Damn I have a problem. I've been courting lady Aesa when I was still unknown. So I always went with the Nurse. Now I'm probably the most powerful Vassal of the Nords, and am on about 30 to her Brother, Jarl Turregor, but this dick still won't let me marry that bitch. How much favor of him do I need?

And I don't want him to hunt me down.
i wouldnt totally bash with fire and steel, it does improve on some aspects of vanilla warband. although, paying 15 bucks is sort of a punch in the gut.
[QUOTE=The Aussie;29793778]Maybe i should purchase With fire and whatever. Is it better then warband?[/QUOTE]
it's different but don't play it expecting it to be an extension of warband

is there any strategy to placing production buildings or is it just velvet factories everywhere?

Next, I remember having an option in some other language, it said something that offended him and i had to challenge him to a duel.

Velvet factories everywhere except Curaw and one Rhodok city, Veluca was it?
Curaw is for tools/iron.
They should add caravans to warband. Remove producable goods and make it so you can only get those by building those upgrades in towns.
The town enhancements in fire and sword are awesome
Are there any modifications to Warband that allows you to customize towns/castles/villages such as when you build something it appears on the map or something?
I'd love a mod allowing you to make towns out of Villages, and build new settlements in the first place.
So instead of only War, it would be an Economy game too.

Custom Settlements mod went pretty close to that.
[QUOTE=Antary;29799294]Custom Settlements mod went pretty close to that.[/QUOTE]
But it's not for warband iirc. :smith:

But are there any mods that allow customization (If even marginal) of settlements in Warband?

I think there was a mod called Diplomacy that let you do some extra things in villages/towns/castles and stuff.
Prophesy of Pendor is so fun.
The Empire has the coolest looking shit.
Mount & Musket, eh? I'll try it out.

adds stuff like non-aggresion pacts, mutual defensive pacts, embargos (i think), ultimatums and loads more
it seems pretty cool but i like the simplicity of warband and undoing wars you didn't even see coming is all the fun of warband

i only just realised winning a tournament increases party size by 1, i'm just going round winning tournaments now
Actually it's the renown you get from winning the tournament, 20 by default I think. You gain a new party slow every 25 renown points.
Mount & Musket is neat. There's even organized clans forming lines and such on the bigger servers.
Only problem is, how do I hit anyone at long range with the musket?
Luck and keep shooting you'll hit someone eventually.
i got slayed by an admin because at the end of a round i shot a teammate for giggles, what
[editline]13th May 2011[/editline]
then he was typing in caps and shit

I tried that, for some reason I couldn't carry over my save file.
[editline]13th May 2011[/editline]
Oh wait nvm.
[editline]13th May 2011[/editline]
Is there any mod so that I can make some kind of custom soldiers for my faction? Or at the very least, pick which soldiers spawn where inside it.

You don't.
It's a common misconception that mount & musket is a mod based around muskets.
The mod is relies heavily on cold steel combat.
Pretty much like real line battles. They tried to get as many shots off possible before charging.
It might make it easier to know this little fact: At range they expected 1 in 100 to actually hit a person.
I often completely skip the shooting phase and just stab the motherfucking pussies.
Or beat them to death with a flute that always works.
I wish my horse units had smarter AI, they often decide to run into a group of enemies and sit there while the enemies beat them to death.
Atleast mamlukes have a lot of health.
Horses tend to get blocked in easily by other units. But yeah, if cavalry AI was tweaked to make the most of the speed advantage, they would rape everything.
25 Dollars, Fire and sword, then buy some key's in tf2 for shit's and giggles?
[editline]14th May 2011[/editline]
Yay, 5 paints.
[editline]14th May 2011[/editline]
I Done it, brought it. Was probably the wrong choice, but the new features look good.
If you think keys are worth it wf&s is also worth it..
Whenever I head into a battle with a good number of cavalry in my party, they always end up taking the beating with the highest amount of killed/wounded that overshadows my infantry and musketeer causalities tolls all the time. It gets aggravating seeing 12 Swedish reiters get cut down to a force of 3 every battle.
Try ordering them to charge and then calling them back and having them charge again. I've found that cavalry gets about 1-2 good hits in before they get bogged down in groups of infantry, so it's best to keep them from staying in one place too long.
