So are the nations still the same in F&S? And how are the new siege maps?

Different, factions are now around the east of Europe (Poland, Ukraine etc)

No. The Nations in F&S are based on mid 1600s eastern Europeans. With Sweden added in. And the new siege maps have more then ONE FUCKING LADDER!!!
You bastard. :ninja:

More than.
The factions are Poland, Sweden, Moscow, Cossacks and Crimea. I think that's all of them anyway.
Man just played this for like 3 hours and I must say I am not impressed.
- Guns suck and takes forever to reload. They are basically just there for your troops and your enemies. You're not supposed to use a gun unless you want to be bored all the time.
- I don't see this 'campaign' it was talking about in the gametrailer videos. Its basically do whatever the fuck you want with no story line.
- This feels like a Warband with guns and new map. Not much different from the old game.
Also to get troops you hire them at mercenary camps. Except the thing is, they can't upgrade so they stay with the suffix (recruit) no matter how much experience you get for them.
and
Salt is usually found in the Swedish kingdoms which is ofcourse half a map away (it'll never be close to your quest giver).
Is there anywhere that details all of the strengths and weaknesses of each army?
i don't like WF&S all that much. guns are too powerful, especially on hard mode (1 shot kills every fucking time). i might give this another try later, but for now, im going back to regular M&B
Just tried WF&S. The multiplayer is pretty fun. I didn't see much wrong with it, but I've never seen so much complaining in my life. It was like a 170 person bitch-fest, and not the good kind. People using swords complaining that guns are too powerful. People using guns were complaining that the guns took too long to reload. And of course the people throwing grenades into their own spawn areas didn't help, though that only happened once or twice.
Duh ofcourse guns take long to reload, they're really powerful. If they were fast, you'd go 1 vs 10

yeah I don't think guns in the 1600s were semi automatic honey
Fuck you warband. I accidentally picked realistic saving. I got taken prisoner 3 hours in. Oh well I restarted and got an army of 29

I wont be tuning in on your opinion anyway, mister "Brink is just a borderlands clone"

The campaign is supposed to kick in 1/3 into the game, or they say. And you can choose 3 different campaigns.
Multiplayer in F&S is pretty fun. I keep getting my shit slapped though
I like Warband. I feel I need to restart 24/7 to get the full experience.
It's fun to setup a wagon defense, find some bandits, line up your marksman with rifles, tell them to hold fire, wait for enemies to approach, order to fire at will.
BAM half the enemy army dead.
any good mods for the original mount and blade?
I like the 1866 mod.
Well, I am severely disappointed. Blood and Steel and 80% of other mods outshine this.
I heard Native Expansion is pretty boss.
Oh my god multiplayer is so much fun.
Uh has anyone had the glitch where you throw a grenade and it kills like 5 of your soldiers that are like 300 yards away?
How do you recruit volunteers in 1866? I try to recruit but they say that I have no right to recruit volunteers.
How do you unlock more weapons in MP? Or are different weapons restricted to different armies?
Not sure about multiplayer f&s yet. Singleplayer surprised me a couple times tho, but it's hard as hell to level up.
Only thing i thing i find stupid right now is that pistols are more useful than muskets, and bows are snipers.
Oh and the imbalanced multiplayer maps. Those are stupid too.
Just a question. I'm new to Mount and Blade and I'm either planning on getting Fire and Sword or Warband. Which is better and why?
i cant find any god damn salt
Hah, I did eventually when I went to the other side of the map on a different quest, cost me like 700 in total for the 3 bags but the village payed me 900 for the quest so wasn't too bad.
That new gamemode that came with WF&S is AMAZING. You get to control 10 AI people (per player) in a team battle. I just did a round where my friend had a bunch of musketmen, while I chose pikemen, and while I held the line from the enemy (Horsemen, etc), my friend provided me with fire support.
Basically the only way across the mapwide valley was a bridge, which I completely clogged up with my pikemen, making it slim pickings as the winged hussars were getting pricked to death left and right.
Apparently my friend thinks "Mount And Blade: With Fire and Sword" is a silly name :v:
