It should be a final version, but they still need to do a lot of patching. Am I the only one who sees the longbow animations bugged? Like the string goes back farther than the hand.
It's bugged but it's a pretty minor thing, you only really notice it when viewing outfit [editline]8th December 2012[/editline] May have something to do with the "combat enhanced" bow animation
I like the weapon damage feature, but *image of a cracked javelin*
I think that there is an option for that in the camp section: go to camp, select mod option, uncheck the weapon breaking orsomethinglikethat. Anyway, the AI shield bashing really adds up to the difficulty when you have to fight against multiple enemies (sieges, bad luck, ...): instead of just plowing your way through the shield wall, you get a shield to the face, fall down, and weeps silently while the AI stomp you in the head, taking nearly half your health in a single strike.
You gave a cavalry person a crossbow?
Don't underestimate X-bow cav
The chivalry thread has inspired me to learn how to become a badass at Mount and Blade multiplayer, not sure how but it happened. If someone wants to teach me, please PM. I accept being criticized.
What do you guys play your game on? I have mine on everything set to normal damage, normal combat speed, manual lance, difficulty is said to be like 103 %
everything set to very hard.
Don't underestimate X-bow cav
They really aren't very good, very slow to load on horseback and you can only use the lightweight ones. Unless POP does something differently.
just thought of something why has noone ever thought to make a dualwielding mod?
Because it doesn't really have a possible way to implement it.
They really aren't very good, very slow to load on horseback and you can only use the lightweight ones. Unless POP does something differently.
At least you can move while reloading x-bows. Okay, I have created an own kingdom that consists of one castle and one town. Now what? I am not in war with anyone. If I was, all my lords are so weak that we would loose everything.
so, in an attempt to keep this thread alive, here is my current PoP game:
I am not so much for role play, but at least I want a freaking crown now when I am king. Ideas how to get a crown?

it's been a while since they announced Bannerlords, when are they going to release some media?
there was already a bit of footage about bannerlord from before it was announced on some gameshow (which i saw a clip from) it showed improved character creation with fatness sliders and such but iirc not much else also i heard somewher that they want to improve the combat and make it more realistic, add parries for example.
Has Floris made any progress lately?
Got my roomates hooked on Napoleonic wars, any time someone comes into the sitting room now all you can hear is them spamming the C key.
I haven't played Warband in a while, have there been any really decent mods in the past couple of months that'd be worth reinstalling it again? [editline]17th December 2012[/editline] I used to play a lot of Prophecy of Pendor

[editline]17th December 2012[/editline] I used to play a lot of Prophecy of Pendor
Depends on what you're looking for. 1257 is one of the best total conversions.
A total conversion's probably the way to go, I'm really just looking for something that breathes some fresh life into the game while still keeping things fun. I'll check out 1257 though, been a while since I played it.
I don't know about you guys but 1257 is just...too big...
It lags even my computer, which is why I don't use it
It doesn't lag on the map anymore, it still does a little bit, it's noticeable I guess, but it just feels like, anything you do has absolutely no impact on the game. you could take 3 cities and you'd just be 1 nation of medium-small size among the 50 other ones.
I'm a sucker for medieval history, especially historically authentic stuff 1257's downloading now.
last time i played 1257 it looked like butt the only thing i could describe it with was "butt", dunno how it is now though

England in one of my saves wiped out the Irish, the Scotish, and the French. Talk about a change in history :v: [editline]18th December 2012[/editline]
last time i played 1257 it looked like butt the only thing i could describe it with was "butt", dunno how it is now though
If the last time you played it was more than a month ago, you should give it another go.
thanks for the heads up, i'll give it a try when i get my gaming computer back up
If you only played the .95 executable 1257 then yeah it was pretty terrible. The svn version was a mark improvement and now they've added a huge armor pack with all this maciejowski bible stuff
I don't know about you guys but 1257 is just...too big...
[sp]thats not what she said[/sp] For mount and blade, there is no such thing.
