Start in Sargoth, rape Sea Raiders for equipment, find Lady Isolla of Suno and take back Swadia.
Do this for every kingdom until there are no original kings left, and then start your own faction and take over them all.
Bought the game and been playing alot over the past few days. Finally got to a Vassal of Swadia, and have a force of about 50 people. Mostly Knights and Cavarly.
Where do I go from here though? I mean yeh I could keep leveling up and saving for more equipment, but is there any other big steps I could take?
But yeh, I'm loving this game. Crazy fun.

Make sure you have max upgraded troops, about 50 should do and then you go to a castle of the enemies of the faction you are working for and besiege it. Take it and then hope that you get it because it's hella fun to run a castle.

Fight for the glory of Swadia until you get plenty of renown, money, a wife, a high level (this is important) and most importantly, the adoration of every lord in the kingdom.
Then split off and form your own faction, preferably after crushing another nation into a one town weakling during your vassal days (this is so you aren't still at war once you form your own kingdom.)

I will do that!
I became a vassal of the nords in less then an In-game week and my group consists of 12 Nord Veterens. Right now I'm in the training field turning some recruits into warriors for king ragner.
Where would I find Lady Isolla?
I just got named the marshall of the Nords.
I accidentally skipped the end message, anyone know what it says?
AKA what do can i do while marshall
Everybody follows you around so you can overrun shit.
wow the wiki is really fun to look at

Just reduced the Vaegirs down to Rivacheg, yeeee

You can ask a traveller in taverns where to locate a claimant, they can be anywhere but in the territory they try to claim
they generally seem to be in other nations' capital's in my experience
you could also try feasts, one I attended had not one but two claimants attending.
Gah, I hate waiting for war.
Is there any way to get my kingdom (Swadia) to war?
We are currently at peace with everybody.

Attack villages on the border with other countries, this can either provoke a war or cause restlessness within that nation.
You could also try downloading the Diplomacy mod. It adds a whole bunch of new options including being able to ask your king to go to war with another nation.
The diplomacy mod is really good.
As king of my own faction my vassal is constantly losing 5 relations with me, what gives

Envy?
"Bought the game and been playing alot over the past few days. Finally got to a Vassal of Swadia"
Becoming vassal for the first time, ahh.
Also, one does need days the first time, but after a time becoming a vassal will take a hour or two.
Envy?
I gave him a fief and he shut up

Every time you give a muddy little village to some snot-faced vassal to shut them up, the others look at you with angry eyes and wish they got that useless village.
It's really annoying that they can't understand that everyone gets a share, I went from being adored by my vassals to the majority of them wondering how I'd look with a knife in my back simply because I was generous with giving out fiefs.
You can change that with tweak mb. I wouldn't really call it cheating since it's really fucking stupid.
damnit, I was about to wage war on the khergit, who I had previously almost destroyed, and then all of a sudden swadia is like "lol we hate you" even though im friends with almost half the lords
Wow I can't believe how using tactics help so much. Usually I just charge, but I started using some tactics, shitty tactics too, and it works 5 times better. I make some archers go on a hill, make my infantry and mounted companions charge, and get the cavalry to follow me and flank them.
I gave one in my party a castle as a fief, but he didn't get the village, and if I talk to him it's only the "who would you think would rule the village?" and he says "I support myself" and then I automatically says "lets talk about something else than politics"
Oh, and the vaegirs decided to make peace after I took some of their castles.

i wasn't giving fiefs to anybody but ok
Okay 1) King Haralus is a greedy bastard. Literally the past 6 towns and or castles we have got, he gives them all to himself, while I'm still stuck with the poorest village on the outskirts of the kindom, so it gets raided every day.
2) Was riding to one of the capitals with the rest of the counts and the marshal, and they all stopped beside it but didn't start the siege, thinking I'd take the initiave, I started the seige and after my ladders were done figured I'd go ahead and battle and they would all join in.
Nope, they all sat outside the castle while my 50 guys took on the 150 in the castle, and then, when I was defeated, and the castle was down to 25 troops, they attack and win obviously.
And fucking King Haralus gave the castle to himself.
ALL MY RAGE

Yep if you have about 25+ Rhodok Sharpshooters. Go on top a hill and hold it. Let them rip their crossbows and watch as the bolts melt the enemy's head.
so i just fucked up the khergit and eliminated them, and then the asshole nords decide to declare war for NO REASON
but its funny because I just wrecked Rhodoks and Swadia when they also declared war on me, and i just single-handedly destroyed the khergit
maybe I can get the vaegirs to re-declare war on them
can i use my current native save in diplomacy mod?
Just got in a battle of 56 vs 333...
I won.
Nords>All
I won a battle of 400 Swadians with like 100 Nords :v:
[editline]22nd May 2011[/editline]
So the Vaegirs dont have any sort of castle/city, how do i make it so they dont exist anymore?
im on original m&b

all if the vaegir lords need to choose another faction to be a vassal of and the king goes into exile outside calradia, that's how it works in warband anyway
