Mount&Blade (Warband too) thread V. Knights of Calradia

So I capture a Vaegir castle literally all by myself, because the garrison only had like 50 average dudes and I had like 80 high-level Rhodok troops, so I thought why not. I thought capturing the castle by yourself warrants getting to keep it, but I guess not. I got a message from King Graveth saying
"Yeah so basically normally I would give you this castle and stuff, but uh I like this other count better, so fuck you. Here's 500 denars to cover the costs for the couple dozen Rhodok Sharpshooters that died in battle."
I very nearly renounced my oath, but I decided I'd just get back at him later.
can someone tell me how to acquire lesser knights/men-at-arms in 1257 ad?
Buh, Is there a way to change Warband's horse combat? I liked the original's horse combat better, It flet more fluid, I can't stand the jerkiness of Warbands.

Man at arms are "Homo Armatus" and basically any european fief will give out the nobleman cavalry units that you can upgrade into them. Most cavalry trees go| Serf Horseman > Man at Arms > Armiger/Squire > Knight
Companies of Georgian heavy cavalry are basically on par with Armigers in terms of stats and pay, you can recruit them in Ilkhanate towns.

Recruit from castles if you're using vanilla recruitment. If you're using lances, they will just be part of a lance.
Maybe next year for halloween I'll dress up like a Viking and speak only in sea raider quotes
I WILL DRINK FROM YOUR SKULL

using english translation, they're called man at arms
Wargs are sold at the supply stores throughout mordor and such. Be forewarned that uruks can't ride wargs, unless you get the "giant warg" or whatever it's called as a special item from the mouth of sauron.
If you can get up to the riding requirement of 5 for the giant warg then the thing is a galloping rape machine
mouth of sauron, is that like a wal mart or something
Has anyone tried out the Clash of Kings mod for Warband?
It sounds really cool, but I want to know what someone else thinks of it before I play.

Wait, is the Middle Earth mod on Warband? Last I saw of it it was sort of left for dead on the original M&B.

They're still updating it, and no I don't think there's an official Warband release.
They're not porting to warband because they spent years devving it for M&B and then warband came out so they have something against warband.
Secondly TLD is too unstable to even play dedicated.
The only way you can have fun in TLD is if you cheat so that you can fight as much stuff as possible before you inevitably crash on like day 5.
Though I haven't played any recent patches. It seems Merlkir started developing it again. Did they finish Moria yet?
I still stand that Expanded Gameplay II v.94 for .963 (I think that was the M&B version) is the best mod to ever come around.
honestly m&b warband was what mount & blade version 1.0 should have been.
it wasn't too big of a stretch to pay another around 20 euros but it was slightly disappointing that they finished their game only as a standalone expansion at the full price of the original.
warband was worth the price in the end though.
Hopefully M&B 2 is NOT what Warband was to M&B.
We need some new shit mang.

It's not the most stable mod I've ever played, true, but the last patch is pretty damned stable. I don't know about the latest one, I haven't updated and probably won't since I need some more room for other stuff, but I assume it's about the same.

Warband wasn't really a sequel though, it's basically just a more polished and professional version of M&B
For 1257 do I need to download the 0-97-1 patch along with the main installer?

Yes or else you get some attractive lady faces in your game
Anyone know any mods for Warband in the same sense, I like Warband singleplayer campaign but it's a bit boring now I want a new setting, like Prophecy of whatever, I liked that mod. Any like it?
Blood & Steel v1.5 released, and it's as glorious as ever.
I highly recommend blood and steel. Goddamn it is so fun.
Play a barbarian because it's really fun being able to wade into a battle and get 200 kills under your belt at any time.

I suggest you don't download A Clash of Kings, its very unstable.
It's unstable, but it's still a good mod if you like the setting. It's very big and has two continents.

I mean unstable as in my game freezes whenever I see an enemy.
But Ill try out Blood and Steel, it sounds cool.
Oh. I just meant that it has a lot of bugfixing to do :v:. The mod is honestly one of the more complete mods that I've seen.

Brytenwalda and the Roman sub mod are fucking excellent, the only problem is that they're basically new games on the same engine and play differently.
Roman submod? Eh?
Imperium Romanum
