I just finished downloading, I'll tell you if they did.
Wouldn't surprise me if they couldn't. The map is both huge, and has a lot of areas.

Well. The faces are unnecessarily "Detailed"
Ultra realistic textures and such.

How does the 'lance' recruitment system work?
Never mind, google came to the rescue.
I'll answer anyway :v:
It's a levy system that's basically squads.
You have your squadleader (noblemen, squire, cav unit basically), some archers, and footmen. You make the town happy and improve them, they give you more levys.
[editline]30th November 2012[/editline]
Wait I was mistaken, a lance replenishes every week, and the more you make the town prosper, the better the troops are when picked up.
My favorite thing about the system is how it changes the garrison structure.
Garrisions are now determined by a general amount set, and then it adds the units automatically and deducts it from each weeks pay.
I don't bother with the lances unless I need to pull off some ridiculous last stand to defend my village.
I just recruit assloads of mercenary gall-oglach, welsh longbowmen, brabantine mercenaries, etc. The specialized mercenaries can really rape face

I think you can turn that off in the mod options
I recently bought this, And am working with the Vaegirs. I am trying to make myself a Vassal, But the king won't let me. I killed 2 enemy armies and helped siege 2 castles, What else do I need to do?

I think your personal standing with the faction leader matters as well. You might need to do some work for him personally before you can join.

Could you expand? Does it still have that odd waiting period when leaving a city? I.E leaving a city menu back to the map took a good 10-15 seconds.

When you travel by Control + Space.
It used to go at like 6 fps, now it's smooth.
Man, I worked hard adding in a weapon for that mod, now I have to re add it or play without it.
(It was a pain in the ass because I had to modify the text files to get it to work. It was a revolver. It had a cool muzzle-flash and everything, full functionality.)
Even though it's a "Final release", there still needs to be a lot of work done.
The longbow animations are bugged, the string doesnt follow the handmovement, the aragon helmets that resemble the Norman helmets have no textures on the facepart.
That's what I've noticed so far within the hour.
I really like the 1 on 1 tournaments.
Holy crap, I just got my ass handed to me by The Pope. I've been trouncing everybody in the single tournaments, but I didn't even get a hit on the pope. My mace bounced off his religiously-decroated coat of plates and then he rocked my shit like he was Suaron or something.
I'd totally be a catholic if pope Bendict XVI could dish out that much pain with a longsword.
Nothing like seeing a sixty year old Italian man fly off a horse mid-battle only to stand back up and slaughter a dozen men-at-arms with a two handed sword.

what is this mod, i must know what mod allows you to get your shit handed to you by the pope
1257AD I assume. Funny that Västervik is on there on the map. Maybe it was a big important city once in time, now it is a shithole.

Well. I guess he did at one time. Benedict was a nazi.

OH man. This shouldn't make me excited, but I'm really happy that in 1257, they finally fixed the Bill.
It was flipped the wrong way before and I just thought that my men were stupid when they were using it.
[editline]3rd December 2012[/editline]
How to start yourself up in 1257, and to feed your army.
First, buy a lance and a fast horse.
Go do one on one tournaments and bet 500.
If you lance the opposite horse, then turn around and lance the guy. You should easily get 12k from each tournament.

Anyway, I hope that the Dev releases the mod files.
There could be a lot done with the plethora of empty space that areas such as Georgia have.
Eh, M&B is a bit limited in that regard. They've already really pushed the limits of how much you can feasibly have on the world map
And I understand that. I'm extremely satisfied with the huge amount of space there is, the empty areas in places like Georgia just kinda gets me thinking.
Beta for MnB Caribbean is out soon.
yes.

Georgia is refferenced though. You can hire georgian mercenary cavalry in turkey
The stat equivalent of men at arms and armigers, but with better weapons and better riding skills

That's the ship battle one right?
Made by the guys who developed WFaS?
Hopefully it's not an awful rolepalying game this time around.
OK, so, my companion was doing poorly in battle, dying every single time and I seriously wondering what was up, she had sword + shield and crossbow + bolts, and she had high proffeciency in both, was a considerable level in both and had good armor and weapons. I decided to follow her in battle to see what's the problem and uh...

she has been using her fists
this entire time
oh my god
Never give companions two types of weapons.
I mean, sword and shield and archery.
If you're going to do that, give them a two handed axe or something.
Most of the time, horsemen dont even use the swords and only use lance.
[editline]4th December 2012[/editline]
Also. Legit man?
You gave a cavalry person a crossbow?
i mean
its like, all my companions have horses
dont judge me
Anybody else play CRPG mod?
Probably the best multiplayer mod.
Just kind of sad that it doesn't get its full 140player servers that it used to. (usually ~90 at peak times).

I stopped playing because it sucks, the balance is garbage, everyone's ego is through the god damned roof making it highly unpleasable to play and 95% of the playerbase are abusing some sort of broken game mechanic such as feint/animation spazzing until the engine breaks so hard that they stop making sense or hiltslash spamming or they just spam left to right with their MW elite scimitar constantly and it's too fast for you to do anything but block and die of boredom and old age IRL.
Probably the best multiplayer mod, sure, does it mean it's good? No.
once I conquer all of pendor (only empire atm) I think i will play 1257, it looks like it's gotten so much better? any confirmation on this?
i played it for the first time and was fucking blown away at it all.
I love the fact that you can wear priest robes as an "armor" choice. making a new character with the title "the Pious" and I'm just going to get a band of warriors to go down to the Muslim world to fuck shit up for Catholicism
talking about AD 1257 ofc lol
One thing that's really irking me in 1257 though is that they left in that thing from warband where some random nobles dislike you at the beginning of the game because you're a lesser noble, etc.
So some dickbag Irish noble just keeps traveling 2000 miles across the ocean to raid my village in the ass-end far north of Norway, then he just up and fucking leaves right afterwards and goes all the way back to Ireland and comes back a month later to raid my village again. It's driving me nuts becuase I specifically picked Norway so I could have some out-of-the-way village that nobody would bother raiding.

I like the weapon damage feature, but
