This means sometimes if you don't move your mouse properly it won't attack or block at all, and even when it does it's every so slightly late which means blocking a quick incoming attack is barely possible. It's also easier to strafe your opponent as you can do in Warband, make a right attack, go left he will have to move his view to the other side to block and if he overdoes it he will be way out of direction to block. In WoTR this is much more viable which leads to the stupid movement in combat. Because of this I p much always use a shield in WoTR, but other than that it's so damn good.
One companion seem to follow me when walking in a city now. That is kind of strange. Also, the horse archery skill number have a red number for whatever reason and it seem that the skill is one lower than what it actually is. EDIT: The red number thing comes from Floris if you have too heavy armor. Figured it out now. And desert armies have black khergits for whatever reason.

I also remember starting in Zendar and you couldn't kill the NPCs in the town with melee weapons, but you could with ranged weapons.
Just got like 30k in taxes from a recently received castle. Is that a normal amount?
Not sure if it's entirely related, but War of the Roses is fucking fun. I wish it had a singleplayer campaign; I Love the combat system.
Story time. So I was playing yesterday and I hadn't been since the beta had 10x xp. Had the level 1 stuff and was playing conquest. The game lasted 30 minutes and I couldn't harm anyone with plate unless they had their visor open so I was just reviving and dying for 30 minutes and getting a decent score regardless. Turns out, they had the fucking stat and xp servers down and I got nothing for it. I love the game, but the start of it is just horrendous.
