I can support my weekly costs with about 5 mills, which I have. My party's not very big yet V:v:V Also, am I right in thinking that only blunt damage can knock non-hero enemies unconscious? I need some prisoners.
Nope.
Could I use just blood and steel and diplomacy?
Probably not, but Blood and Steel might already have many Diplomacy features in it.

Do enterprises help improve the economy of the town you put them in? Because I'm at that point where I don't care about money anymore.
Any tips for making money in warband? can't find any tourneys and i want to make a few thousand for my town upgrades
Pillaging is always a reliable way to make money, as is having enterprises in towns.
Whenever I try to pillage a town a massive army shows up and rapes face, but I can't buy more guys without money. It's an endless cycle!

used half my money on a kick-ass scottish broadsword, walk out the town and get attacked by 40 deserters, they capture me and its gone immediately :saddowns: [editline]17th May 2011[/editline] I can usually destroy a force of that many single-handedly, I just had 20% health
So, right now, when I enter a battle, I position my marksmen, set my infantry to charge not too far away from the marksmen, set my cavalry to flank them, and then I ride around the battlefield shooting/slashing random easy targets while everyones troops spread out and fight. Sometimes someone gets my horse, and I am immediately swarmed. Or I find another horse and keep killing. What do you guys do?

What do YOU do meanwhile?
have a wank
I ride in front of the line of infantry and hold an inspirational speech in my mind, then I join the cavalry in assaulting them from behind, no homo.
