Hey guys I've been home sick all day and was wondering- if I were to buy this game which looks totally awesome- which one I should get. I usually stick to the vanilla versions of games but I see Warband in there too. Is the complete pack worth it?

the old m&b is only worth getting if you plan on playing old mods.

I think if you want to just test it out go for Warband, it have some stuff that should've been in the first one and I thought it was kind of difficult to go from the first one to warband and then with fire and sword. I would reccomend the complete pack if you think that you're going to want more than one game. Question about With fire and sword, how do I get troops that are a particular faction? I can only seem to buy from the mercenaries camp, and not recruit from any villages. If this is not the way to get troops that are for example Swedish then how do I do?

Why mod a mod?

To fix what's broken. There a bunch of things that could be balanced more. Also, anyone else get lag on multiplayer wf&s? I get like 11 latency and still experience lag to the point my character skips animations.

How long does it take for lords to build up armies? And how do I recruit lords from other places? And do I have to give them fiefs right?

I personally have noticed overhead cleaves and the like seem to do more damage - though that might just be due to troops with weak helmets opposing me. Interesting.

I am not sure about critical damage, but most people don't wear helmets that match their body armor. Especially with a pike or other stabby weapons headshots are the way to go. Also because the stab animation is harder to spot.

I have to ask, how useful are polearms in singleplayer and what are some good ones to use? Im planning to use polearms on this character.

It sounds like a good idea if you can find a really long one so you can stab the enemy mob while your units have a go at them.

King offers me a village, after enough wars, building of trust and stuff I try to dethrone him. Lose. Get kicked out, lose everything but skills/factories. End up creating a army that rapes every village/trade caravan/etc in his nation in revenge. What's not to like.

I have every single hero, though 2 are lords right now, but as soon as I recruit lords from other nations, they are coming back to my party.

I'm playing the 100 years war mod and the fucking English/French ended the war on the second day. I want to attack the French and provoke a war, but the last time I did that, the king threatened to charge me with treason. So I'm just running around killing bandits, hoping they go to war again.

Every NPC's party is so ragtag. mine only has members from my faction, in this case nords.

Question: Which is superior--many low-level units or a few high level units? And don't say "lots of high-level units" because that's a recipe for losing all of your money.
