I was playing in it. It's fine so far. Just kinda rushy since it lacks things like barricades.
its fun I just think baricades would be nice and maybe bigger maps like Osgiliath [editline]21st January 2013[/editline] also the class system NW has, because some Gondor fiefdom ranks would be great.
I started up a new game of with fire and sword and I'm trying to start one of the main quests. All the factions are at war with each other but no one has any armies so theres no way for me to get involved. Anyone know how I can fix this?

having 5 senior knights in your party, while expensive, I think is worth it. I have yet to have a senior knight die, and they get maybe 50-60% of the kills I don't get myself.

There's always that awful drudge when going all infantry where you need to charge a wall of archers or chase down the last few people who spend 5 minutes fleeing the map. My senior knights always end up getting wasted by welsh archers, a lance to the back, or sergeant gisarmes simply cutting them in half (figuratively), so I tend to avoid sending them out into battle because cavalry in M&B are incredibly cavalier, reckless and dumb [editline]21st January 2013[/editline] mod is 1257 ad
OK, I'm sick of being bad at MP in this game. I know that it has a steep learning curve but I've been playing for 6 months and I still feel like a toddler sometimes.

I aim to eventually get them some heavy gear so they can act as knights without the massive wage or the risk of death.
Another good method is to give all your guys coats of plates and arm them with like a glaive and 3 bags of throwing spears. I had like 8 companions decked out in that and they'd be able to totally wreck the enemy cavalry charge, and the constant barrage of throwing spears would almost always kill a good portion of the infantry so they'd always rack up lots of XP
Did they remove the looting feature? I don't seem to be able to keep weapons I pick up off the ground.

My cav has just never lost a fight for me yet.

Every such treasure has a key in it to finding the only great and true treasure in the Caribbean sea. [B]Underground fights[/B] — we considered comments regarding lack of tournaments in WFaS and decided to add this gameplay element in Caribbean! in a bit different form. Underground fights is a series of random events in the cities’ taverns. You’ll fight on a special arena using any weaponry including firearms. And you’ll have to fight with only what you have at that moment. [B]Refined boarding system[/B] — we added a new battle phase where ships are closing in. In this phase ships fire at each other at almost point-blank distance, crew can be killed in the process and the player may help his team by shooting at enemy from his ship’s cannon. We added a possibility of shooting from a ship’s mast. This way you won’t have to deal with melee battles if you don’t want to. We also hope to add a special type of cannons that would take the role of taking these snipers down in return. [B]We’re redoing character models[/B] — what can we do? Even for indie projects graphics requirements are getting high. We hope that the latest models will become final.

Is there any mods that update Warband or WFaS to the Napoleonic era or anything close to it?
yes there is the Napoleonic Wars DLC which is MP and there is a SP version
