How to fix:(
My secure connection thing is set to 0 which seems to be the only fix, but I still get this error. I've verified and everything.
I just finished installing this and goddamn it's good! Thanks a lot for showing me this!
I kinda wish it had been made for With Fire and Sword too, since WFAS has much better command controls for a group of riflemen.
anyone here part of a regiment? I want to try some line battles in napoleonic wars, but the pubs are too unorganized.

I'm ina Regiment, added you on steam to talk about it.
FUCK WOTR
the game is so fucking unplayable
seriously you cant have ONE FUCKING MATCH without the entire other team being clad in full platemail with the scottish sword
completely kills the fun in the entire game
So many of the main weapons feel unblanaced, the Warhammer, Scottish Sword and the polearm axe things.

I'd rather have Warband's campaign mechanics than FaS's battle commands though.
It could still be possible to mod in commands though, right? I recall a mod in the Floris pack doing so.
So in 1257 AD I'm having my own private mercenary war against the English with my Welsh bowman character and my bigass war party of saethydds.
The French have this gigantic 2000-man siege of Dover castle, then the English roll in with about 1500 men and they have this series of massive battles. Both sides basically get destroyed and scatter, then I waltz over to Dover castle and basically told the remaining 20 guardsmen to get out of my castle and they are like "ok :("
Now there's this tiny little welsh castle sitting between the monstrous england and france territories :v:
I decided to piss off the Cossack Hetmanate and burn villages.
Then I offered to make peace with the leaders. They said they'd forgive me for 21,576 thaler.
Time to go burn more villages of theirs. [sp]To fund their forgiveness.[/sp]
To the kind player who helped me use the Rocket Launcher in a multiplayer game,
I'm sorry I used your instructions to accidentally kill off three of my team-mates. You should have said something about the rocket's really extreme arc.
Sincerely,
Staying on Foot
So I'm playing Napoleonic Wars, and so its me, as a fifer, and five random dudes who decide to hold up in a building. We suddenly become the last people left on our team, and twelve enemy fighters were closing in on our building. As they storm up one by one, we kill them, one by one. We get eight of them until we all die, but I was fifing the whole damn time. Fifing saves lives, trust me.
God, I wish there was some kind of Mount & Blade combined with Sid Meiers Pirates kind of game. That would be a wet fucking dream.
I know there are those Akella games but they are... eh.

There might be some unspoken of mod that fixes most of it's flaws, but knowing Russian made games, the mod is probably hidden somewhere on some barely known russian fileshareing site, in russian language, and a bitch to install.
Alright, Maybe I'm comparing it a bit too much to Stalker, but you get the drill.
Wasn't there some game supposed to be comming up from a dev of M&B?

The team that made With Fire and Sword is making a pirate/ship mount and blade game right now. There are rumors of broadsides, boardings, and amphibious assaults.
I hope it's going to be good.
If you have the original M&B, you really must try the TLD mod if you haven't already, it's fucking awesome, hell, it even has its own cinematics!

My save corrupted after almost completely destroying Isengard and the Dunlendings :(

Thinking of buying the original only for that mod. Would it be worth it? Can you play as an uruk?

Yep, you can play as an Uruk. and yeah I'd say its worth buying, since you also can then get a ton of mods for the first M&B.
Really good mods, too.

You should also find an archived version and try yoshiboy's pirates or onin no ran.
It's so good (atleast in my memory) that it's worth playing even though its for an old version of an old game.
-incorrect thread-
Just purchased the game. Anything I should know before I begin?

Cavalry are OP.
Cavalry are OP.
That must be why I get my ass handed to me by the steppe bandits.
I swear I try to build an army so I can join the Khergit Khanate but them bandits just keep me down :(
You have to go in with a force big enough to keep them away from you, and slowly build up Khergit troops. If you want to train them, go into Swadian/Rhodok territory for forest bandits, then into Nord territory for sea raiders. The raiders have decent armor and weapons, so you should probably wait until your troops have some experience unless you don't mind losing some.
My friend is picking the game back up in preparation for HotS. We played Battlecraft, which we used to be amazing at, for the first time in ages. Win two games over this guy, vote for Bo5. He starts shit talking about how we use the same push over and over and it's shit and he beats us on the third game and says "gg scrub." We squash him in game 3 and he ggs and we both say "gg scrub"
I love bringing justice to shit-talking assholes
Every thread I post in is the correct thread.
Been playing 1257 AD lately, my character is currently on leave from the Holy Roman Empire to do some crusading in the Holy Lands. There was a massive 1500vs1800 battle the first time the Crusaders and Saracens met, and the Crusaders lost, with me and my companion Henry captured. When I escaped, I attacked the party I just escaped from, because it only had 6 men left and was in the middle of nowhere (idiot), although the Amir got away. I then went to Jerusalem and broke out my companion Henry and the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order from the prison there.

Another thing you'll love is with Uruks and Orcs, you can turn your prisoners into food.
